Caution when bringing in recycling! The price changes from day to day. Same load was $20 the last 2 times only days ago and now they want $30. Same quantity of leaves, their excuse is there’s no air in the leaves.
If you get the 3 part or something with a lot of sand be aware you will get about 1/4 of what you think you’re getting. We’ve had the 4 and 5 part loads but we picked them up in our truck. When we got the 2 yards of the 3 part delivered we all just looked at each other. The guy didn’t seem surprised that I asked all the questions. He said it was the right amount. I called They looked at the video and said there were two full scoops so that means the sand was fluffy and then compacted down to nothing. A little shake of the scoop to settle and top off would have been nice. I was chastised for ordering 2 yards but when it came it was only enough to add an inch or two to the raised garden beds instead of topping them off. We were going to rent a scoop based on our previous several years of work. Glad we didn’t. All it took was a few trips with the wheelbarrow. Total waste of money.
I've been incredibly impressed with Allwood Recyclers at so many levels. From dropping off yard debris to procuring compost deliveries, they make everything easy and affordable. Plus, their staff is super nice and helpful. I'm a very happy repeat customer.
WOW, we are so grateful to have found Allwood for our yard materials! We just had 10 yards of beautiful 3 way delivered, it is gorgeous!!! This is our 3rd delivery with them, compost and dirt, we couldn't be more pleased with the quality, service and professional assistance.
My family loves coming here. It’s always really easy coming in and dumping. The prices are fair and affordable! The 5 way soil blend has sprouted every thing we planted in it too. Love Allwood!
Rachel and McKayla and the rest of the wonderful crew always do such a great job of getting me in and out. Always insuring the load is clean and ready. I use all wood over anybody else even when I do jobs in scappoose I’ll drive across town just to dump here. 10/10 recommend to everyone and anyone in need of landscaping supplies or natural recycling needs.
Absolutely love Allwood Recyclers. Great quality and large product selection. Delivery guy is super nice and always on time. Also a great spot for disposal of yard waste, concrete, and wood… all by volume and not weight. So much cheaper than the dump.
Honestly thank the LORD! We found this spot. Everything we needed for our garden. Their 5&1 soil mix is amazing and much more cost effective then ANYWHERE else.
Not only that. The customer service is top notch. Every individual i spoke with was not only helpful but also knowledgeable and really helped me figure out what I needed.
On the day of delivery, they called 30 minutes in advance. Arrived on time and dropped off 8yards in one quick drop! Pure professionalism!

I normally am not the type to complain but after today’s experience on 3/29/2025 at 3:30pm I need to leave my 2 cents. I ordered 2 cubic yards of mixed soil and pulled up to bay 3 waiting for the loader. He was busy with another customer and exchanged some words with that individual after he finished loading. He looked irritated afterwards whilst shaking his head and then pulled up to my vehicle to see what I needed. He had me pull up closer and quickly scooped up a cubic yard and started to drive over to dump it into my trailer. I quickly stopped him and asked if he could let me put my tarp down which he responded by yelling at me to hurry up because he had 5 customers waiting and that I should know to have my tarp ready beforehand. It took me a total of 20 seconds to lay the tarp down and he proceeded to load my trailer. I don’t care if he was irritated with the customer before or was busy with 5 other upcoming customers - you don’t yell at one and lecture them what they need to do next time. That is unprofessional. I wasn’t rude to him, why was he being rude to me? Anyways, I’d like to keep coming to this location in the future since it’s conveniently located, but that kind of behavior needs to stop and a level of professionalism needs to be upheld.
Got there 15 minutes before closing to dump a load that would take 5 minutes. Was told nope and handed a leaflet with a buncha non-yard debris service. Not sure how that helps? Us there were people therw unloading that were gonna be a while. Went to Wood waste management instead. They stay open until the advertised time.
I will never order from them again. They delivered the wrong product and then blamed it on their supplier. I ordered the Dark Medium Hemlock which is black and they delivered the Bright medium hemlock which is brown. They did not give me a heads up about the color difference prior to the order and now told me too bad they can’t do anything about it. First picture is what i ordered and is the picture from their website, second picture is what I got. Clearly not the same product.
Very impressed with the facility and variety of products.
Had a young lady call me “stupid”to position my pickup closer to the rock I was purchasing I was loading up. Made me move back away from the bins and did not offer any assistance to move the heavy rock . I hope others haven’t experienced this type of behavior. I will probably use this Vendor again just because the variety they keep in stock
Really nice customer service. I know this people,about 5 years and they always do the best job, if they can't provide service on something, they will always recommend some other good places to go to. Thank you so much, I really appreciate these people. Being this way will help our country to become a better place.Wish more people would be like they are.
Their website claims not to worry about cutting down branches into smaller pieces because they never charge “air space” on yard waste loads. I come in with a small 4x6 trailer of tree branches (non/compacted) and they charged me $77. I dumped the same load on Saturday to their competitor down the street (who charges by weight) and they charged me the minimum $35 charge. Their bark dust is great but not worth recycling yard waste there.
I’ve been coming to Allwood way back when they were across the street (before they moved). Fast service and reasonable prices. I even bought river-rock for a landscaping project. They’re pretty straight forward in terms of what they take and don’t. Highly recommended if you live in the area.
We are a tree service and dump all of our wood here. They charge much less for dumping big wood than their local competitors. The ladies that ring you up and work in the office are super nice. All in all this place is the best place to dump in the Portland metro.
Allwood Recyclers helped us add cedar wood chips to our new playground at our church (Smith Memorial Presbyterian in Fairview). The installation of this playground was a true community effort and it is open to all children in the community. Allwood was extremely helpful throughout the whole process. The management and staff are top notch. They truly care about making this community a better place to live.
Easy to find, and convenient for me to get to. Friendly staff and easy transaction! I don't have a lot of experience taking yard debris to the dump, but this was very affordable for a trailer full of debris, and easy to unload. I will be back!
The new location is great, the lines move fast.The new system of drop off area, and load area are so much bigger makes it easy with a trailer.It also makesManeuvering easier to get out of their lot, and drop off doesn’t interfere with the loading tractors. at busy times, they have multiple people taking your orders, as if they are fast food. Great job guys! I previously went to go to your competition, Not anymore, hands down it’s so much easier using you.
A little confusing since the signs/instructions are limited when you first arrive, but staff was friendly and helpful. Fair pricing (based on what I was dropping off) and lots of room to maneuver your vehicle. Overall great place to properly dispose of your wood waste!

Stopped in for grey wall stone. Excellent help by Taylor. She was a great help and got us in and out really great. Great place to get your yard landscaping rocks and soils.
My husband and I drive from Washougal to use Allwood because of the service. The prices/selections are great, we are always treated with respect, and the service is always quick. I have specifically dealt with Heather, Mark, and Michael and cannot believe some of the reviews posted today that say Heather was rude and unprofessional.
We had a uhaul utility trailer heaping with yard clippings and stumps. Tree branches etc. It was the easiest drop I had. They were very friendly and completely helpful. No mistaking the direction. Definitely will use this location again.
