Not only was the diagnosis and the problem fixed, but the customer service was on point! I moved here, a couple months ago, and I have been searching for a good mechanic and I finally found an honest and trustworthy place. Thank you!

I went in for a new headlight bulb and 77,000 mile maintenance review and found out that my car's dealership neglected to change a recommended transmission fluid at 50,000 miles. I received an estimate for oil change, with pictures of very dirty filters, a worn belt, etc. Listed beside all of the other recommended jobs was the varied labor charges. The facility and staff were all neat, clean, respectful and knowledgeable. I got a ride home to wait for the car and they would have brought me back or given me a loaner if needed. If your are thinking of breaking away from your dealership, this is the place to bring your vehicle to. Excellent work! Kate

Drove an hour to get my oil change done during this trying time, it’s hard to find great customer service and when you find it, it’s worth showing them your loyalty and business. I will always recommend Marlin’s for your Auto needs. God willing I will see you soon.
God Bless you stay healthy.Sep 19, 2025 -
All repairs were done correctly. Quality and professional operation and stayed within the quoted estimate. A great place to do business. Gas tank repair and 150-amp alternator installation.

I had a bit of a wait while my car was being inspected. The waiting/check-in area is very nice. You are taken care of as soon as you walk in and they are immaculately prepared to take care of you appointment. They suggest things that may need taken care of, in the future, as well as doing a fine job on the present issue.

My heater hose started leaking on July 3rd. Thank God it wasn't on July 4th. I did not have an appointment but I called Marlins and they said they would look at it for me. Marlin himself came out and took a look at my heater hose ordered the parts and had it fixed in about an hour. I really appreciate their service even though I did not have an appointment. They did very good work.

Marlin’s Auto Diagnostics: I am very impressed with the workmanship and service that was preformed on my truck. The shop identified issues that I was not aware of, that was in the issue of safety. I wish I would have met the mechanic that preformed the work, to give him a big thanks. Buddy is awesome, great communication. He explained everything very thoroughly. I was very impressed. After the repairs were completed, I could tell that the ride was much better and smoother, with the new suspension, and control arms. I liked that photos were taken of the problems and sent to me. This shop is very transparent.

(Update to Marlins reply at end)
Usually a great shop but the owner Marlin was very unhappy to fix an issue they caused. My caliper and brake hose were damaged during a courtesy inspection and caused my brake fluid to leak completely out the car. The brakes and calipers were previously newly installed. I asked him how he would like to make things right he offered to do the repair labor for free if I covered the parts. After repairing their mistake he was not happy with the solution He offered me and told me that I ruined the trust of the company. Bottom line, he didn't like being liable for his mistake or fixing his mistake. I do not trust a shop that can not stand behind their work or solutions to problems they cause. He asked me not to return which I don't care. I feel bad because most the guys at the shop are nice and very helpful. Buy you can not damage a car and not be held liable for returning the car the way I brought it in. They never told me they were going to take my brakes apart I didn't even bring the car in for brakes. The owner should have not offered me a deal if he didn't think it was fair. He choose his own solution and ruined a good relationship with a customer who had multiple cars with $1000s of dollars of repairs to be made which I planned on doing at the shop. His loss not mine. Never had this issue anywhere else. Make sure you are clear about what you want or what to expect when dealing with Marlin or he might try to rip you off or talk to you like your stupid.
Update reply to Marlins
And he just accused me of being aggressive which is completely false. I was very respectful and never raised my voice. I have a naturally deep voice and if you ask anyone in the shop I kept my composure the whole time. I even asked the owner what he thought would be a fair resolution to the matter. He choose to do the labor for free because he knew they made a mistake. The brakes were brand new and working. They did not leak before I brought the car to the shop. My parking spot was spotless now it's full of fluid that dropped out my brakes. Lying about my attitude and your service is wrong and shows you lack accountability. The mechanics are not the issue . It's the accountability of the owner. Before this situation I really liked the shop. I won't have a problem getting work done elsewhere. There are hundreds of shops to choose from.Mar 26, 2025 -
Our son was a long time customer and was always happy with Marlin's. His car was being worked on when he passed away unexpectedly. Marlin offered to sell both of his cars. He took care of everything during a very difficult time and Steve and I just had to sign the paperwork. We are forever grateful!

