I have been dealing with DelGuerico's for almost 20 years my business In Motion Tire and Auto has been open. Every time I call them and need something handled, they have been there for us. Great service and fair pricing.

We’ve been using DelGuerico’s for 3 years and have no complaints. They have great customer service via phone call and are able to take many items during trash pickups. We will miss using them once we move!

I've been with DelGuerico's for about 5 years. They've always picked up my trash and recycling on schedule. I recently moved and talked to someone in the office regarding large item pickup, then again regarding setting the last day for pickup and picking the cans. Both phone conversations were very pleasant; the woman that I spoke could not have been any nicer! If they had service in the area that I'm moving to I would not hesitate to continue to use them.

We never have any issues. Office staff is extremely nice and informative. Truck drivers are efficient and thoughtful. They always secure the cans after they collect garbage.

UPDATE: Their service has improved, they stopped skipping picking up around the holiday's and Customer Service has gotten friendlier. Only major complaint is that we can't set-up automatic payment. Their system is pretty old school. Also they still don't recycle, but to be honest I don't think many the other trash companies do either. They just say they do. At least DelGuerico's is honest about it when you ask. We use their residential Trash Service/Recycling. I've never had issues with a trash company before and I typically don't complain. But they just suck at doing business altogether. The customer service is awful. We didn't receive a bill and we tried calling and the VM was full. We tried multiple times. When we finally reach someone they were so rude and not customer friendly. Additionally, it's important to know that though they give you a Recycling Bin they DO NOT recycle. It all just gets thrown in the trash truck.

Changed my opinion from: 5-stars and "Awesome, efficient and inexpensive" to 1-star, they've gone completely MIA. No pick-ups for more than two weeks, their phone message indicates nothing wrong, the voice mailbox is completely full. I hope nothing catastrophic has occurred. However, changing trash/recycling service because we need some level of communication and service. UPDATE AUG 9 2023: So they contact me with a bill in early MAY 2023 saying I owe them $71 for non-return of trash containers since they have magically stayed in business. I return the trash/recycling containers and according to the receipt, they now owe me $103. I've been calling for the past 3 months to try to get my money back and I keep getting excuses. I'll never get the money they owe me back; this has just become a weekly hobby calling them for me.

Had service with them for about 2 and a half years. Only stayed with them since the cost was the lowest. In that time there were at least 7 times I can remember they failed to pick up trash and we were also notified by letter that our area will no longer be serviced recently- which isn't the worst except we had paid for the year and have yet to see a refund for the 4 or so months we paid for but will not receive service. Calling the office gets you no one assuming their mailbox isn't full, if you email you may get a reply but its unlikely.

I was a customer for years, then one day I am notified by DelGuerico's that another company will be picking up my trash. A month goes by, then the new company tells me they can no longer pick up my trash either and essentially dropped me as a customer. Keep in mind I was still paying DelGuerico's, so the two companies had some sort of partnership. I have since switched to a new company, but now will have a 3 week gap in trash & recycling pickup because not being notified further in advance by DelGuerico's. DelGuerico's clearly did not value me as a customer and left me high and dry. I would rate zero stars if that was an option.

The fine people at DelGuerico's have always provided a reliable service, even picking up items I forget to call about. We have left extra cardboard and they cheerfully pick that up. It is a local family business, always cordial and accommodating. They can't always pick up the phone but will call you back. Some other companies come by to offer specials and cheap service but none have been better. Set it and forget it!

It seems I am not alone in my dislike of this company. It’s the same story- we moved into a home where the previous homeowners used DelGuerico’s. We found a less expensive service and canceled DelGuerico’s who said they would come get the cans. Well it’s been 6 months and no less that 15 calls about the cans sitting in the street out front awaiting pickup. They never came.

Same story here. Been a customer for a number of years. Service has been fine until one week they didn’t pick up. Then the next week they didn’t pick up. Tried calling. No response. After a few weeks, I received a letter saying they were cancelling my route. Still didn’t pick up my trash, rotting in the hot sun by this point with maggots, etc. Switched to Whitetail who were kind enough to pick up the trash in the DelGuerico’s trashcan to help me out. Three months later DelGuerico’s still haven’t picked up their cans despite about a dozens calls. They always say they are so busy and the guy that picks up the cans is doing the best he can. Complete trainwreck of a company. Pathetic.

