I live in Lenhartsville area and had a flat on my way to work. He squeezed me in and fixed it, and got me on my way. If I didn’t have a mechanic shop next to where I work, I would use Mercer.

This is an excellent family run facility with a knowledgeable owner I was in a jam and he helped me out expertly and efficiently Thanks - a great business to support

Mercer Automotive repaired our car in no time flat. My wife and I were traveling with our 10 month old baby until our car broke down. We then somehow got our car to their automotive shop. We thought for sure our trip was over, until we met the owners. They were so nice and let us hang out in their lobby while they fixed our car in such a short amount of time. We are so grateful for their help and we highly recommend them for any of your car automotive needs.

They always do a great job helping us get our cars and trucks fixed, inspected, etc. They are fair and reliable with reasonable pricing!

Had my truck break down 450 miles from home and limped it in to Doug at Mercer auto. He diagnosed the problem but was unable to procure parts needed for the repair so he helped me get in touch with local folks who could help me. Doug and his wife are very friendly and helpful they got us back on the road and didn't ask for a dime. Thank you!

I’ve never had my car serviced here so I can’t comment on that, however, I drive past this place twice every day on my two and a half hour commute. The drive is long and tiring. But let me tell you, the sign outside cracks me UP every. single. time!!! It’s hilarious! They’re always so witty and creative. It always puts a smile on my face and turns my day around. Whoever is in charge of changing this sign is doing it RIGHT. it never fails! And they change it so often it always keeps me on my toes. Honestly 10/10. Good job! Lol!

32 feet up a hiking family with 15 kids had Van issues and Mercer auto prioritize them and help them diagnose their problem so they could get back on the Appalachian trail. They are so appreciative and kindness given to them

This place was a Godsend! We were on a road trip and got a punctured tire on the highway. We pulled off at the nearest exit and pulled over to check it. Looked up to find we were right in front of this repair shop. They took us in immediately and had us back on the road in less than 30 minutes for almost no $. The waiting room is beautiful and cozy, and the staff are extremely friendly. These are good people. 🙏🏻😇

Huge Thank you to these guys. I had an emergency issue with my Alluminum shield under my vehicle. They patched it up, and sent me back on the road within 15 mins. I was back on the road across state. All the staff was very sincere and accommodating to me and my family! Really appreciate it! ❤️❤️

Requested a tune up. The coils were not changed and my engine is still misfiring as a result. even if it’s not included in THIER tune-up package, after pushing me to replace my tires and brakes with them you’d think maybe they’d mention the coils?

Aug 2020: Having just moved to Lenhartsville from Southern California, we were worried about finding a garage for our small collection of cars. We found Mercer by accident and we are so very happy that we did. If there's such a thing as being happy to take your car for service or repair, then we are happy. It's always a pleasure to see Doug and Denise. Service cost is extremely fair and the work done is fantastic. Update Aug 2022: Doug is a technical and automotive genius. He has fixed issues for us nobody else--even in So Cal--could. He managed to figure out the issues in our Lancia and the always-present dash lights are finally off. We moved to Quarryville last year in August and have no problem driving the hour and 20 up to Mercer to drop off cars.

i was driving home from Pennsylvania to New York and after an hour into my trip, i hit something on the road creating a loud bang. then saw on my dash, a decrease in tire pressure. i was on i 78, found the nearest exit and luckily, Mercer Automotive was less than 1/4 mile from the parkway. i was so happy and grateful that they were able to look at my car promptly as i also had my 94 year old mother with me - whose functional ability was limited. when my car was evaluated, it was found that the tire rim was bent. it was hammered out, tire sealed and i was told i was good to go. i replied, ok thank you, just give me the bill and i was told no bill. i was amazed. i am not telling y'all this for you to expect to get your car serviced and have no charge but rather, to let you know what a considerate and helpful business this is. i would have paid anything to be able to get back on the road home quickly. Great people, great service! Couldn't thank them enough. Hence, i would highly recommend Mercer Automotive!!

