Car went here for a few days while insurance was figuring out damage.. The workers at Copart not only stole personal belongings from my car but also proceeded take 100's of dollars worth of electronics that were in my cab and tossed them into my truck bed unprotected. It rained, the car towed and now all my stuff is soaked, ruined or missing. Insurance says follow up with them directly, they say follow up with insurance. Instead, i will be following up with the local police.

Do not use this company they are shady. They bought my car in April and sold it two days ago and gave the new owner my personal information They gave them A copy of my title and address . The new owner come to my home, went to my neighbors and called my work. I am going to the authorities. I have been completely violated. This is bad business. Not okay. I have called the dmv as well I will not stop till this is resolved.

I recently purchased a truck from this place , and while the overall process was smooth, I was disappointed upon delivery. The listing stated that the truck would come with a tool kit and ladders, but both items were missing when the vehicle arrived. I’ve reached out to resolve the issue but they didn't help ?..

Having to stand outside with my daughter in 40 degree weather….. By far the worst place to buy from Just spent $5,000 on a vehicle that runs and drives that’s NOT WRECKED to be told you cannot have the vehicle if you don’t have a trailer it tow company waiting Spent $80 on a uber and told this is a rule for many years I’m a licensed dealer buying from multiple locations with never having this kind of problem NOTHING ON THEIR SITE ABOUT THIS NEW RULE!

A person named Monica that works here is absolutely useless. Whenever you call this place she’s always busy doing nothing Typical quotes from people that want to waste someone’s time : “we are busy, maybe we will do it this week”

I bought a vehicle I already paid for it. And then they randomly canceled my payment and were demanding over 3 grand more if I wanted the car. Going against there policy.

Copart employees are engaging in fraudulent activities by tampering with vehicle mileage and the operational status of cars listed on their website. I was personally approached by several employees who offered to manipulate a vehicle’s status from “runs and drives” to “no start or no drive,” or even alter the mileage details for a reduced price. Exercise caution when dealing with this specific location, or better yet, avoid doing business with them entirely to prevent the risk of acquiring a vehicle with inaccurate information. It is important to note that the manager is reportedly aware of these practices.

Just give yourself a favor and try to avoid buying form this Location This location is shady and committing fraud. One of the worker told me to give him money to list any car I like as non running car so I could get it Cheaper and also they mark non running car as run and drive if they know the seller so there is higher bids. I would avoid getting a car without seeing it yourself, and make sure it’s as it described in the website.

Went today to sign over a title and some other things, they were kind and speedy. The office was clean and really nice, my mom made the comment on how clean it smelled which was nice and the people were lovely and a joy to talk to !!

I need to travel to another state, waiting for the car at Copart which is late, in the meantime they are filling potholes and many people are waiting for their cars

Showed up today to look at one car, they told me to wait for escort to see it, this is something new, last time I was there about a month ago, just went and looked at a car easy. This time had to wait for who knows how long. I just left, did not see the car, did not bid, you lost a client today and probably a good sale for a car.

I hope this message is read and they help customer service. I tell you that I went to copart today to pay for some cars who NEVER helped me give me good treatment. There is a glasses person whose treatment was horrible and who never gave me an alternative. payment! It was always an excuse in your response. I hope you help the client since you use our money. Thank you.

Very very poor service. Leaves vehicles UNATTENTED with keys INSIDE without contacting me at all. This company is unsafe to use and the workers are EXTREMELY rude. I had a lady that was very rude and hung up on me. Once I find out her name I will be making another review. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS

There was a man at the front desk named Aaron. He was incredibly personable and helpful (giving us lot locations, useful info for pickup, etc.) Thank you for the great service, Aaron. If you see him, know that you'll be taken care of!

Bid on and was awarded truck from auction. After purchase truck displayed major discrepancies in damage. Front desk staff member and general manager were consulted and it was determined to be “tough luck” on the part of the customer. Staff also uninterested in even investigating potential damage or discrepancies. Regional manager was consulted and continued to hold unreasonable viewpoints of Copart’s listing policies despite contradictory photographic evidence Buyer was given choices of paying for vehicle or paying high relist fees. Copart’s dedication to its members and customers is severely affected in many areas. Unreasonable policies, sleazy business tactics and an inability to be honest have become what this company stands for. Future business will not be conducted with them and I would advise fellow buyers to be cautious with doing so.