We had them as our trash collector for the last 5 years. Service was great until recently. Last week a driver pulled up honking the horn. My wife went out to see what the problem was and he began yelling at her about the "extra" trash out. He was rude, biligerent and told her to just go to the competition because he doesn't want our business. Well, he got what he wanted! I will never deal with this company again.

Just picked up today's mail and opened a letter from this company stating that they will no longer provide service (household trash removal) to us (and our neighborhood). No call, no warning, just trash and recycling sitting on the road in front of all homes on the road for two weeks now. I called earlier in the day but no one answers the phones (called 8 times). This is no way to run a business! At least give the customers a heads up so we can plan. Would provide zero stars if possible.

Moved into a new house whose previous owners used this service. We signed up for a different service and called DelGuerico’s to come pick up their cans. We’ve contacted them many times about getting them picked up and it’s always “we’ll put the work order on the top of the pile” or “we’re short staffed”. One lady we talked to was not so kind about it. And it’s not like they don’t come around. The neighbors use their service and their cans get emptied (surprisingly) every week. Now they expect us to bring them over and drop them off ourselves. Judging by how they treat their actual customers, can’t say I’m too surprised.

This company has horrible customer service. The ladies in the office are extremely rude and miserable. They did not pick up our trash the week of Memorial Day and wrote a Facebook post about picking up the following week, no email or phone calls to the customers. Then June 4, after not having picked up trash for two weeks, decided to call their customers in the late afternoon and inform them as of June 1 we are no longer taking care of you. I called them and asked why are you telling me this now and all she said was if we had help I would have called sooner, no apology just a rude tone in her voice like I am supposed to know what is going on. Now still almost three weeks after that call we have no refund! They did not pick up our cans which still have trash in them sitting by the end of our driveway for over a month now smelling the neighborhood up. The manager on the phone today was just awful. I would not be calling every week if they followed through and did what they said they would. So for being a good customer and paying our bill as soon as it arrived the beginning of May I get screwed in so many ways. This is not the first time they have been rude and not picked up weekly trash. Do yourself a favor and find another company to pick up your trash. If they handle this situation better I would not be writing this review. There is so many different ways this could have been handled but this is the way they choose to do it, says a lot about them!

If I could give less than one star, I would. While DelGuerico’s may offer the lowest price for residential trash collection and recycling, they do not provide the service promised. Although my husband and I were paying for weekly trash pick up and recycling, for months DelGuerico’s has been sending a single truck and throwing our recycling in with the trash. We tried contacting DelGuerico’s NUMEROUS times over several months but were never able to reach anyone by phone or online, so we decided to cancel our service. At the time we did, the woman I spoke with told me that a check would be mailed to us for the prepaid service not used at that point. It’s now several months later and my husband and I still have not received this refund. I’ve been calling for two weeks trying to reach someone, again with no luck. I also submitted an inquiry online that got no response. I was finally able to reach someone this morning, only to have her tell me “We do not issue refunds”. When I told her that the person I spoke with to cancel the service told me otherwise, without even knowing who it was, she responded “that person was wrong and no longer works here”. After clearing up the fact that she didn’t even know who originally gave me the information she repeated “we do not issue refunds”. I highly recommend that you do not use DelGuerico’s if you’re looking for reliable trash collection and recycling. They do not provide the service you’ll be paying for and refuse to refund money for services not used.

My neighbor signed up, they took her money and still haven't picked up the trash or delivered trash cans. You call and it's either busy or goes to voicemail and the mailbox is full. The one time I did get through I spoke to Tony and he said just put the trash out in bags and we will pick it up. NOT. It's now been two weeks and no response. Even emailed them and no reply. They use to be a good service years ago. Not anymore. Go to Holland which my neighbor should have done. She doesn't have a computer or email, so I'm writing the review for them. I'd give them zero stars, but that's not an option.

