Yard is organized. The loader operator is always amazing. He is careful, and efficient getting our trailer unloaded quickly. They close at 415 and are extremely vested in getting everyone out so be mindful if you have a complicated load that might take time to unload. Overall, great. And we love metal recycling day.
Closes scrap yard to me but they rip you off. Took in a whole riding lawn mower around 380pounds. Walked aways with $17. They will rip you off time and time again. The lady’s there know what they are doing and try to make you sign the paper before telling you how much you’re getting. I’ve always hated this place but I don’t wanna drive more than a mile when ever I gotta just get rid of some metal. Maybe one day they’ll actually be honest people and pay fair.
Dont go ovethere they still your moneyi was bring to them big semi radiator and little pice of aluminum.they count me 15c per pound bacause that one pound piace was with paint
Very unprofessional slow and they never answer their phones sometimes it will show open you drive all the way there and only to find out they closed with no notice. Very slow place very lazy employees and Rs Davis is a hit or miss if you get a good employee they pay fair but most of the time they'll ignorantly rip you off and pay you for something much cheaper then what you bring and pretend like it was an accident time after time and won't even apologize for it. I can only imagine how many honest people get ripped off by them every day without catching the screw ups
What they pay is neither "fair" nor "decent," two words used in these reviews. The boys were nice, friendly, and helpful, but I drove away feeling royally taken advantage of. I'm Dawn.
This was my first time dropping off stuff. The woman in the office was friendly and explained the process to me, which was pretty straightforward. Will be back if I have additional things to recycle.
This place is a great place to take in your metal to recycle they are fair on the amount. the girls in the office are great and always treat me with a smile, the yard guy that works the crane is great and knows what he is doing. unloaded me a couple times amazing to watch how good he is.
Came up as a result of a search for 'appliance salvage' since I'm looking to replace the broken glass on my oven door, hoping to find an inexpensive used one. Called and was told by the woman who answered the phone they don't sell anything out of their yard, they only recycle. I said' that IS recycling'. She said they only buy, they don't sell anything. Confused, I asked how they make any money. She then got really rude, raised her voice and said they sell across the country but not to the public and rudely hung up. Terrible attitude. Not sure if it's company wide or her response to having a bad day, but it was uncalled for and bad for business...even if they're not in that business. I encourage ownership/management to address customer courtesy on the phone.
I took in my old garage doors figuring I was just going to give it to them. They actually paid me for it! Excellent customer service and friendly people. Going back this week to recycle some brass when they are open.
This place is awful. I went into the office and the young lady inside was playing on her phone and ignored me for quite a few minutes. The yard is a mess, you can't even get around. I got a nail in my tire which really pissed me off. My husband and I have been going here for years and it's just gone downhill. There used to be a guy on the crane who was amazing, he was always willing to help, and was so nice but he's no longer there. Nobody cares there anymore. I will no longer bring my stuff there, I will go to metro metals they are friendly and prices are better. Who ever owns this place get it together before one of your customers or employees gets injured.
This place is a good place to take in your metal or any thing to recycle they are fair on the amount they give you and they will even help you unload if needed
I received a fair price for my junker with no hassles. Even though I was stressed out over my vehicle leaving me stranded they were able to get to it in a timely manor so I could at least recover the salvage price. I was happy because they did what they said they would do and paid me fast! They made a bad experience more tolerable. Thanks guys!
I was able to take my non-working electric mower to them for recycling. I liked knowing it would not be taking up space in a landfill.
A bit more friendly service would have been nice. They talked to me like I knew what to do and how things worked when I had no idea so it was uncomfortable and I had to go back through the scale more than once when simply telling me to wait until I saw the green light would have made that unnecessary.
But overall a good experience.