Terrible service, they 100% ignore buyer requests. Getting the vehicle delivered involved literally hours on hold over the space of a week. So far it has been more than a month and they still haven't gotten the title to me, although I've asked 3 times. They delivered the vehicle with a broken windshield, which they acknowledge didn't show in the photos. I've bought nearly a dozen vehicles through Copart this year and their customer service is non-existent. Looks like I'm going to have to file a Dealer Complaint through the DMV in order to get the title.

Lied to by the agent and told me that they’re not able to get a copy of the title which is 100% factually not true and to think that you can tell your customers that and just have them what openly except a blatant lie? I am most certain that when I bought the car it said that if somebody besides the person picking it up was going to which I had a tow truck company that they would send it to the DMV which they did not they sent it to my home address and never gave me the tracking number. This entire time I thought it was sitting at the DMV where my drivers license that I used to purchase the car is registered in a different state. The second Copart Silletti to give mediocre service and honestly I don’t know how they’re in business. 2 other female agents were legit mean to me and started catching an attitude and were like “yeah you were told to sue us by the dmv? Then sue , go ahead sue us” But if you’re reading this you can get a duplicate copy of your title and the person who needs to get it is the original owner but the original owner of this specific facility is a liar and a business fraud. It was also supposed to be an oregon title as marketed on the listing but it is not an Oregon title.

Brady the Manager of this location is rude, mean and acting on the God mode!! Zero customer service, zero communication skills! This is exactly how you act if you work to get paid by salary, I bit if he owns this business will never treated his customers this way!!I I am a dealer and I spent between $10k-$15k A WEEK here for the past few weeks!! and finally I get treated like this! I am taking my business elsewhere where it would be much appreciated I guess!

Worst experience ever! Bought a vehicle said it had a certain amount of mileage but got delivered to my place with a different mileage reading. After figuring it all out the mileage that they imputed was the trip mileage. After contacting them they agreed to take the car back at my own delivery expense! It was there fault sadly to say it was very hard to even get them to refund my money back I’m so upset I don’t get my transportation fees refunded! Unexceptional service! Don’t buy! Buyer beware!

I've been buying cars from Copart lots for years. In the last 12 months, I've bought 2 items from the Portland South location, and both were a problem. The first was a travel trailer that was listed as "minor dents and scratches" and also claimed that they had keys for it. Well, the trailer had a massive gouge in the siding down the length of the trailer, a broken skylight, and did not come with keys. The damage was not visible in the photos. The staff was unsympathetic and refused to do anything meaningful. In the second case, someone rolled down a window in the car and left it that way, for months. Copart never protected the car in their own lot, and by the time I won the auction, the car was soaked inside and growing mold. I've also seen several listings (that I didn't bid on) that had missed listing obvious damage. I understand that sales are "as-is, where-is" and they aren't responsible for the accuracy of listing info, but Portland North and Eugene don't make these mistakes. IMHO, this lot does a lousy job of inspecting the vehicles when they come in, and don't really pay attention to them in their lot. I now avoid buying from this lot.

Great people, service is amazing. You need to Remember this is an auction. They do not inspect the cars. You need to Inspect before you buy. Copart doesn’t own most of the cars sold. You will not be able to drive them prior to bidding on them. Many cars at any auction have issues this is why they are there being sold. Perfect cars are not sold here. So set you expectations low, and you’ll be happy with your purchase.

Horrible service! Sold me a what I thought was a clean title car, ( stated in the listing as such) Once I got the title it was a branded title. Took over a week to resolve only because I had to call them every single time. They finally acknowledged their mistake and let me send the car back. They WILL NOT reimburse my transport fees to return the car, even though they sold me a salvaged title and it was their error. So I am out $250.