Brought my vehicle in for repair, they gave me a quote and I approved it. Day goes by and they give me a call to tell me that the vehicle is done, however, the bill was DOUBLE what they quoted me. Yeah I understand that things go wrong, but to not inform me whatsoever that the bill was going to be double what they told me is ridiculous. The part they put in did not work correctly so they took it out and redid it, during that process they absolutely could have called to inform me about the issue and check if I want to proceed since the bill will be alot more.

This was my first experience with Martin's Auto Diagnostics. They were very thorough in the inspection and care of my car. Buddy, at the customer desk, kept me well informed about the progress of my car inspection. He and others are very knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable. I will definitely continue to turn to them for any of my car care.

Marlin’s replaced my alternator and performed routine maintenance on my car. Buddy was knowledgeable and updated me on the repairs promptly. The process was transparent and they are very honest people. I also really appreciated the loaner car at no cost.

Marlin was able to get me into the shop quickly and resolved the complex issue with my car quickly. I especially appreciated Buddy giving me detailed updates on what needed done and giving me options on repairs. The documentation was fantastic, I was given a document that had photos of each potential issue and trouble spot with detailed descriptions and suggestions on when/how to take care of them. They really went the extra mile to turn what could’ve been a nightmare for me into a breeze.

I took my 2006 Toyota Tundra to Marlin's Auto Diagnostics for an oil and filter change and a problem with the TPMS light that monitors the tire air pressure. They took care of both issues and gave me a loaner car to use while the truck was being repaired. They also did a free Courtesy Check and found that my truck is due for and engine tune-up. I will schedule that soon. My truck has been running a lot better since bringing it to Marlin's. They do quality work and treat their customers with courtesy and respect.

Took my Alfa Romero to Marlin's as doing research was the most qualified to work on my toy. They took it on, gave me diagnostic and proceeded to do the repairs. They weren't cheap, but an Alfa isn't either. Runs great now. Good work and value for the money. Will probably take back when (not if) I break it again.

We were having some issue with the brakes on our car making noises. We asked Marlin’s to look into it. Replaced rotors and pads no more noises. Marlin’s stands behind their work. They are honest, friendly and helpful.
We totally recommend them for your automotive repair needs.Oct 14, 2024 -
Used Marlin's Auto Diagnostics for the first time. It was a great experience! From getting in quickly to the communication concerning the status of the repair & what was needed to make the repairs to the cost, all were great experiences. I was very happy with everything. I will definitely be using them for any repairs needed in the future. I see there are some negative reviews but I never experienced anything negative. I feel they were honest and upfront with everything. I recommend Marlin's to anyone needing any work done on their vehicle.

I went here due to all the positive reviews and people praising their honesty. I was mostly impressed based on their responsiveness and attention to detail but they are not up front about all costs and severely price gouge their customers on parts. I brought my car in for state inspection and to look at a minor oil leak I had. I received a call the morning of my appointment to advise they found the oil leak to be coming from my oil pan gasket. They also found a more severe leak coming from my pinion seal. They went over all the costs and quoted $1,000 to replace the oil pan and $500 for the pinion seal. I opted to replace the pinion seal for now as that was the worse leak and I couldn’t afford a bill that high at the time. With inspection and the pinion seal I was expecting a bill around $650-675 or so for $500 on the seal and approximately $100 for inspection plus tax. When I went to pick up the car my bill was almost $800. I thought this was odd based on what I was quoted. When I looked at the repair list I saw why. They charged $65 for two quarts of gear fluid, $47 for the pinion seal, and some random unexplained $47.70 in shop supplies. What that unexplained charge was who knows, but it’s kind of shady to throw that in when you are clearly price gouging your parts that you likely get at discount prices. That gear oil is no more than $20/qt at retail. The seal is $25. Even worse, when I looked at their recommendation for an oil change it was $200! Granted the car needs a special 5w50 synthetic oil, but it’s definitely not over $20/qt! You can get it at autozone for half that price. I understand shops need to make a profit but don’t mark your parts up by 100% or more and not include all extra fees and details in the estimate. I understand they need to make a profit but marking parts up that much to make up for quoted labor is dishonest to me.
Pros - I can tell you they didn’t recommend any unnecessary repairs, they were friendly and got me booked quickly. They were also very thorough in explaining recommendations, taking pictures to show details etc.
Cons- They don’t mention extra charges and price gouge you on parts and supplies. It’s a shame because they were great on all other levels. Unfortunately they take advantage of people that are not knowledgeable about the cost of these items.Jul 03, 2024 -
Always a great experience. They take very good care of our vehicles, are extremely honest, keep us informed, and care about our safety. We highly recommend this business to our friends and neighbors.
