Beware…. Do not use them. We took scrap aluminum in yesterday and the price was .98 for clean, .73 for dirty.
Went back with more of the same and they said it was NOT Aluminum, price for clean was.59, and dirty .14. They argued and refused to do the right thing.
Not an honest person on the lot!!!

They close at 11:30 and 3pm , everyone office and yard are send to lunch at same time

Saw A Sims Ticket Today On You Tube ,, Today In Chesepeke west virgina a guy took a load of shred and made 190 a ton,,, if thats the national price why isnt tulsa Oklahoma sims paying the same thing ?
It's okay when it comes to getting in and out with smaller loads of materials but it's larger and mixed types of materials that takes a little bit longer to sort out items for proper locations and getting right price for the types of scrap material. Sims has competitive prices for all types of recycling materials treat everyone right when being honest and straight with customers.
Just took in 125 pounds of clean aluminum screen doors and windows and only got $20 which is a big rip off and watse of time i even ask the lady at the window how much is it for clean aluminum screen doors and window she said .50 cents per pound if it's clean whichever it was and at 50 cents per pound at 125 pounds is $62 dollars and only got 20 out of all it please be aware of they do for u I didn't even want to leave a one-star buy had no chose
Only 3 stars because I blew a trailer tire because of their junk laying everywhere. Dry van drivers need to check the side of the building as you pull around to the dock. I had to wait on a mechanic putting new bumpers on the dock so I got out to open my trailer doors and had to kick 4 nails and 1 screw away from my drive tire. You are bound to get something at this place in your tire. Forklift guy was nice. Lady that puts the seal on is snippy and rude.
Truckers beware. They lie about the weights. These are all over 40k lbs. booked a load thru coyote listed at 20klbs, RC confirmed 20klbs and actually was 42k lbs. they paid an extra $50, but that barely covers the extra fuel and scale ticket. Book these loads as if they are 42klbs
Easy breezy in + out. Just be aware of changes coming August first of this year. If you are vehicle challenged and are going in on foot...come August that will be no bueno. I've attached a picture I took of the announcement that they have posted ALL over the place.
Sims took 40 lbs for "non metallics" for 5lbs of fiberglass. That's how they're making money... screwing people in poundage... good luck if you use them. FRAILEY'S FOREVER!

Very fast and simple process. Many team members t o assist you as you drop off your scrap metal for top dollar prices! They also give you a detailed receipt of the scrap and price you were paid for each type of metal. My go to scrap yard!

Great place very clean don't have to worry about your tires going flat however give me dirty aluminum price for window frames that just had a little caulking on them.
They bad company. Damage mu trailer when loaded. I call manager his says no that not me. But now for shure that his forklift driver. Police says we can do nothing that private property.
If they short you 100 lbs and you call and text over and over 7 months will pass and you still will not have a check. Right Nick maybe this will get someones attention. Next thing is to send aletter to corperate.
Shame on this place! We took our cans here and they took 10 lbs. off, saying there was 10 lbs. of water. I know for a fact that was not true because we had bagged them ourselves and there wasn't any water in the bags. They ripped us off!! I'll never go there again and I
wouldnt recommend anyone to go there!
Never going back.......... Thought I would give this place a shot. Fail! So fast paced the scale operator was confused on whose material was whose. Called my clean extruded sheet and my prepared steel tin. Talked to a nice Gal who I thought changed it when all she did was change the prepared to prepared and gave me dirty extruded price. Ended up talking to somebody "in charge" who got rude with me because I kept on asking "what makes it dirty?" his responses were all a crock. Finally he said "you're getting sheet or dirty extruded which one you want?" Crooks......... One guy said extruded has to be brand new or chrome to be clean. Going back to CMC!
First they try to tell me my brake drums and rotors are tin, then round down the weight in multiples of 20lbs increments. This place will rip you off if you don't pay attention.
BEEN TO A COUPLE OTHER RECYCLE CENTERS AND STUCK WITH SIMS AFTER THE FIRST VISIT. OTHER CENTERS I'VE BEEN TO HAD YOU GUESSING WHERE TO GO AND WHAT TO DO AND I ALSO FELT LIKE I NEEDED A 4x4 TO MOVE ABOUT THE PREMISES. SIMS IS BY FAR THE CLEANEST AND MAKES IT VERY SIMPLE - PULL UP, PULL IN, GIVE YOUR I.D., DROP OFF YOUR METAL AND HEAD TO THE OFFICE. THEY ALSO HAVE PUBLIC RESTROOMS AND VENDING MACHINES IN THE OFFICE.
I get treated with respect and get paid fairly at this scrap yard. Several other yards on Lewis avenue ripped me off and were very rude. Sims has the cleanest, fairest yard in Tulsa. I am a female scrapper in a man's world, just lookin' to get paid a fair price, highly recommend Sims over other yards in Tulsa.
The cleanest best paying scrap yard in the Tulsa area.. Not to mention the most professional. By far...all other scrap yards need to tour this place..The yard and office staff was very helpful and courteous..The warehouse was very clean, but needs much improvement on being helpful and customer friendly..but they broke down my metals to where they paid me the most.
Thieves run the scales at this place. Trust no one here. Make sure you get a total weight from whoever waits on you. I was preoccupied when I went there and didn't realize until I checked the receipt a week later that I had been robbed of over $50 in aluminum by the creep running the scale.
