Tried to get a car from here only for them to not be opened after they said they would be. Be careful is all I can say when purchasing a vehicle from them.
Went out if their way to stay open after hours. Answered all questions asked. Good sales person. Stop here and check out the used sales lot or the salvage yard for parts to fix u up
First time coming here very helpful staff ..told me things about my vehicle I didnt know and helped me find a part they didnt have in currently ...but where I could get it fast ... Very helpful ..cheap parts easy ....highly recommend!!!
Smithfield Auto Salvage was recommended by Sally’s in Waverly who doesn’t carry auto parts anymore. The Gentleman at Smithfield was very helpful even when he didn’t have the part in stock he recommended to get the part online I did and I was able to fix rear hatch glass the next day I got the part. Recently purchased a used motor from this business with a 30 day warranty. Since we are out of state we drove 4 hours for pick up and initial transaction went well. However, we had the motor installed which of course we had to pay a mechanic to do, it turns out the motor was not in working condition. It was knocking and just simply was in really bad shape. Now it's understood we all take a risk when purchasing a used item, however upon calling the owner of the business ten days after purchase he said he would honor the warranty but wanted the engine back at our expense, which would cost us close to another 1,000 dollars because we would have to pay the mechanic to take it back out and then pay for transport again. The owner sold us a bad motor! the least he could have done was refund our money and if he doesn't believe the engine is no good , he should come and pick it up himself - at his expense. Very unfair and such BAD BUSINESS. This review would not let me choose no stars...... Some people should just not be in business. Just a really sad situation. Shame on them.
Great people to deal with. They are honest and have really done well by me. I've purchased many many parts from them and always I make them my first call whenever I need something.