This company just stopped picking up our trash and recycling. We are paid in full for two more months. I have tried calling the office but no one answers the phone. I recently checked with the Better Business Bureau and this company has an "F" rating. It's a shame they cannot pick up one bag of trash and a small amount of recycling each week. If a zero stars rating was an option, this would be the company to get it.

I am using DelGuerico 2 years and service is outstanding. If Ever I have a question about a large item I'm spoken to courteously and professionally. If there's a delay in trash pick up because of snow or a holiday I always get an email. On the occasion where I have not gotten the cans to the street they have waited for me to get to the curb with it. I am well pleased with this service provider. A separate truck always comes out for the recycles. On one occasion I mistakenly put yard debris in recyclables and the Collector removed it and put it into the trash can. I am convinced this company performs services correctly.

We have had DelGuerico's for many years now, probably 10 or more. Their price has never gone up. We have full service trash removal. The drivers are great. I have never had a bad experience with the office on the few occasions I needed to call. We will continue with their service.

By the looks of all the other reviews it seems to be on point with a very rude office staff!!! I just spoke to Leigh DelGuerico's who called me a pig over the phone and hung up on me. I have had this service for one year, which she argued with me saying I didn't. When she verified that she said "good for you." When I first got my cans I was told a shipment of the larger cans (which is what I pay for) would be in within the week and they would exchange them out. After numerous phone calls, I have been told several times this was being dealt with. One year later we still have the small cans at the large can rate. I spoke to Emily who was extremely professional and helpful and she reassured me she would take care of this. She also said billing would look in to a credit for the entire year of over payment. When she connected me to Leah she said the owner will probably not give you a credit, when a credit is due. Why should this even be a question? I have been extremely patient for an entire year, and have every right to be frustrated over being overcharged without the product. Given the fact that this is the way someone who clearly is of relation to ownership speaks to people says a lot about their ethics and how they run their company. I would have hoped after a customer being patient and waiting for an entire year that this would have been an easy fix!

Worst company ever! They lie when they miss picking up and then rude staff actually cursed at us when we called to inquire. Who has time to call a trash company 25 times to find out why they only picked up twice in 2 months when you paid in advance for three months? When we finally canceled, they took another 1.5 week to pick up their trash cans while telling us every day they’d be there(tomorrow). I have never written a negative review until now but this was warranted!! I wish I would have read these reviews before selecting them. I honestly do not know how they are still in business. One star is generous!

Steer clear - if you're on the "edge" of their service areas they will either completely forget to service your home or send a subcontracted company out. Not just my house in particular either, but all my neighbors that they service as well - there's about 5 of us in my neighborhood who mistakenly use DelGuerico's. Pickup gets missed altogether at least once a month - I can count 15 times in 2 years that my wife or I has had to call them to inquire when someone was going to come out. If we didn't call - would they just skip us altogether until the next week? Never a refund on the bill for a missed pickup, either. For a small, family-run business the office staff is incredibly rude and acts like it's not their problem when you call to say you were missed. Your only job is to show up and provide a service! All the other negative reviews are completely accurate. Also - they and their subcontractors seem to care less about separating trash and recycling - so I don't know why I pay for both or why I take the time to separate them. When we asked why it all goes in the same bin in the same truck we were told "it gets separated later" - YEAH RIGHT.

I have reach out to them via email, calls and texts at least 10 times. After you sign the contract they do not care about customers. They constantly tell me they are busy acquiring new customers. I signed a 3 year deal for 100 dollars a month and they jacked it up to 150 without even letting me know. Now they won’t let me cancel without paying a cancelation fee equal to 6 months of payments. Be aware before signing with them. I am not even able to get them on a call to discuss the contract. They do pick up the trash each week though on time. Only reason they got 2 stars.

Manager one of the Rudest people i have ever spoken to. Told me she was too busy to speak to me about an ongoing issue. Told me it was my fault. When i called her back to obtain her email to provide proof of the issue being discussed, she flat out hung up on me. Did not care at all if i cancelled service! Did not want to even attempt to get to the cause of the issue. I would be very cautious of signing on with this company! Promises up front & rude, unprofessional behavior once you are a customer! Not a way to keep a customer. They really are TRASH! Seriously disappointing to say the least. Not even sure i want to give the one star!