Make sure you inspect your car on pickup and if there is damage REFUSE to take it until they pay for damages. Both rear control arms were damaged during loading by forklift employee said to get a quote and that they would pay for it. Later that week they called saying we could return it or keep it with no payment from them for damages. They wont cover any of the cost to trailer vehicle back. This is the last time i buy from Copart.
May 12, 2020 -
We bought a car here and when picking up they damaged both rear controls arms while loading on the trailer. We spoke to a person there, who explained all we needed to do was get a quote and they would give us money for the damaged parts. We sent them the quotes the same day. 4 days later they call us back and say we only have two options, keep the car with absolutely no reconciliation for the cost of damaged parts, or drive all the way back up and return the car for the price we paid, again with no reconciliation of transport costs. Either way it's a terrible deal for us and we end up losing money because of an error on Copart's end.

I was very surprised how this location handles there business. This is the second wreck in 2 years that I have been involved in. When I came to retrieve my personals out of my property the person that stood by was not helping at all. Some of his comments and behavior was un acceptable for a person that is supposedly a yard manager. I asked if there was anyone above him to talk to and he informed me there was but he would not be able to talk to me because he was in a meeting I need to make an appointment with him. I have never been treated this badly and had so many comments made to me.

Great Staff but guy who brought my car on the forklift had the car tilted it up too much and it dented amd damaged the front bumper on both sides that made contact to the forklift. Car was damage free when I saw it until that happened. He pretended like nothing happened.

I’ve been to both Portland copart locations and other area auctions. Thus one is by far the worst. Copart has the highest fees and the most difficult process to view a vehicle before you bid. The corporate narrative states it’s open to the public but it’s heavily biased towards dealers with expense accounts, and “member services, although polite, has little sway with the timing of getting things in order so individual buyers seeking to bid on vehicles for personal use can compete...and then there are the fees...which even the employees can’t seem to explain....and after all that every auction is online...with additional fees for that...which is unavoidable because there isn’t any on site auctions...oh, and you’re also bidding against international buyers and dealers...who also have the advantage of “midnight special” online auctions the public isn’t admitted to. In the end when all of the costs of the auction are added up, a “civilian” is paying an average of 49% in fees and premiums in addition to the highest bid, and you have 3 days to tow it out...also at your cost, with no warranty or pre purchase reconditioning. That’s not a bargain. It’s a major ripoff. In the end you can buy from a private party with more confidence or pay the same price at a used dealership for a car that’s been cleaned up with a 30 day warranty. As for this location, compared to others it’s the worst managed on the west coast. You’ll never get through to a human being at that location on the phone, and if you show up during viewing hours trying to look at a car you want to bid on, the people at the counter are clueless, and apparently even if a car is set to be auctioned, it can be sold without notice. The guy in front of me in line drove 6 hours to view a car listed for auction in 2 days only to find out it had been sold in a side deal earlier that day and when he asked why he hadn’t been told, and why it was still listed online fir sale, no one was willing to give him an answer...including management. I went to look at 4 possible cars scheduled for the next days auction and was sent out to the lot with a jump kit that wasn’t charged and a hand drawn map. None of the cars were at the indicated locations and none of the office or lot employees had a clue where they were, nor was anyone willing to find out. Wasted over 3 hours of my life plus travel...not to mention the guy in front of me who lost a full day. There’s no excuse for that kind of mismanagement. Don’t even bother with this outfit unless you enjoy sacrificing valuable time and effort for nothing, and expect to pay more street value for whatever you get when it’s all added up. ...and never ever bid on a vehicle you’ve not inspected because the descriptions and stated condition are “subject to error and change” and most are trashed and it’s “as is where it is” plus daily storage. If you really want to look for a car at auction, There are other local options that allow you to look and start before you bid and you’ll pay far less in fees and selling price.

If you want to get a newer car cheaply, check out the auctions at Copart. I picked up this Elantra for a little less than half price and am thrilled with the car and my experience with the auction house.

very cool place! everyone there is awesome to be around and they have a lot of knowledge on what they are doing! the small girl at the counter was very helpful. The yard staff seem to be quite busy, but I still got my vehicle out pretty quickly thanks to the yard manager! hes very handsome!

I bought cars from them and it's not their fault if you don't check the car before bidding. they are nice with their customers and I have good experience with them. they do encourages buyers to check cars before they bid. The only thing I dislike the fees specially if the vehicle cheap you pay more on fees.
