Amazing service, very helpful and Steve didn't charge an arm and a leg! (Review posted before new owners took over, no idea how they treat customers- hope they're as good as when the old owner ran it)

This is an awesome business. Steve is very knowledgeable and inexpensive. He makes you feel confident about the condition your vehicle is in.

Steve is a rare find in auto repair. He is skilled, prompt, and honest. I had a bad alternator on my old Toyota which would have cost me 2 times what Steve charged. The other three quotes all went with the published labor charge but Steve was able to do the job in a fraction of the time.

Steve has been my go-to repairman for my ‘91 Camry for many years now and has always served me well. His knowledge of Asian cars is as good as anybody who has done work for me in the past. He goes the extra mile to see you’re satisfied and even helps me keeps costs down by making suggestions on repairs I can do myself. Highly recommended.

I waited to write this review until the work Steve performed proved itself and it did greatly for me. My 96 S-10 Pickup had the Dex Coolant solidify throughout the entire radiator, heater core and the engine, a problem that GM was sued for in 2008 because of the Dex Coolant problems. A well known repair shop in Salem Oregon that goes by initials and the first being an "A" said it would be $1700 minimum to fix with no guarantees. They also said they recommend a new engine at 4 to 5 thousand, the vehicle is worth maybe 3,000 running. I about sold it off "As-Is" for $700+/- until a co-worker that used Steve told me to talk to Steve first. I called him and he explained some things about it to me and I had the pickup delivered to him. I said I was in no hurry so it took a month for him to fit it in and fix it, but I was the one that said "No Hurry" and he took me at my word. Steve fixed it and for the cost of $513 and I had my vehicle back and I didn't have to buy a new car saving me alot of money. This 96 Chevy S-10 pickup is in great shape with only 140,000 miles and I am grateful Steve and Silverton Import Auto did such a great job and allowed me to keep it. Steve is one of the most honest mechanics I have ever dealt with in all my 60 years, I totally endorse Steve and Silverton Import Auto.
