Bernabe towing was fantastic!! I called and spoke with Malu and within an hour I had my car towed. It was a super fast process! Malu was very professional on the phone and made sure the process ran smoothly. The person who towed my car was very nice too and I had no issues! Thank you Bernabe towing for all your help! Will definitely be using their towing services again!

Our car needed to be towed due to a mechanical issue. Our insurance sent Barnabe Towing. The tow truck driver was prompt, and polite and treated us with respect. We were in a back parking lot and he found us easily. I seen a lot of negative reviews on here but nonetheless, I still would definitely recommend this company. These guys are hard workers in dangerous environments and deserve 5 stars.

here is my experience with this predatory towing company, and my one request to them - update your hours!
they claim to be a “24 hour” towing service, yet after they tow your car, there is nobody at the sketchy, small lot indicated here in google maps. then they have the audacity to charge a late fee. so silly of them!
as a business they are extremely unprofessional and predatory. i hope they expect to see another complaint to the Better Business Bureau.
(im sure they will reply unprofessionally to this honest review. if that is done before their hours of operation are updated in google or their own website, I will not be surprised but disappointed again with Bernabe Towing and Recovery).Dec 19, 2025 -

On Oct 24, I called to schedule a tow for Oct 27 at 8AM to go 45 miles to my mechanic. The driver shows up at 8AM and begins to load my car. When loading the car onto the bed, he didn't use ramps and ended up letting my car roll into the angled bed of the tow truck, cracking the bottom of my bumper and pulling it off. The tow driver pushed my car backwards and pushed the bumper back on and proceeded to load the car using ramps, this time. I took pictures of the damage and made Bernabe aware of the damage and told them I'd let them know if there was any major damage. At 9:21AM the same day I get a call from the driver telling me that the job has been cancelled and he is at my house to drop off the keys. I asked him why the job was cancelled and that I needed my car to be dropped off at the mechanic in Salem. He told me he had no idea and that I need to call Bernabe dispatch. When asking dispatch why my car was being returned an hour and a half after picking it up, she stated "Oh he didn't tell you? The driver went to fix your bumper and now he doesn't have time to deliver your car". I didn't authorize their tow truck driver to attempt top fix my bumper, nor did I authorize a change in destination for my tow. Dispatch was very adamant in the job being cancelled and that I was "already refunded". Fine., but I was in class until 5PM that evening, so I told them that I wasn't available to receive the car until then. Dispatch asked if they could bring the keys to me, I told them no, I am unavailable. Dispatch then told me they were going to put the keys to my car under my doormat. I told them absolutely no, they took the job and took possession of my car, so whatever happens to my car from now until I personally receive the keys is their responsibility. The dispatch lady said "Are you threatening me to have your car stolen or vandalized?!" No, lady.... I'm saying I can't personally secure my car until I have the keys and putting them under my doormat is unacceptable. She ended up continuing to argue and resulting in her telling me that she will have someone deliver the keys to me at 5PM. At 12:50PM on my 15 minute break, I called requesting to speak to a manager or owner to discuss the service I received and address the damage done to my car, they did not pick up my call. I did get a text though, with them telling me that owners do not speak to customers and the manager was already out for the rest of the day and wouldn't be available until 9:30AM the following day. Great, I asked for the person's name who was texting me, which is Samantha Ventura. On Oct 29 I called periodically throughout the day with no answers. Eventually, I was forwarded to a tow truck driver on the road, who provided me with an e-mail address to send an e-mail to, and the manager, who he identified as Samantha Ventura, would respond. Interesting... I thought Samantha Ventura told me that no managers were present to speak with me on Oct 27th... At this point, I have sent an e-mail to the address provided and have waited 7 business days with no responses. At this point, the issues with the service are serious. The driver's negligence when loading my car onto the bed cause visible damage to my car, the unauthorized attempt to fix my bumper WITH ZIP TIES is inappropriate and unprofessional. Additionally, the contracted service wasn't completed because the tow driver spent all the time zip tying my bumper back on? My mechanic didn't get the car delivered to him, an appointment I booked 4 days in advanced. The communication from dispatch is accusatory, gaslighting, dismissive, and predatorily, with repeated failures to escalate my concerns or return any correspondences.

We have good Sam they were called to be at our towing two hours later. They’re still not here.. they never called or reached out. We had dog in car too. We reached out to pay 180.00 and will be here in 30min.

Very helpful service! If you ever need a jump start or help with your car, definitely give these guys a call. I had a dead battery in Tigard and they showed up in less than 5 minutes and had my car running immediately. 100% recommend

As stated by other people, this company uses predatory practices. They park cars registered to the business overnight in poorly-signed lots to encourage people to park there so they can tow their cars. We parked in one of these places for about 15 minutes to pick up a friend next to a very busy bar and when we came back out the car was already gone. As if someone had been waiting and watching. We then had to drive across town in the middle of the night to retrieve the car at some sketchy junkyard and pay almost $400 to an ill tempered guy who barely spoke any English and acted like WE were the ones inconveniencing him. When we finally got the car back after being fleeced we discovered the e-brake no longer works and was presumably broken when they tried to tow the car. We're gonna find out on Monday when the car gets into the shop. Horrible employees, horrible practices, horrible company. Take your business to Speed's or All Day Towing and avoid these guys like the plague.

