I arrived at 9:20 ish, the staff were friendly and I was able to drop off my car battery free of charge. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to drop off my fluorescent tubes. I arrived there for two purposes 1) To drop of the car battery and 2) To drop off these fluorescent tubes. The M.e.t. Recycling Center from Broken Arrow website said they accepted Electronic waste. ( I thought fluorescent tubes are electronic waste?) If there was a mistake with the website please fix it. I am still willing to give this place another chance
since, they accepted my car battery!
We went in today 4-7-2025 and inquired about probably disposing of household hazardous waste. The lady I spoke to was informative. I recommend checking their web site for time they are open and what they except.
Came to this location that lists it's hours open until 5pm I'm here 3:52 and it's closed complete waste of my time gas and wear and tear. Update your listing please to have accurate upto date info for your company simple things to have happy customers which I am not doubt you care sense you can't even update your info on line
I dropped off some recycling and there was an attendant there to help unload the car. That was my first drop off. It meets my needs for a one stop recycling location. The only thing I couldn't find was a neighborhood compost for non-oil and non-meet kitchen scraps.
Sitting in the parking lot leaving this review. The staff is excellent. This is my first time dropping off recycling here. I’m new to BA and the director took time to welcome me to the area. I’m lucky to have such a great center so close to home.
They only take #1 & #2 plastics in bottle form. The attendant stated they weren't equiped to process anything but plastic bottle shapes. He took my glass and paper with no problems. They also take alkaline batteries. That's nice to know. No one else seems to...
I am thankful there is a place in BA taking recycled. Easy in and out and staff help unload. Charles is always cheery. The staff is great and helpful. Keep up the great work
I love taking all my recyclables to the MET in Broken Arrow. The staff is very helpful every time I go. I'm soooo thankful that these folks get to work and be productive members of society. They sure don't let their disabilities hold them back. I'm very happy for them....
They WILL NOT take, cardboard milk cartons, pet food bags, even if the bag is COMPLETELY empty, paper wrapping packaging material, plastic shrink wrap or empty cardboard pizza boxes. It's like they pick and choose WHAT they will allow you to recycle. So, I have to throw all of my items in the trash and fill up an already ove-filled landfill? Not, very environmentally friendly, if they tell you what they will allow and not allowed!! But a very good place if you have old eletronics to get rid of.
Great Place & Great People
I've used this recycling center for over ten years now and the people who staff it always greet me very nicely, come and unload my truck for/with me and they almost always seem to be very happy working here.
I highly recommend that if you haven't started recycling your plastics, cans, cardboard, newspapers, magazines and just about anything else that you just throw away, get two or three plastic bins and put this stuff in there.
The kind people at this center will sort it for you and you've reduced your carbon footprint in the process.
