Omg did you know that this place is a nudist resort?! Great music with Mark. Fun activities all weekend long! If you like Pokémon it’s lousy with them here! The Tennis on Saturdays and Sundays is fabulous, and the players are very welcoming. You can camp or pull in your RV or rent one of the hotel rooms.

We had an amazing time. This is one of, if not the best run naked fun place we’ve visited. The locals were really friendly and inviting. The activities, and high energy vibe was amazing. I highly recommend.

The place: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ One of my all time favorite spots! The staff, residents, and visitors are all awesome! I enjoy the pools, the bar is good, and they have good American comfort food. They have avocado you can add to things. There is plenty of hiking, racket ball sports, and basketball. I will try to make it for the 5k this year. Definitely a regular spot of mine now, although this is my second visit. The accessibility: ⭐⭐⭐ This time I came with a friend who uses a wheelchair and we were able to access some things and not others. -The front office has stairs and no ramp, but the beautiful person who checked us in came down to the car for the run down and paperwork. ❤️ You can call them and they answer quickly and are very helpful. They have some cool things to buy in the office so make sure to ask about that if you can't get up the stairs or have a friend who can. -The road is a bit steep, as it is in the mountains. -The lower pool area is accessible if you go down and around the building just before the front office. - The bathrooms and open bay showed are accessible by ramp. -The shaded sun decks have a step up. -The bar has a steep ramp. -The main pool had no lift chair -The conversation pool has no step and there is a chair lift, but the lift wasn't working yesterday. They tried to fix it for us, perhaps they will have it fixed soon. -The hot tub has a chair lift but there are several steps to get up to that area. -The restaurant is accessable with no steps. Accessability if room 20: ⭐⭐⭐ Rooms 20 and 21 are listed as accessable and have reserved parking right next to the room. You can get to the pool area by going down the steep road from the room. I wouldn't call the room itself accessable for wheelchair use, but we made do. -There is a small rise at the door itself -There is a sharp turn right at the entrance, so a standard push wheelchair couldn't get in until we removed the feet. -The bathroom doesn't have an accessable shower or handles for the toilet. I wouldn't call it accessable, but there is an outside shower that is open bay. Overall it is a lovely place with lovely people! It just has a few rusty spots where they could improve on wheelchair accessability.

Been going here for a few years now. Lately it has become extremely strict. Security and the women in the office watch on everyone camera like hawks. They put on a sexy vibe with sex games, drinking , music and a bunch of naked adults. Then god for bid if a couple start making out amd being a little touchy ,security comes flying out of nowhere to yell and threaten you. Straight double standards here. Staff in office very unprofessional. It definitely went down hill in the last year. It is pretty much a resort like prison with eyes on you at all times not very relaxing.

An amazing place where you can camp, park an Rv, swim, play volleyball, lounge in a jacuzzi, hike and even jump out of a plane all while being naked. A truly freeing place that must be experienced.

It was my friend and myself first time going to a nudist place and it was a good experience for the 4th of July weekend. They were very friendly and accommodating. We did a day pass and the host made sure they laid down the law and made sure all of us checking in knew that this was a FAMILY friendly environment. Period. Firework display=excellent Band=excellent Food and drink: 4/5 (burger, hotdog and virgin Shirley temple) Staff were very vigilant and checked for any sign of weirdos or inappropriate behavior. Would come again!

My wife and I made our first visit on a weekday, and we have a lovely time. We hung out by the pool for several hours and took a walk around the grounds. We were pleasantly surprised at the number of couples, the security, the beauty of the place overall, and the friendliness of the people we encountered. It was our first time a a resort, but we have been to nude beaches. Overall, it seemed there were fewer creepy single males than we experience at the beach. I shouldn't say 'fewer', there weren't any in our experience at Sunny Rest. I'm sure if it gets more crowded and there's alcohol flowing, the overall vibe might be different, but my very attractive wife felt very comfortable. We will be back.

We recently stayed at Sunny Rest for the first time over the weekend, staying at one of the newer RV sites (D34). This was among 5 sites that were in the process of being added, where the back of the sites was all loose dirt where electric, water and sewage had just been added. Made for limited outdoor space and kind of a mess with all the recent rain. Having said that, we were fortunate to be able to get a site as this place is very popular, with a lot of seasonal people with established sites and limited RV and tent sites offered throughout. Those established locations were grassy and generally pretty nice. The people at the resort were all very friendly and welcoming, saying hi and chatting with you. Likewise with the staff, overall very welcoming. The atmosphere is pretty casual, while clothing optional, you really only are expected to be undressed at the pool or hot tub and it feels completely natural. You will also see people walking around naked, topless or partially clothed - no pressure or judgement. The food at the grill is really great! Was a little disappointed with the fare at Irv’s bistro. Drinks at the bar at expensive but also very good. They had open mic/karaoke on Friday night and a terrific band on Saturday, both out on the pool deck. That was a lot of fun! All in all, a great time and we are looking forward to going back. Tips: - bring lots of sun screen, obviously - comfortable shoes to walk in (golf carts are ideal), you will do a lot of walking depending on where you are - bugs are not that bad but are around, so repellent of some kind - not a lot of fire wood around, bring this with you

I recently stayed in a cabin at SRR and it was lovely. So peaceful. My own porch with a table and chairs. The cabin was very clean and updated. The bed very comfortable and lots of pillows.

Was a great place with one problem. The security guard is on a power trip. I had a issue but instead of talking to me about it. I did have a reason. He just treathend me and would not give me a chance to tell my side. Ended fine but instead of him talking to me calmly he talked loud so every one heard. Was embarrassing. Rest of my stay was awesome. GO there every year.

