you guys are awesome in doing your towing. I was stuck in kent ohio during the snow storm on friday night and after waiting on AAA and no help at all from them you got me as soon as possible and no other towing company would come out or return my calls. Great job would recommend you every time.
Terrible service waited on a tow ALL day with no updates and was told my tow was not a priority when we finally called to see what was going on. They were very hostile and hung up when trying to speak with them. Would not recommend this company. Poor communication and customer service.
I can't say enough about this team and how much we appreciated their help in negative windchill temps. Josh took my call at 6:05 am and proceeded to work his magic to rearrange a driver to be dispatched as quickly as possible. Bill arrived in 10 minutes and was kind, understanding, and gave my son a quick lesson on how to get himself out of a snowbank in the future. By 630 we were on our way again. Thank you guys!!
Horrible prices I got tow by police when I called for help my car wasn't here 24 hrs and right down street was charge $4oo this place is ridiculous don't work with horrible

One of our company trucks got stuck in a bad snow storm. They came out fast and winched out our truck and trailer. They had the best ETA and price in the 100mi radius. This company was literally a lifesaver me and my two friends were stuck on route 80 in Ohio on the way back to Pittsburgh from Detroit. I called this company they had somebody sent out to me within an hour. They were reasonably priced and the tow truck driver, Travis I dealt with Was an excellent guy, real honest and easy to communicate and chat with. If I ever have her another crazy incident like this Again, I will most definitely be calling this company again thank you guys for everything you guys the best
This towing company blatantly took advantage of an emergency situation caused by a snowstorm in which one of our trucks jackknifed on the highway. Instead of providing professional emergency assistance, they engaged in what can only be described as extreme price gouging, charging nearly 10 times the normal towing and recovery rates.
Even after full payment was made, they wrongfully held our trailer for over 24 hours with absolutely no justification. The trailer was carrying a time-sensitive government load, and their refusal to release it caused serious operational and contractual risk to our business.
There was no transparency, no documentation, no legitimate explanation—only delay tactics after payment had already been received. Holding equipment after payment is made is unacceptable, unethical, and borders on extortion, especially during a declared emergency weather event.
This company demonstrated predatory behavior, complete disregard for industry standards, and a total lack of professionalism. We strongly warn carriers, fleet owners, and brokers to avoid this company at all costs, particularly in emergency or weather-related situations where they clearly exploit customers who have no immediate alternatives.
This experience will be reported to the BBB and all relevant regulatory authorities.
The communication is very poor, they take a long time to release our asset even after receiving the payment. They were very rude out of the 3 people that I talked to over the phone with I had not one pleasent converstation.
Predatory pricing and extremely unprofessional behavior. Charged over $9,000 to pull our semi, were rude the entire time, and showed nothing but attitude. Took advantage of the situation when we had no choice. Avoid at all costs.
Our experience with this company was extremely frustrating and alarming. After an accident, we were forced to use Interstate Towing & Transport Specialist, as they were assigned by local police, leaving us with no ability to choose another towing provider. From that point on, everything went downhill.
The charges were outrageously high with little to no explanation, and the moment we questioned the bill, communication completely stopped. Calls went unanswered, messages were ignored, and it became clear that they were unwilling to discuss or resolve anything unless the full amount was paid immediately.
The situation felt heavily one-sided and pressured. Being assigned this company by law enforcement, combined with their refusal to communicate and inflated pricing, raises serious concerns about whether there is some kind of standing arrangement in place that leaves customers with no protection or options. Regardless of the reason, customers should never feel trapped or coerced in such a vulnerable situation.
On top of that, the staff were rude, dismissive, and shockingly unprofessional, showing no empathy or accountability. For a company that operates in emergency and post-accident situations, the lack of transparency and basic human decency was disturbing.