I wish I could give 0 stars. In my experience, Bernabe towed my car under what I believe were unjust and predatory practices. I parked at 8 PM with many other cars, and by 10 PM it was gone, even though their sign only said “No Overnight Parking,” which didn’t apply. After 10+ unanswered calls, they finally picked up, hung up on me when I asked why, and later demanded $407 in exact cash only, refusing debit/credit cards (which, to my understanding, goes against OR and Tigard code). They also charged me a dolly fee which I am fairly certain wasn't used, didn't show a business license when asked, and were unhelpful throughout. In my opinion, this company operates in bad faith and is sketchy to say the least.

RIP OFF charge $990 for tow less than 15 miles and store damaged truck from accident for less than 48 hours.
TERRIBLE Customer service, Marie yelled at my 88 year old father and mother when we went to pick up totaled truck to remove from lot and hung up on us. Had to push damaged vehicle to put on car ramp. Refused to help us. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!Aug 17, 2025 -

Very very rude people I called to get a quote and because I didn’t pay rite then and there they blocked my number. Called back from another number and they said they don’t do business with people that wait what terrible communication skills they have!

This company backed into our vehicle in a parking lot. They didn’t want the police called and said they would handle everything out of pocket and to invoice them for the repair costs. This happened in April of 2024. It has been over a year and this issue has not been resolved because they continue to give us the run around and have blocked our calls. The police have called them, my attorney has reached out to them and I have also reached out multiple times with zero response to this issue. I am having to sue them for these costs due to them not paying anything. Absolutely outrageous that any company would do business this way. They never gave us any insurance information and so here we are. The guy who hit us was caught on video camera. His name is Barnabe Lopez who hit our truck. Not only that there is an eye witness seeing him hit the car and we have a photo of his drivers license. This happened in front of a body shop. This business needs to be shut down because they are a complete risk. I will also be reporting them to the BBB. Not only that but will be taking them to court for all costs incurred in this process.
Response: The first estimate was a rough estimate given based on photos and then when we had the shop do a true evaluation is when an updated estimate was submitted. What free money when all costs are going towards repairs. I didn’t ever ask for cash only. Please hand over the claim number if your so called insurance has an active claim. You guys didn’t even give us insurance information because you said you would handle it out of pocket to avoid insurance claims. Again the insurance company has never contacted us and neither have you and you have tried to block and avoid us at all costs. As mentioned above you have my attorneys contact and you haven’t responded and the police has contacted you and you didn’t give them any information and myself and multiple people from management at the shop have called you without any sort of response. Just a runaround and then we are blocked. Your lies are outrageous. I am looking forward to the proof of your so called responses and claims you are claiming. Your driver came to the shop and when asked for the info he basically ran away. The way you guys handle these things seems like you have a track record for it based on some of your other reviews. Highly, highly recommend utilizing their services. They provided exceptional service and provided very helpful information for us as well as accommodations needed. Our car broke down and they were very prompt and time efficient and very communicative when we needed to get our car towed and impounded. Maria was very sweet with providing details and guidance and was a very kind individual to work with and was very understanding and empathetic toward our situation. Our tow truck driver got the car out in less than 10 minutes and was also very kind. Thank you Bernabe Towing!!

I reached out to them around 9 pm for last minute services and they were able to give me a quote and tow all within a short period of time. I had called 5 other places with wild rates. This team is affordable and top notch in my experience.

We called our insurance company and the Roadside Assistance company (Agero) that hired Bernabe to report the damage minutes after it happened. (Bernabe tried to talk my husband into letting them tow it from our regular service center where it was and wanted to handle it without insurance. He declined. ) That was the only time my husband has spoken to anyone at Bernabe.
It took over 2 weeks for Bernabe’s insurance company, Progressive to contact us. Progressive told us that they were having trouble verifying insurance coverage for Bernabe and that particular vehicle. That is the only reason I called Bernabe directly and where the rest of the review picks up.
Weeks later we are being told the same thing from Progressive—can’t verify insurance coverage!
We have filed a complaint with the Oregon State Insurance Commission to help us get answers.
Google reviews are meant to be helpful. Sounds like from reading other reviews, this has happened before to other people. Hoping this doesn’t happen to someone else. 5 weeks in, no car, and no answers.
DO NOT USE THEM! We assumed that because roadside assistance was provided through USAA and Agero that they were reputable. This is what they did to our vehicle and are now saying that the insurance will take 6-12 months to resolve and that the only way they will pay for it is if we let them tow it to “their” garage or we can sue them. We have been without a vehicle for nearly a month and no rental car provided. By law we are supposed to be provided a rental car and allowed to take it to the shop of our choosing.Dec 24, 2024 -
I called to get a price and I was told 120 I asked what exactly I'm paying for and the agent got rude then hangup I was just trying to educate myself and make sure I'm getting my money worth. I will never do business either these people they are rude when you ask questions or challenge them.. my reply below to their response.
While I appreciate you listening to the call, your agent's response did not reflect the level of customer service I expect. I was simply trying to understand what I was paying for, not challenge your pricing. Being told 'you don't question our price or you just look for another company' after asking a question is not acceptable. Do not use them. They are uninsured! Their tow person rear ended my husband May 29, 2024. My husband was trying to be nice and allow him to pay out-of-pocket, but all he got was the runaround. Completely disrespectful and unprofessional. Here we are June 28th, and still nothing. Now we are forced to cover it and due to their lack of concern we will be filing a claim against the company.
