I think the location is good. The place isn't very busy most of the time you can get in and out of there pretty fast the place to drop off your shredder metal, just back in and unload it. Get back on the scale get paid and get out of there. the woman in the office is very friendly always nice. I don't recall her name. I'm sorry, but always friendly and courteous. I'll leave another review once I know the staff's name. I've been there at least 10 times and it's always a positive experience.
This is my go to scrapyard in Pittsburgh! Their prices are on par with others in the area. The yard is kept tidy so that you are unlikely to run over anything that will pop your tires. Big shout out to Scott. He is friendly, knowledgeable, and quite helpful. Always a pleasure to see him and have a nice chat!
completely unprofessional and lazy......2nd day in a row i load up over half a ton of bare brightand try to take it down to these guys.....first day a guy tells me they had a sale roday and they ran out of money......fine....so the next day i CALL DOWN THERE FIRST to confirm that theyd be able to service me today.....guy says on the phone that he has a docs appt, but you can come and we will give a check.....load all the copper up again and get down there only to be told, "we're only taking shred metal today". complete waste of time and energy for the 2nd day in a row.....TAKE YOUR STUFF ELSEWHERE, these guys are a complete JOKE!!!!!
Had my first scrapping experience this morning. I purchased an old building in Carnegie and had some mixed alloy and shred material. The people at the Scrap Yard could not have been nicer; they made the process very easy. I thought the prices they offered were very fair. If I have more material, I will definitely be back.
This is a great place and the prices are very fair! I wouldn’t say they are the highest around but close I’m sure! Not a huge fan of the location but the yard is very clean. Definitely won’t get a flat tire in this yard. Only thing I really don’t like about this place is they nit picking. Your copper pipe could have the Littlest speck of paint on it and they will consider it #2. I just think that’s extremely petty!! Everything else is fine tho!
Always a pleasure doing business here...In with metal and Out with cash. Wouldn't take my scrap anywhere else even if it were right next door to me. Extremely friendly service everytime. I recommend this business to anyone looking for a recycling scrap yard and or landscape supplies.
Owner was AMAZING! Friendly, personable, and fair. The yard is the cleanest we have ever seen... No need to worry about a flat tire around here! Also, opens early and closes late. If you need something they lend a hand.
