Awful service, although lots of cars. I came to get a headlamp gasket, and left empty handed. They have hundreds of cars, but no idea what cars are where!. No map. I tied twice to find it myself, but failed, and the third time someone had to drive me to it. But she didn't know where the Mitsubishis were either. And if you are handicapped or can't walk well, forget about going into this yard, its a minefield.
My experience with Don's Auto Salvage was initially a good one, their subframe was good, even came with extra parts that I could utilize for the project car. HOWEVER, I would advise extreme caution with their engines, transmissions, or anything with moving parts, especially those vulnerable to having debris fall inside. I purchased an engine that had metal beads on top of the pistons that prevented the whole assembly from turning over. These metal beads were from the junkyards removal process. After many shenanigans, arguing back and forth about who's fault it was that the engine did not work, the metal beads were discovered and shown to Don's. DON'S MADE THINGS RIGHT, and agreed to pay for the cost to fix and reassemble the engine, from the block up. While I did not receive the full compensation I felt was deserved for labor and travel, I did receive the cost paid in parts plus an additional 20%. To avoid this hassle, shop elsewhere, however if it does happen, I trust that Don's would make it right if proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that they were in the wrong. I believe they deserve 2.5 stars.
Absolutely great customer service! I was looking for a mirror for my car and Kayla went above an beyond to help me locate a mirror. She didn't stop helping because they didn't have what I was looking for. Kayla provided exceptional service and also provided me with information she didn't have to. In the future I will be calling back for their services!
I called and was told they had a couple vehicles that may have what I needed. When I arrived they only had two vehicles neither had the part. It's not advertised it's a pick and pull just a junkyard you have to pull any part you need yourself. Their inventory list is incorrect . I asked one man for help and he said he was too busy. I may go back one day to see if I can find something cosmetic wise for my car, but definitely not for any important parts!
I’ve been getting parts here for many years now. The ladies behind the counter and the guys in the yard are very helpful.
They have stood behind their warranties with no issues.

Don’t buy anything from this place. And don’t pay and say save it for me .I will come pick it up or anything like that. New hood was for Honda was 150. They want rusty hood they want 185 If you like ur money. And time. Don’t. Don’t don’t goooo there
Salvage yard has a lot to choose. Lots of options. Employees are nice and polite too.
I asked if I could go in the yard and look at parts and see what I can get, they had no problem letting me in, just explained which direction to go and that’s it. Definitely be back.
Came here for a used transmission, paid for it and was told it would be pulled. 2 weeks later, I called and asked when it would be ready. The guy said the order hadn't been put in and he would make sure it got done. I showed up to find out the fluid was burned. It was on a skid out front, and never moved. I got charged 20% restocking fee for a core. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR PARTS BEFORE BUYING GUYS! Fluids, plugs etc. Will NOT do business with people who deliberately take your money and not try to make an effort to make it right.
Said they had what I was looking for, when i got there, gave very vague directions, like it bothered him, turns out they had none of the vehicles we were looking for, seem very lazy, and bothered to wait on us...Will never go to this place again, if I could give them a 1/4 of a star rating I would, but can't, don't waste your time with these clog la dites! Terrible arrogant lazy employees!
I drove 7 hours from New York to buy a Mitsubishi Lancer transmission was awd I left suspicious because you don't know what kind of person you are with But the reality I thank you and I recommend that you sell good used parts and everything went well for me Now my car drives like new I’m happy
I live almost 2 hours from this place. I called and talked to someone twice to verify the car door was available and I was told yes. I also was told as long as I was out by 1:00 it was okay to come still and this was at about 12:10, I got to the place at about 12:25 to take a door off and she told me I couldn’t take it off so we drove all the way back out 2 days later to get the door, driving another 2 hours, and the car wasn’t even there. I’m completely disgusted with this place, don’t tell someone something is available when it’s not. Wasted my time and gas to get nothing.
This is Deonna Jenkins Can never get in touch with the owner of the car I bought her name is Kelly sold me a messed up car pretty much and now need my timing belt changed I’ve spent over $1,000 on parts and things to get fixed my Valve was open and it shouldn’t have been which caused my steering wheel to lock up after I got gas.!! I just want my timing belt changed and I want her or anybody in the shop to do it for fare pricing I might get rid of the car soon I need to speak to her tho due to the fact that I was told nothing was wrong and every since I’ve had it been taking it to the shop spending money out of pocket that I barely have I need this car to be in top top shapeeeee!!!! If you want great service an friendly service this is where to go not only did they help me find parts at a good price ! They did the repairs . Being a person that just knows, how to put gas in a car I was happy i found people that I could trust.!!!! I'm a very happy customer .
The staff is very helpful and give you some great deals!! My father has a hard time walking, so the guy jumped in one of the yards vehicles and came out into the field to pick him up. I send everyone to them! Good job guys!!
Every since Kelly and Billy took over it has been a world of difference! All new inventory, lower prices and new technology. The customer service is awesome! JY goes above and beyond for us. He will run out personally and check things out if you need it. Two thumbs up!!
If I could give no stars I would. My husband owns his own business so at times he has to go to a junk yard to get parts for his customers. Well he went today to purchase a rear end for a customer took it back to shop found out it was bad, not even a half hour later he took it back he figured it wouldn't be a problem since he had his receipt, well he dealt with Billy. He said too bad I am only going to give you back $100 of the $212 that we paid, he said the $112 was a restocking fee. He said either that or nothing at all. He told my husband you should have checked it before you took it, it was laying in he mud. Never again! Don't buy from this place. My husband is used to dealing with other reputable yards in the valley but never again will he be back here!
Sold my 18 year old son a BAD motor front and rear main oil seals leaked, three crankshaft flywheel bolts where stripped. We live in California and stated the absolute need for a motor that was CARB compliant. THEY DID NOT.. PAID 600 DOLLARS 200 to ship so 800 dollars of my sons money gone. it was the first time he`d ever bought anything like that and his first experience was a BURN. thirty days outside the thirty day warranty, I called did my best to present a good case and due cause for a refund DENIED, WARRANTY EXPIRED is what I was told. They broke a few laws. 1 CARB law when that motor crossed the state line. second when they sold my son the wrong motor..2006 cobalt Engine California emission with air check valve they shipped us the wrong motor, they sent a non California motor DO NOT BUY FROM DONS AUTO SALVAGE IF YOU LIVE ON THE WEST COAST.
