Bought an alternator for my truck off them from Ebay and spoke to Guy over the phone a few times super helpful and willing to do whatever it takes to make sure I got the right part. Much appreciated. Highly recommended.
People here are worthless. I called before I arrived but they treated me like a ghost when I arrived they wouldn’t get off their phones to actually help with 4 guys standing around doing nothing... Save yourself the gas money GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!
Part worked fine and prices are in line with the market. Did have a half hour wait as apparently part ordered was misplaced and another part had to be pulled/ located.
We called about a week ago about a rack n pinion for our car. We lucked out n they had one. They quoted us a price of 125. Well we couldn't find a ride to go get the part so asked if they were able to ship it. They said they could 3 times I asked 125 for the part and 35 for shipping.. yes ma'am.. Soo I go n get a PayPal card n go to pay him. N the request is for 167.50. 7.50 more than I was told. Had to pay again to get to the store to get and add money which didn't work. So the lady who works at DG said she'd take me to get the part. . which we did yesterday. Now there's a 50/50 shot of it working. Cuz instead of taking the hoses off. They just cut em so if we can't get em off we baught this part for nothing
S&S was fantastic. I called on a Friday at 5 and they still went out until the yard to see they had what I was looking for and they will call me back. They called me back at 5:20 saying they had it. Went up on a few days later said when I called about and they knew exactly where to go and what it costed. Super nice people unlike other yards, they have newer vehicles.

I called them for a specific part an even though they did not have my part I managed to get a good quality service from them. An I have received good deals on many other parts from there place of business.
Drove 50 mins to get a rim for my car, and they said it was a 15 inch. I get alll the way home take it to the garage only for them to tell me it was a 17 inch. I call the salvage yard back up, not happy. They didn't compensate or anything. Instead ordered me one to come in the next day and I HAD TO DRIVE there AGAIN to pick it up. They wouldn't deliver it or anything for their mix up
Don't know yet if the used transmission I bought here is any good. It's being put in tomorrow. But regardless these people were a pleasure to deal with, with reasonable prices and quick service.A+
Jake, I appreciate you I appreciate your honesty and I appreciate you taking the time to even break down and explain everything to me. And the same thing that you just told me is something that I already felt in my spirit to do. I just said I'm going to hang on to my money and add more money on to it and just buy it from a dealer remanufactured. There are not too many people that would take time and patience with someone they're just out to get their money and I appreciate the fact that you even gave me the advice that you did and that alone made my day. Had some kids try to turn into my lane and forced me off road causing my tire to blow out 911 call SS this guy was prompt looked at my car found my spare towed me to a parking lot changed my tire and didn’t even charge 60$ in these times of Joe they were a god send and on 4th July week end couldn’t ask for a better community based service he wanted to help not price gouge thank you so much me and the 2 boy appreciate every thing you guys did for us couldn’t ask for a better service
Great place! Staff was very knowledgeable and helpful! The one guy was very patient and answered all my autistic sons questions. Wish I could remember his name. But he deserves a raise lol
I purchased a part (transfer case) from them and it was as described, had fast shipping, & packaged extremely well. They had excellent communication: they went above and beyond in that respect as we had emails back and forth for about a week to make sure I got what I needed. They even threw in a bonus manual shifter at no charge. I would gladly buy from them again and will check with them first from now on.

Horrible customer service, called Tuesday to see if they had it and the price, I found the NEW part for $10 more at sdtrucksprings.com but needed it sooner then it could arrive. Called backed on Wednesday to have the part ready for when I made over an hour trip out to the business. I show up Thursday and they told me I had to wait for someone to go get it, after waiting some time he was not able to get in contact with said guy on the the radio so not having any clue as in how long the wait was going to be I left.
Short staffed and disorganized is the feelings I got. Sat around for a extra hour waiting for them to pull some parts. Where nice but don’t tell people to be there at a certain time twice for them to show up and have to wait a extra hour.
I had a great first time only purchase thanks to Jake. Guy very professional and friendly customer experience. I had to do an exchange for which I was hoping I would have problem and Jake helped me and made it so easy. Any parts you need these guys are great!
I drove almost 4 hours from the philly area because they listed a transmission with lower miles, and much cheaper than I could find closer to me. I did wait a bit for the trans to be loaded onto my truck, but it was a snowy and hectic day for them. We haven't installed the trans yet, but it looks good, no rust or visible damage. It was taken out with care, not hacked out like other yards sometimes do. I was treated very well, and it not for the distance, would definitely use this yard again for our shop!
Could have secured the part my mechanic ordered a little better. It cost my husband an extra hour of labor for the mechanic to prepare the part for installation due to shipment damage. Also, shipping took a week which may or may not be part of the responsibility of S & S Salvage.
Purchased a rim from them on Ebay. They were very honest about the quality of the rim and gave a discounted price because they felt the original rating was too high. The rim arrived in a timely manner and was just what my car needed!
