First, Sand Springs is behind the times and needs to have recycling pickup. Secondly, I'm always nervous I'm gonna get a lecture from the lady because I brought something that's recyclable but they don't take it here. It seems every time I get lectured. I do love that they give jobs to people with disabilities though.

I am so glad I found this! I was able to drop off my recycling in the night drop. Everything was clean and well labeled.

The hours of operation don't make any sense. I called at 1 pm on a Saturday and got an answering machine . How are people who work for a living going to use this facility? Your hours say 9 to 3 on Saturday, wrong.

I love taking my recyclables here because they are always so accomodating and friendly. Dispite being full of trash the place looked remarkably clean. We even got a flyer for a car show to go to and we really enjoy car shows and knew nothing about it until he handed it to us. He even made sure we understood how to get there (well, him and the boyfriend talked through it, don't ask me). I've come here many times and have never had an unpleasant experience. I love how vigilant they are in making sure they are properly sorted because I feel like if someone is taking your recyclables willy nilly without rule, rhyme or reason, then they might not be actually recycling them. I don't know, I'm traumatized from living in Tulsa and thinking I was recycling. Thank you so much. Careful, can be hard to find and has limited hours.

We took our plastic to this location today for the first time. We were not aware of having to remove the lids from the plastic bottles. The man that took this plastic was helpful, but the woman that was there was rude because we did not remove the caps and did not want to accept them due to this.

This is a good place to take your paper, tin cans, bottle's, oil, cardboard and a few other things. They are nice and helpful. They don't take tuna cans or small cat food cans.

Convenient location to drop off your recyclables, including used motor oil! Having attendants provides employment for disabled people, and they accept the materials for free! Win Win Win

I live on the border of Osage County and Tulsa County, and there is no curb recycling service offered at the time of this writing (July 2016). However, I was happy to learn that the Tulsa-based Metropolitan Environmental Trust offers this drop-off facility. Here are some items of interest: - You do not have to pre-sort items - Items that are recyclable include #1 and #2 plastics, steel cans, newspaper, magazines, cardboard, glass, and aluminum - There is someone manning the station from 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., 7 days a week Until there is curb recycling where I live, this is a great option. Check it out and do something good for our planet and future generations!
