Bought a transmission from them and it broke internally the first day we drove the car. It was obvious the car that they scrapped had this issue when they took it in. Should have never sold the transmission out of the car. Called and they neglected to take care of the problem and would not return calls like they said they would to help. Stay far away from this shady place!!! Spent $1100 and $200 ship it and all down the drain.
Had an RV in storage that had seen better days. Kirby's was able to come out the same day. Handled it perfectly on the tight rental lot and dropped it exactly where I wanted it at my house. Took great care with my RV. Really happy with the service and attention to details. Will use in future and recommend highly.
Good place to get parts or get your car towed. Very convenient if you live in or around Richwood. The owner Jack Kirby is my grandfather's cousin, Donald Wurtsbaugh.
They have the best prices around you pull it. You never know what you're gonna find there. The other day I bought a truck seat. Lucky me. I pulled the seat out. I found a quarter.
Called and asked if they had a part told me they did went there walked all the way through the yard didn't have the part I needed they was too lazy to go out and look for it to see if they even had it but told me they did
When AAA failed us, leaving us stranded 30 miles from home, Kirby Auto came to our rescue.
After waiting 4 hours for AAA to find a driver for a tow truck, I called Kirby who responded right away.
Earnest was our driver and he couldn't have been nicer or better at his job!

I've never had a bad experience. They towed my car years ago when I rolled into a field. The guy was really nice considering he had to get up at 6am on a Sunday to drag my car 100ft to the road. Never had issues with parts. I recently called asking for "get me by" truck tires. They gave me a good deal on 2 that were nearly brand new.
The owner and guys who work there are helpful and friendly- they hooked me up with a spare for my trailer, and a set of rims with basically brand new tires for my truck (picked from the yard). The cars in the yard are pretty close together , so bring a jack and tools and maybe some wood blocks. The quality of the parts is excellent and the tire shop is great too. They make money and you save money its a win win.
An hour and a half late. Rude combative Tow Truck driver. Wanted to tell you about his life story. Rough on car. Slamming car doors. Had to go into house to avoid his combative nature. Threatening and opinionated. May or may not tow your car depending on the drivers mood.
Very quickly came and picked up a car we wanted to junk and gave us considerably more than any of the other local places, very friendly and efficient. I highly recommend them!
My go to for parts when I need them. Good guys, lots of cars to pick. Though my ocd kinda kills me with the organization but hey, they're piles of junk cars - what can I do lol. Love these guys though! Super affordable.
The guy who fixed my tire was a very nice man. He was very polite carried on a conversation with me told me he had other tires i could come back for at a later time. Will most definitely be going back to get tires from him
My transmission went out of my SUV. I called Kirby's to get it towed back to my parents house the driver was to me in 20 minutes. He was very friendly and professional. He had my car on the bed in 5 minutes. He even cleaned up the transmission fluid that my car spilled on the road. Great Job Kirbys!!
BEWARE! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! SCAM! Daughter broke down on the way back to school. We called this towing service and was quoted $60 plus $3 a mile (Jeep dealerships was 3-4 away). Then guy shows up to tow us and said we owe more money! We are a hour away and it was a Sunday night. I think they knew we were trapped. They ended up charging my credit card $150! Calling better business bureau!
Horrible service! I called to get my car towed today I was told $40 on the phone to get my car towed half a mile I waited two hours for the tow truck to come I ended up calling kirbys back n the guy didn’t even take my address down the first time I spoke to him the truck finally shows up for the driver to say I owed him $50 again tow my car half a mile when I called kirbys to question y I now owe $10 more the man on the phone yelled at me n said he would just send his driver else where the tow truck left n I was stuck figuring out what to do from there he was overly rude n so mean n said that he was losing money bc of having to help me I will NEVER go to Kirbys for anything. All about making money n not helping the community
These guys have no idea what they are doing.. We have had to take back three transmissions and each time they gave us the wrong one! They have no idea how to read a transmission tag. Took back the lastest one and they actually wrote over the year to make it look like it was the correct one! I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Price is really good for car parts, never felt like I paid too much. However; iIhavent had a tow or any other business dealing with them just used parts in which I felt good when I left.
Don't waste your time like they wasted mine. I Left work early to go get a part that they said they had multiples of. Got there and they didn't want to have to lift up a vehicle to pull it. That was after they gave me a price TO HAVE THEM PULL IT. You have been warned, do not believe that they have a part until you physically have it in your possession.
Jack is overly fair on prices and cares. He sales good parts, not once have I ever had to take something back. I'd drive many miles to do business there rather than some place
It's been a while since I have been there. Different people, higher prices, unorganized now. $20 for a used old coil pack off a 03 mercury. $24 after shipping from rockauto. Just seems like they have a set standard for everything now and it doesn't matter what it is.
horrible experience called to get a engine and was told later that day If not that The next FOR sure well i called again At 9 am and was told it would be done 1st Thing well i called again At 2pm,to see If it was done The Guy i called and talked to said that it was being worked on and would find out how much longer it would be,and call me back. he never called back after waiting 20 mins i decided to drive there which took another half hour ONCE we got there they lied nothing was being worked,on and The Guy that does The work knew nothing about The engine i needed we sat there FOR over 2 hours before finally getting it. we finally left At 5.20 pm i feel bad FOR The Guy tom who had to strip Down The engine though he had no Power tools had to do it all by hand and noone would help him and everyone was walking around doing nothing and The owner was drinking and chopping it up With The cop. what a way to run a business suprised he even has people to work for him Let alone anyone go back there and buy off him
Is terrible for when you need a car towed, my uncle has been talking to them for a week now and everyday they say they will pick up the car and then it gets too late in the day and they say “ they can put it on the list for tomorrow” and it never gets handled. Definitely don’t take the customers into consideration and are not reliable.
