I usually love coming into Skip’s candy store, especially with my boys… I was just in there tonight with my husband. The two ladies working there were not friendly at all. They were very rude. They made us feel like we were bothering them and I said happy new year when we were finished and got absolutely no response.. It was a very disappointing experience.

I just wanted to say thank you for being such wonderful , caring, patient people. The customer service I had while shopping tonight was a 10 out of 10! It was the biggest event of the year ! The grand illumination! There may have been close to 5000 people there ! It was chaotic but organized ! We have been going to peddlers village for decades. Our big traditional visits are the Thanksgiving scarecrows , Christmas grand illumination. Although we also come in just regular days too! Each time we come we have specific shops we shop in and my young daughters specifically have to go to the bakery, the Christmas store, and The candy shop ! My parents are getting older and my mom couldn’t make the trip this year. My dad who has bad hearing and has hearing aides came. He wanted to treat his granddaughters in the candy shop to some candy. (Recently at other facilities and stores I have noticed employees getting annoyed with him) he ask questions, sometimes needs things repeated, sometimes needs assistance purchasing with his credit card due to new advances in technology with being able to tap your card now instead of swiping. The employees to young ladies , that were working tonight one whom was a trainee, were so patient it melted my heart. They answered his questions multiple times, about the price bc he couldn’t hear , he wanted separate bags for the girls candy the appeased him and helped him get the right candy in the right bags, and walked him though the credit card purchase patiently with a smith on their face. All while dealing with a very crowded store ! They took their time but rang him up in an orderly fashion to keep the line moving. They were polite and happy. They did not make him feel less than or stupid. It speaks volumes to the kind of humans that they are ! And I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart! Good hiring at this shop! God bless and merry Christmas to all.

This is my absolute favorite candy shop! They are inclusive to food allergies and have just as many unique options for people with food allergies. Highly recommend to everyone in the area, visiting, or shopping online.

In the past I have purchased the commercially produced candy from the downstairs area and discovered after getting home that it was beyond the expiration date. Recently I purchased some of the house-made chocolate that is prepackaged and although the caramels were good because they were wrapped in cellophane, the toffee with nuts were stale because it isn't an air tight container. With the prices they charge, I won't be risking stale candy again. And the last time I got candy from behind the counter they just threw everything into a bag and not in a box. I have been reading other reviews that state the same thing, and the owner claims to be speaking to the employees about it, but apparently nothing is changing. So I am thinking three strikes and you're out.

Definitely a candy lover’s dream. There are so many unique items for sale. Did not appreciate the over 3% credit and debit card fee disguised as “regulatory” costs - “Pay Cash and Save” is a standard phrase used when advertising an explicit credit card fee.

I’ve been coming here every year for the past 5 years for their fudge. The pumpkin one in particular is amazing. However, the customer service is awful and I will no longer be returning. I went in this past Monday evening, walked in and smiled, only to be ignored by the young lady behind the counter. I’m not sure if it’s been bad luck but I’ve been treated poorly every year I go. It’s a shame but I’ll stick to the delivery option to avoid the poor interaction.

I was at Skip's today and we bought a little bit of candy. My family is four weeks removed from Wildwood and our regular candy shop. I was craving fudge and I decided to buy some vanilla fudge. It was not good. It does not remind me a vanilla fudge from the shore. I can't even tell anyone what the taste was but it's not vanilla. The service was fast and if you don't pay with cash there is a small service fee. It's hard to believe you need a service fee for premade candy that has a 75-80% mark-up. The store is a great place to visit I was just sad with my purchase of my vanilla fudge.

The Candy Corner was unbelievable. My 2 great nieces 7 & 11 were overwhelmed with the variety of candy they have including some oldies but goodies from my era. They filled their shopping baskets and their aunt (me) treated them to an assortment of treats. I also bought fudge for my husband (the big kid). Both the traditional and chocolate peanut butter were delish! We'll be back for sure!

My cousins came up from Alabama to visit Peddlers Village, since I had been raving about it. As that had been traveling, they bought a lot of cash with them. They stopped into Skips Candy Corner to get some nostalgic candy and items that rang up to $50.22. When my cousin handed her a $50.00 the cashier told her they would accept it. She never even explained why, just stood there looking at her. I understand there are a lot of counterfeit bills out there but to be so rude? Don’t counterfeit pens work? Are customer service skills not implemented anymore? Bad form, Skips Candy. Bad form.