Just went for the day, second visit. A relaxing, morning walk, read a book, any and all of the above. Lot's of regulars, but contrary to a visit last year, very friendly. The morning, inspite of great weather the pool area, including hot tub and relaxing pool, just about empty. All you need is sun screen and a smile and a few towels.

I have been going to Sunny Rest since the 90's and have seen many positive and negative changes. I do not enjoy the fact that they allow way too many single males into the resort. It is not a very comfortable feeling knowing your girlfriend or wife is going to be hit on several time daily by single men looking for a" score". We do not go there for my girlfriend to be hit on. We enjoy spending time "together" nude, outdoors. We love the experience however, we wish management would emphasize to the single men this is "no hit zone" when they enter the lodge. If a couple or single female is interested in this type of activity, let them be the aggressor. The constant single male attention is a true turnoff for many that visit the lodge. I wish management would balance the gender percentage, and not just focus on their bottom line. Finally, i wish they would bring back the indoor hot tub. J and B

First time here, my girlfriend and I are AANR members so we travel around the country to different resorts. We brought her friend with us this time. Sunny Rest is one of the nicer nudist resorts in the midwest/east coast. It gets very busy but having both pools and hot centrally located to everything makes it nice. The bar is solid and food isn't too bad. Prices for overnight stays and daily membership is a little higher than most resorts we've visited in the US including cypress Cove. There is definitely a lot of members who were very friendly and helpful. Karaoke on Thursday was fun and the nigh club on the weekends were mostly clothed outside of the resort people. Overall a great place to sit by the pool nude and relax. Lots of fun themed weekends and our aanr membership got us a discount. Only downfall is the price compared to other resorts. But if we're in the area we will be back.

We go here on a day basis a couple of times a summer on a weekday. Everyone very friendly, snack bar and drinks bar are very reasonably priced and always fresh and tasty. The pool is heated and there are always plenty of lounge chairs available. In the morning there's usually a rousing, though friendly game of pool volleyball. The rest of the day we just lounge and swim. The only knock is that the music speakers are often way too loud.

I did a lot of research and asked a lot of questions of the staff. They were very responsive. My wife and I spent a day there recently. We can tell you that is was an awesome experience. Beautiful scenery, excellent facilities, everyone was so nice and respectful. We will definitely go again soon!

We had such a blast at Sunny Rest for the skydiving event we hosted with them! It was so wonderful working with the staff a big shout out to Halsie and Pam for making sure everything ran smoothly! This was our first time being introduced to a community like this and I cannot get over how welcoming and respectful everyone was!! We can't wait to come back for skydiving but we will definitely be stopping in again this summer to hang out at the facilities again!! We love Sunny Rest!

We didnt stay overnight. The exterior of the rental units looked well maintained. The campground toilets were very clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Food was surprisingly good. The recreation area was crowded and space at a premium but there was a footrace that likely drew the larger than usual crowd. The area is not flat by any means. Careful pulling a trailer

Staff is miserable. I think they work them non stop! The people that are regulars do not need to follow the rules. As soon as you do the same as them, you are told you can be kicked out. Tons of other people with drink containers and even eating their own food around the pool areas! I’ve got an idea, don’t charge 3x the price and automatically add 18% gratuity! Am I on a cruise or camping!?!? Towel “rule” also a joke! Deputy Duey thinks he is all powerful at the gate and clearly has no idea on how to do his job. Overheard other campers complaining about same concerns.

We just spent my birthday in my birthday suit as required. Sunny Rest exceeded our expectations. The cabin we rented was clean and comfortable. The facilities were a bit limited since we were there mid week and late in the season. But the pool, hot tub, conversation pool were all wonderful. The bar was open as was the snack bar with very tasty pizza; cheeseburgers and tacos that we tried. As guests, we also had a full breakfast included in the restaurant. We heard from the other guests that the Prime Rib on Friday night is especially tasty and always sells out. We’ll need to come back next season to verify that and we certainly plan to do just that! We hiked the nature trails as well as most of the streets. Since it”s located on a mountain, this was quite a nice workout but very comfortable “au natural,”

We stayed 2 weeks ago and loved it so much we went a week later. We stayed in the cabin the second time and it was awesome. Eveyone here is friendly and so is the staff. Its both family friendly and adult friendly. Security walks around and let you have a great time as long as your not being too obscene or disrespectful. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. Also to have a bar at the pool was amazing. I will be back again definetly.

This place is absolutely magical. I went here when I was going through a tough time in my life and was able to find myself. The people here are fantastic the vibe is fantastic everything is just fantastic. The resort is clean secure and completely tailored to what you make of it. I highly recommend.

Only made it to the pool area but had a great time. Spent some time in the hot tub, laid out for almost 5 hours. Had a nice lunch at the food area, restaurant is closed due to a fire. Wanted to use the nature trail but never made it that far. Staff were friendly and efficient. Debating a membership there. No complaints at all.

We really liked it here. Nice facilities, friendly people. Mostly nice office staff. Terrific bar staff, and great drinks. Food truck adequate - don't bother calling for local restaurants to deliver like their flyers say - they won't. Great pools. During covid - people not really following rules, but it's your choice to stay away from them since it's all outside. Had to tell 2 clueless people not to sit RIGHT next to us in a nearly empty hot tub. Expensive, but highly recommend. One tip - if staying in rooms like us, stay away from room 1,2 or 3. Garbage trucks empty 5 dumpsters right outside window for 20 mins every other night at 4:30 am. FUN!!