The other day my tire blew out on my travel trailer on Rt78. I limped my way to nearest town and found Mercer Auto. Unfortunately I had to park 150 plus feet down the street. That didn't bother the owner. He walked back and forth with car jack,tires and tools many times. He removed blown out tire,put on my spare,took my extra tire and remounted it and put on camper. When we were finally done I was turning to walk back to pay for his services he just told me to have a nice day and safe trip without any sort of payment. I personally was speechless. That was such and awesome thing the owner did for me. If anyone needs his services I would 100% recommend his. Thank you Mercer Auto. You made my day and saved my trip.

I use Mercer Automotive frequently. Local auto shop that's easy to schedule and he does excellent work. Very honest and fair with prices.

My alternator was going bad I was on the main highway heading to North Carolina from New York City and my car was shutting off luckily I have a booster pac to jump it and I made it to the closes shop and met Mr. Doug a great mechanic I told him what happened he said it was the alternator he gave me a good deal and the job is done.

So thankful for Mercer Automotive! I needed emergency assistance during an eight hour drive and Mercer Automotive was available, welcoming, and willing to help me. The team was knowledgeable, professional, focused, and kind. They repaired my car immediately so I was able to continue my travel. Highly recommend!!

Mercer automotive went above and beyond to help my daughter who was driving from New Jersey back to Liberty University when she needed emergency road side assistance. They were very welcoming and repaired the car immediately so she could continue her long drive back to college . I cannot thank the owners enough for taking such care of my teenage daughter with not only the needed repairs but also with their reassurance and kindness to a stranger who came into their shop for help . I am so pleased with their honesty and quality of the repair in fixing the catalytic converter.

Monday 23 heard noises from car pull over praying as I merged off exit 1/4 mile Mercer Automotive was there found. Was greeted friendly offered coffee use of bathroom while we wait for car being serviced. Mechanic found problem and fixed it in 30min. Godly prices and peace of mind. Thank you everyone

My wife and I had to make an emergency stop and fortunately we found this great automotive shop. Doug really helped us out. He did an incredible job and had us on our way within half hour. One of the best auto shops I’ve ever been too. I was a few hours into my cross county drive from New York, to Virginia, and then to Nevada, my truck ran rough and died on the side of the highway at 3 in the afternoon. His wife I believe answered the phone, I explained my situation and they said they would wait till I got a tow to the shop. They stayed late, found out I blew a head gasket that night. They got it done within two days Dam some of the nicest people I’ve ever met, if I lived in PA I would always bring it here.

Very honest, professional, intelligent, and fairly priced place!! I would recommend Doug to anyone in need of auto repair help! The only mechanic I trust to work on my personal vehicles.

My tire pressure gauge went off while I was driving through a construction zone on I-78. Since I still had about 200 miles to go, i pulled off to get my tires looked at since I didn't want to blow a tire in the middle of nowhere. The guys at Mercer were amazing. They checked my tires, found a nail, patched it and sent me off in less than a half hour. I didn't have an appointment or anything, and they did this all out of the kindness of their hearts. Awesome place!

These folks are AWESOME!!! Brought my company van to them after being told it needed a ton of work by another shop. They looked at it, and found that the “list” of issues. Y the other shop was just trying to make more money off me. They fixed two little issues that needed attention and inspected the van. They will be getting ALL my vehicles work that I can’t do myself in the future. Great prices, great people and great work. Thanks folks!!! Will be seeing me again for sure!!! You ROCK!!!

100,000 mile service on my 04 Tundra is a big deal for me. It protects the value, safety, and reliability of my vehicle. Doug did a great job on the service. He kept all the old parts and accomplished a long list in only one day. I am very happy. I highly recommend Mercer Automotive.

I was traveling to visit my dad in lenhartsville. When I was on 78 my temp gauge went up to the h and my car started overheating and blowing steam out the hood. I pulled of the highway and went to Mercer auto. My dad piked me up we hung out for the day and by 5pm my car was fixed and ready to go. Great service the owner Kevin was super nice.
