SONYA S Tried to pay me for steel 28 00 when it was pure aluminum then when I brought it to Sonya S attention tried to pay me for cast aluminum 177.00 difference and stated she had no way of telling difference I stated is there anyone that could she replied heres your 60.00 dollar difference the next time I went back for better experience had the guy that's sort metal yelling not again not again the only thing I can say good about that operation is Terry the Forklift driver is one of the most professional and friendly guy you could ever meet The first time I ever went Sonya S was not working great experience if you go there when she is working beware Sonya S might try to rip you off and don't trust the scrap shorter just wanted to paid for what I deserved really a scrap yard can't tell the difference between steel and aluminum and cast aluminum all you need is magnet thank God that bin was empty before I got out make sure you check your receipt before leaving
I had a gentleman helping me the minute I got out of my truck. I had a trailer load of various metal and batteries, even old cordless tool batteries. He and the other workers took care of me in a very timely manner.
Also, the lot is clean and well maintained.

Never going back, gave me tin price for dity alum, than gave me copper #2 for bare bright wire (said had rust on it, i own a processing machine and came from fresh insulated wire and was pure clean, 100%,. this business is full of criminals) never going back to this scam artist scrapyard again
I got there about 45 mins. or so before they closed.
I had to look around for someone to help me. No one around!
The two men that did help me where helpful. Their job was to bring it into the companies garage.
They do not price the scrap metal or help with metal ID.
Watch the scale person, and the pay master!
Check your receipt and question what they say you have!
Weigh your material, at home.
Use a scale.
Know your metal weight and kind of metal scrap! Brass, copper, what grade, aluminum, what kind, wire, what grade.
They like to say, Low grade!!
Know the differences!
They couldn't tell the difference between aluminum and stainless steel.
Or in some cases, plain steel!
I bought in six full and one half bags of aluminum cans and several other metal items.
They make you dump your cans into a metal box.
This is a newer process than the last time there.
They used to weigh the bags separately.
What I believe they do they have weighed this box heavier in their favor and most people don't know they are being cheated.

Anyway they say I brought in Two
lbs.of aluminum cans. No way. I was cheated. Also they round up their receipts. Any change due you, they keep. That is a real dishonest business practice. Cheating Senior Citizens, I will not return!! Without Customers selling to you, you will go out of business !

Never going back again. I was told to go down park in front of a door which I did I walked inside to be rudely approached by a man named art. He yelled at me to move my truck from the doorway saying people are trying to work and your here screwing it all up. I was told by someone else to park there and he freaked out about it when I simply asked where do I go to turn in scrap. The lady and in the office was really polite and apologized for his behavior. Shouldn't have such aggressive people working for a company that deals with people. Talking to someone like that won't turn out good for you in the wrong place and time. Long story shirt stay far away extremely mean people and will yell at you for simply following instructions . I'd rather go somewhere else for less money then ever go back !! Never ever will I go back or tell anyone to go there !! Horrible people or at least a man named art. Such a miserable person..
You got to watch them cause they'll rip you off. Took in 3 55 gallon drums of copper. Each drum was the same but one weigh 70lbs, another weigh 103lbs and the the last was 166lbs empty but anyone could pick them up easy. Also turned in 3 buckets of bare bright which they only gave me #1 copper and think they only weighed one bucket. So if you go there, make sure you watch them closely
Very low prices, and never want to be OPEN. I hear the employees complain more about working then they do actually working… work the full hours before asking small town folk for hand outs
I would not waste my time with this place. They cant keep their open hours straight. They SAY they are open until 4:00. I arrived at 3:47 on May 5th and their gate was closed. They wasted my time and my gas. If you want to be closed at 3:47 advertise as such.
Easy, even for someone with just a small amount of metal. I got $6.00 for stuff I would have had to pay to dump. A smoker with a rusted out bottom and a piece of an old tree stand.
All ways pay good money for higher end metals like copper and brass as compared to other scrapyards in the area. Fairly well kept and organized for a scrap yard.
Been hauling to swopes since i was a kid. They treat you like a friend. I will not haul scrap anywhere else. I do everything i can to support small family local business.
