Absolutely professional and friendly service. Liz came in less that five minutes from when I called (fortunately she was close), assesed the situation, and we figured out a best solution. She was kind and efficient. I was visiting the area so hope I don't need her services again anytime soon, but give the highest recommendation possible.
They were quick to show up, but the driver didn't seem to know what he was doing. Tried to use one of his threaded tow eyes, they didn't fit my car. So then he tried to use the J-hook under the car, got it 3 feet on the roll back and the hook came off and car rolled back?? Not safe. While strapping down the car, he damaged the wheel which he saw and noted on the invoice. I paid the tow bill and figured I would follow up with the office, which I did. Liz was nice at first, but then didn't answer or return any of my calls. Thr body shop provided an estimate to repair the 1 damaged wheel which I sent to Liz, but crickets from them. After the car was fixed, I went to them directly to talk face to face since they screen calls and don't return messages. The owner Kevin Brown is unprofessional and sarcastic to say the least. I would not recommend them and will never use them again.
Great gal, friendly and helpful. I thought I punctured my oil pan driving over something. When she got here and lifted the car she took a quick peaked to confirm my suspicions and informed me i was wrong. That when I got my oil changed the plug fell out. She helped me get to the dealership and basically help rectify the situation with no out of pocket cost to me (since they installed the part wrong).
Definitely reccomend when you have a headache of a situation she will do her best to put you at ease
Was gonna rate 4 or 5 until I realized a lot of my property was missing from my car after they towed it, the car was picked up two days after tge accident.
Liz was phenomenal!!! Such a great rate for towing and she did everything correctly and was very professional!! Will definitely be returning for any other services needed in the future! Such a great business!
2 nights before my daughter's wedding my dodge caravan thought it would create a challenge to me by having its transmission fail while we were 600 miles away from home. AAA sent us a tow truck from excalibur. The driver who came to tow us was very nice and towed the car into Gettysburg.
We called the next morning and, after being told that the transmission had failed, we went in to talk to the mechanic. He told me that he would replace the transmission (parts and labor) for about $4500. We said OK. Two or 3 hours later he called me to tell me that the transmission was really expensive and that it would cost S6700. I did not like the change (paying for the wedding was expensive) and thought that I might be being played, but it was a very busy time and I was unaware of what other options I had so I agreed to the higher figure.
We had already rented a car and were told it would be 2 weeks before we could get the car. Two weeks later we drove up from South Carolina to retrieve the car. The nice lady who had towed us was at the desk, filled out the paperwork and we were on our way. We are now at home. I called the local dodge dealer parts department. and asked how much that it would cost to replace a transmission on a caravan. I was quoted a price of 4577 parts and labor. They said the part was $4175. I was charged $4698 for the part. They told me that the labor and incidentals would be $1412. Excalibur cost $2000. I think the difference between what Dodge would have done it for and what Excalibur took from me is substantial enough that I felt I should write this review. Unless the labor was pretty darned extensive, I feel like I was charged too much.
My wife and I try to think the best of people, and hope that others will treat us the way we treat them. Unfortunately, I feel like the Excalibur mechanic saw an opportunity, took me for an uninformed patsy and took advantage of my wife and I. It will take another couple of months before we feel like we have recovered financially from this. If you get towed to Excalibur in Gettysburg, I strongly recommend that you get towed somewhere else the next day to have the repairs done. Thanks for reading this until the end. I just got in to Gettysburg and was so hungry stop for food and forgot my keys in my car. They saved my life, on vacation, no let's get that straight retirement. Lol and lock my keys in the car. That's a real beginning to a great conversation about the campfire. I'm sure it'll get plenty of laughs. But they are the best.
So there are no tire shops open on Sat. In Gettysburg! Excalibur was our saving grace towing us back to York. I would call them again. The lady that answered the phone was polite and up front and clear with their fees. The driver was Roy and he was so very helpful, kind, and polite as well.

Our car would not start this morning. After contacting AAA, Excalibur was quick to respond and diagnose our battery issue. Liz was very professional and extremely knowledgeable! Thank you for everything!
While on the battle ground tour, we accidently locked our keys in the car with no extra set to be found except for 3 hours away. They were very easy to contact and they quickly found us out by Spangler's Spring. The employee that assisted us was very professional and knowledgeable. He quickly and profitently opened the car and helped us get back on track. Great place with great employees!
My husband used this service through AAA. Adam from Excalibur responded in a very timely manner, giving his ETA, and arrived within that time frame. Once there, charging the battery didn’t work. Instead of towing, he took the time to investigate the problem and was able to fix it. He was very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. My husband was very pleased and would highly recommend Adam from Excalibur.
