Helpful and flexible with prices on certain things. They probably would have had the parts I needed if I would have given them the correct year of the vehicle

I bought a used transmission from this company. They told me it would be in town within 2 days. I called them 9 days later. The employee was very rude with me and then hung up in my face so I canceled the order. Got my money back and I will never do business with this company again. I do not recommend doing business with them

I had multiple parts that I needed, with the website being pretty outdated, they told me to just come in and they would walk the yard with me and help pick out anything I need. And they did just that! Some of the parts were already picked off and I could leave instantly with them, and some were needing picked by their employees. But overall great customer service and part selection. I think the prices are a bit high for a junkyard, but then again my vehicle is pretty new so it is hard to say for certain.
So far so good g&r gets the job done brad is my go to guy if you want someone to care about your position and get you the right part talk to him but all the guys there are helpful and ready for you.
This is like the 3rd time I have found exactly the hard to find part I was looking for, it is so easy to go online with the used parts website, type in the info on your vehicle & the part you need, you will usually see photos of all the available parts, price & which location... Today I needed a hard to find 18" wheel for my Impala, incident happened at coast, no luck there, called several places in Douglas County, no luck.. Called paid over phone drove to yard & picked it up!! Great Service!!
Good selection of parts but when I ordered it they told me it would take a couple days before I could pick it up. If you’re looking for something right now then this isn’t the place.
I called for a part and they told me to wait, no problem with that, i waited for the so called "ILL GIVE YOU A CALL BACK TO SEE IF WE HAVE THE PART" well i waited 2hrs and nothing so i called a different junk yard where they had the part and they actually called me back in less than 5mins to let me know they had the part. Never again i will waste my time on a business that leaves you waiting
It was a good visit.I got the right part. But had to pay dam near retail for it. Then i had to paint the part to match so by the time it was said and done it cost me over if I'd gone new but id go back in a hot minute.
Mike and his team at G & R gave me excellent service from start to finish. I needed a 5.3 LS complete for a swap. Mike showed me a Tahoe that was running that had been set on its side. After hearing it run and making a deal. They meticulously pulled everything from i needed from donor vehicle. Mike called to confirm he had everything i needed. When i came to pick everything up it was nicely banded to a pallet ready to go. Fluids were drained, cleaned and plugged off. I couldn't have pulled it better myself. Thanks guys! You saved me a lot of work.

This place was awesome. We purchased an engine and did everything over the phone prior to our arrival. When we arrived they had the engine on a pallet and were all ready to load it into our truck. 6 month warranty was great too.
Furious. I am due to have a baby any day now and I called this place days ago asking for rear seats for my Chevy s10, they said they have them and I could come pick them up and that they would be ready for me. I live two towns over so when I called again today to make sure I could come pay for them and pick them up I was furious when they told me I had to come pay for them and then I could come
Back and get them in 2 days!!! I’m about to have a baby!! I might not have 2 days and they already told me the seats would be ready for me!! Now I don’t have a vehicle to carry my newborn in because I can’t just go get the seats and pay for them the same day! I was lied too and I’m furious!! NOW WHAT DO I DO!?!?
Leon says he will look for a part which is very important for your business but he never does, promises to look and call or tells you to call back at a certain time and always same thing never follows through. I cannot drive the 8 miles and look myself because I cannot leave my business and he knows that. One time I ordered a specific rear end for an Expedition and even after exact definition the wrong one was sent. The one that finally came looked like it was drug through the mud so hard all the backing plates had been been and had to come off my core. The result was more time paid to the mechanic. It never gets better.
My experiences with G&R independence are always exceptional! I have had many orders that are perfectly executed. When any differences have occurred the guys there always make it right, which is why I love dealing with G&R. What motivated this review is the purchase of my 5.3L conversion package, where the guys made sure I got everything I needed and that I was completely satisfied before considering our transaction complete.
I am very disappointed in the customer service at G & R.. You guys sold us the wrong year non compatible engine for our 2005 4Runner.. I can't believe that your not willing to step up and help out with labor and/or express shipping on engine coming all the way from New Mexico..Unfortunately business practices like this has been the the downfall of NO CUSTOMER SERVICE LEFT IN AMERICA!! It will take 18 hours labor to swap out engine and 4runner is down for an additional 10days waiting for engine and install time...Thankfully I can share my crappy experience on a forum such as FB and Many other places!!
