Double check your bill and legal maximums for towing. They charged me for more than legally allowed and denied me their contract agreement towing rates document with APD. They are supposed to keep it readily avaliable but said they've given me everything - lie - they have it to me after weeks of silence and me saying it's illegal to not. Definitely reccomend AA if you like fraud.
Also under valued my car / will not provide their appraisal record, the appraisal is important because it determines how long they have to keep it before auction. If they used the actual vehicle value I would've had 60 days to retrieve it vs the 30 they gave me. Also gave me less for the scrap then what they said their rate is by 30%. and they held an illegal auction. Then I found their ebay with parts with the vin number. Very illegal operation. Reach out to me if you experienced this too to see if it's a one off mistake. Or possibly an entire scheme
Response to comment: you guys lied again - note how the towing rate for a regular passenger car at the time is $200, the bill you charged me for $300. Not only that, you were literally fighting me when I asked for your tow rates proposal form you're to keep readily avaliable. Also your rate for scrap per pound for my vehicle's dry weight which you're required to pay the full amount by law. Also you held an un fair auction by doing it at 10am on a Wednesday, an inconvenient time as literally everyone is at work, and 60 days earlier than you were allowed to auction it.
This is how you treat someone who financially can't get their car back. Get paid by APD, give me less than my cars valued because of your auction method, hand it over to your in house scrap yard and have them give me less than the pound/$ rate you told me, AND you parted out down to the ECU and sub frame... put that on ebay for more profit

These people are the reason towing operators have a bad name they charge me $2000 for towing and storage for a motercycle i had sold over 5 years ago i am a homeless Air Force vet on a fixed income and they extort money from me greed is there business model.
The right thing would be notify the owner before the vehicle is towed , held in storage for 2 months , sold at auction , sent to. collection then notified . You prey on senior citizens .

My husband took out my truck without asking & ended up getting arrested & the truck impounded. I was never notified it had been impounded, and found it a few days later that it had and where it was, AA towing in Albany. It was going to be around $500 at that point to get it out. I couldn't come up with the money, so my father in law called and asked about me retrieving my belongings. He was told that I would be charged $400 to retrieve our things.
Absolutely outrageous! I've contacted the state board of towing & a waiting to see what steps I need to take next, to try and recover our things.
** Update ** in response to your reply... Why is it that I was told $400 to get any property out, while you've told others even in these reviews, that they shouldnt have to pay to get their belongings? I've also still, to this day, not been notified that my truck was impounded. Not by your tow yard, nor by the police.
Attitude was horrible tried to not let me get my stuff from my car after it was in the yard from being totaled had to have friend of mine contact the owner as they know each other so he could let me get my stuff and informed me I never should of been told I can't and even lots of rudeness from other employees when calling back for more Info about the car and bill being taken care of derided not to pay them now cuz of this bad experience
Update for reply.. it was the dmv registered owner that they didn't let in dont let there reply confuse you as if someone else that didn't own the vehicle tried to get in if my name is the name on the registration then they should of let me in to get my stuff from the vehicle but they didn't till there owner showed up and told them to do there job right

Very clear about pricing and options about storage/ fees etc. Never thought id say I liked working with a towing company but they were very accommodating, timely, friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this towing company. So easy to work with and i was very very thankful for the friendliness of their drivers as well. They made a crappy situation with a broken down car very easy to deal with.
I ran out of range on my EV before I made it to the charge station and had to get a tow. It was around 3:30 am. I called my insurance and after 40+ minutes they couldn't find anyone willing to come out before 8am. It was 40° outside and I was not willing to wait for over 4 hours, so I called a few 24 hour tow companies in Albany, but surprisingly no one was on shift or available until around 8am. However, when I called AA, the lady who answered sounded like I woke her up, but she was so helpful. She got Jordan to wake up and come get me at like 4am. He was so kind and quick. It was such a pleasant experience. Thank you so much!
I called them for help in a very hard time of a family members life her trailer was stuck somewhere and was told if it didn’t get moved she would be towed away causing her to be completely homeless without a rough over her head. The very kind gentleman that I talked to understood the situation and waved the fee to move her. I love this company they showed me there are still kindhearted people in today’s society.

Edit: You sent the bill through to Collections, don't even lie. The person we talked to at the front desk admitted you do this, as well as you using a third party for mailing your bills. It never ONCE made it to my insurance, so you're lying through your teeth to save face. Pathetic..
Had my car towed by AA after a wreck, and couldn't get to my car for almost a week for insurance or police files. Signed it over, and they said I'd get a bill for using their lot until the car could be auctioned off. Five months later I get a massive bill from a collection agency, with zero notifications prior from AA that I owed them anything yet.... My credit takes a hit, due to no prior communication on their end. Called customer service, and they were absolutely worthless, and had no answers for why they did that. Never doing business with these Scammers again. They'll just send you straight to collection.

These people are worthless, especially the guy sitting behind the counter. Drove down from Salem for a part he claimed he had (even gave me the price) only for me to show up and they didn’t even have it. I recommend B&R or G&R.

These guys are seriously dumb and great at wasting your time. They had a part out car posted on marketplace so I reached out about a specific part. They told me they did have it. I even asked if they could hold it for two days and they said yes they could. When I got there they were already rude and unhelpful and had told me to walk out to the car and grab it myself. Had to dredge through the mud walking out to the car... The part was already sold. Walking back to front super pissed I ruined my shoes for nothing I asked if they might have put it somewhere because they told me they could hold it. Low and behold they treat me like I'm the idiot when they told me they could hold the part.
Absolutely hands down, the best tow company I have ever had the unfortunate pleasure of having to be picked up by. The dispatch lady I spoke with was beyond compassionate and helpful, she made sure I was taken care of and even helped calm me down. She dispatched someone to me immediately and he was to me within 20 minutes. Super friendly driver and even with the circumstances, he made sure to make good conversation and helped keep my spirits up.

Amazing service! Had a tire blowout on the freeway with no spare. Aaron came and saved the day, dropped my car off at the tire shop (closed for the night) and then dropped me and my surfboard off at a nearby motel for the evening. These guys will make you feel taken care of!