I been there a few times. Always Buy a few single items . Decided to buy a pound of chocolates. This were dumped inside a brown paper bag.. every chocolate store I visit places these in small boxes.. very disappointing. Skipping this store on my next visit to peddlers village

Got raspberry jellies and chocolate covered pretzels and they were all thrown into a bag. A box or at least two separate bags would have been nice especially at their prices. Store had a very bad smell. They won’t take bills over $20 which is silly. They do have a lot of fun old time candy that was cool to look at.

Always a popular attraction at the village. Great old school and new age goodies. Staff are great, haven't ever had a reason to be disappointed.

We had an enjoyable day browsing through Skip's Candy Corner. The variety was awesome and I even found black and orange sprinkles I needed for a graduation cupcake. The owner/cashier was friendly and made our visit enjoyable.

I stopped by this charming candy store while visiting Peddler's Village this past weekend. I might not be a big candy person, but I always enjoy purchasing freshly made chocolates from these little shops. This place has a great assortment of chocolates (including ones with alcohol), candies, and fudge. The prices can seem a bit steep, but the chocolates I purchased (assorted milk chocolates and cherry filled) were well worth it. The establishment is pretty well stocked, and they have a downstairs area with more assorted candies. It's definitely a great place to pick up candies for yourself or to give as gifts. I will be sure to stop in again the next time I am in the area.

This place is a little slice of heaven. It’s somewhat comparable to walking into Honeydukes for me if I were Harry Potter. Feasting my eyes on all the delectable sweets. The smell of pure sugary delight. I didn’t even notice there was a downstairs my first time, I was too distracted! There was some cool sodas and every candy you could imagine down there! What I ended up purchasing was chocolate fudge. Great consistency and taste. Also got a box of dark chocolate assorted truffles…omg worth the price! They’re all delicious. I love supporting a place like this rather than getting something like Lindor truffles for someone. Gift them something from this store! You won’t regret it.

It has a 50s vibe candy store feel. I love it and the candy selection most you can’t get anywhere else. I will be back.

This must visit family favorite opened back in 1993 and has outgrown their location in the village twice since then. Skips has been family run for three generations and also wholesales their handmade chocolates and candies in 11 states! Their Peddlers Village storefront is a candy wonderland featuring some of their handmade chocolates, fudge and candies as well as vintage and everyday candy favorites. I have so many memories from Skips from the last 25+ years and it has become an essential stop to any of my Peddlers Village trips!

***2022 UPDATE*** The selection has improved since the pandemic. More choices and staff seems friendlier. Really enjoy coming in when in the area. A great little candy store to stop in and get handmade chocolate or something else commercially made. They have a huge selection of candies to choose from for such a small store. They even have some drinks too. We stop in while walking around Peddler's Village to grab a few pieces of candy every time now. It is recommended to not bring strollers inside as there is an upstairs and downstairs in the store plus the main entrance is a step up into the store.

Stopped in to browse around while walking through Peddler's Village. Glad we did! Picked up a couple different kinds of fudge - very good! Also got some other various candies. Had a great selection and the staff was wonderful. Asked a few questions and they were very knowledgeable. Thanks for a great time!

Make this your last stop if you are taking it with you, unless you have a cooler in your car and are not buying chocolate. Less of a selection than I remember from my last visit but still enough to satisfy my sweet tooth.

A fantastic store with a variety of vintage candy, nut-free products, fresh fudge, creative chocolates and more. I visit regularly, what can I say, the sweet tooth takes over every so often. It get’s quite busy over the weekends, but it’s totally worth it. Would recommend visiting before you leave the Village if you are not planning to eat the chocolate on the spot, because it could melt in warmer weather. A great store, would recommend to anyone who want’s high quality candy. Good for holiday gifts as well.

Great candy selection unfortunately place does not accept u.s currency over $50. I spent close to 45.00 in there and they refused my cash. So we are forced to use cards. They said because of counterfeit issues they have had there in the past . Other than that it's a cute shop.

Skip’s has been a staple in our visits to Peddler’s Village for years. The shop has very nostalgic as well as modern candy, and you can not even begin to describe the atmosphere that one is presented with once interning the store. The staff is always friendly, and I can only laud the store as well as the staff for an amazing job well done. Great job Skip’s!!!

This is a really great candy store. We have been going here for years, and when our children were little, they loved looking through the selection of new and classic candy. This shop has friendly staff, and it is well organized. They have handmade items, like fudge, and many other classic items, like dots and licorice. It is definitely worth a stop if you were at the Peddler's Village area.