My vehicle (a 2020 Freightliner Cascadia) was towed following an incident on 12/15/2025, resulting in a $9,118.00 bill. The charges are a brazen scheme to inflate costs: • $3,600.00 "Recovery" Fee: An unjustifiable, non-negotiable lump sum that makes up nearly half of the entire charge. This fee alone is proof of their price-gouging strategy. • Four Separate Labor Charges: They billed for FOUR different units of labor, including 4 x "M-P Units" ($1,200.00 total) and 4 x "Scene Supervisor" fees ($600.00 total) for what should have been a standard operation. This is clearly an attempt to maximize billable hours by over-staffing the scene. • Hidden Fees: On top of everything, they slap on a $568.00 "5% Admin Fee." This is a non-service charge that has no purpose other than adding profit on top of their already inflated price. When challenged, the staff was: 1. After my fiancé near-fatal car accident, these savages stole her phone, Coach bag, all of her credit cards and belongings. And to add even more insult to injury, they released MY car without my signature or consent and now I have no idea what they've done with our property. All of this on top of what our family is going through. This place is HORRIBLE! DON'T EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE DIRTY, SHADY PEOPLE. They're disgusting!
Terrible experience from start to finish. We didn’t even call this towing company ourselves — the police called them after our truck broke down. They didn’t respond the whole day, left us waiting for hours with zero updates, and when they finally showed up, they charged an outrageous amount. The price was way too high for the poor service we got.
It honestly felt like they took advantage of the situation because we had no choice. Totally unprofessional, irresponsible, and overpriced. Would never recommend this company to anyone.
Awesome experience needing a heavy tow. Driver Ron was extremely experienced with getting an old dump truck that has not moved for years hooked and ready to tow. Even with running into issues he would find a solution. Once he arrived at our property he backed it in right where we needed it. I would highly recommend this company for your towing needs.
Last Friday, 8/29/25 at 1130am I followed their huge yellow 12 wheel heavy wrecker doing 90 mph going west on the turnpike near the airport exit 90!! I couldn't even keep up with this guy! Never a cop around when you want to see one!

P.S. they are pricey because they charge based off of the toll companies rates but they do work with AAA, thank goodness my sister had it. That saved me $317!!! So if you do not have AAA GET IT NOW you never know when you’ll need it
Terrible drivers. Honking at people that are at red lights turning right. Impatient with everyone on the road. They should be more patient especially with their line of work. They expect people to move over and pass with care but then they’re acting like a child at a red light laying on their horn. Wish I could have gotten a video of the ignorance. I’ve never left a review ever and this was a huge disappointment. I hope you retrain your employees.
Excellent service! Our travel trailer tire blew out on the highway, and we needed help fast. This roadside assistance company came through with the lowest quote and a 45-minute ETA—no surprises, just solid service.
The technician arrived prepared, even when a stubborn lug nut tried to slow things down. He had the right tools, stayed patient, and got us safely back on the road.

So this will be a long review but worth the read. I was towed on a Thursday for a blown turbo. Spoke with the office and was told they can check it Friday or Saturday. Those days came and they couldn’t get to it. Monday came they started working on it and was told it needs a turbo and a new cooler which cost another $1300-1500 I told them just leave the old one and they said no. Either they clean it and charge me 3-5+ hours to clean or get it new. They told me for a week straight the truck would be ready tomorrow but tomorrow came and it was never fixed. Then they tell me oil was in the engine cylinders so that’s another 7 hours of labor to pull some injectors out and suck the oil.. then after all this it’s been about a week and a day or 2 they say it’s ready the trucks blowing smoke but it’s left over oil that has to burn. They said they took the truck for a test drive. So once I hop in and drive it around I’m losing power engines sputtering and now there’s a chirp coming from the engine I drive it back to the shop to find out it was never test drived. They assure me they did there best work to have it running. The truck stays another day at the shop and they said they did a compression test and now one of my cylinders came back only working at 25% efficiency and that I might have bent valves. I decide to take it back like that and take it to my own mechanic who then does a compression test to show me the engines healthy lots of run around but left me with a $7k plus bill
I broke down on the off ramp of 480 east and rt 82 today the coldest day of the year. 9AM. -4° my car was not running at all=NO HEAT I am from Cleveland so I had no one to call to pick me up that wouldn't take at least an hour. SO I'm sitting in my car I AM LITERALLY FREEZING. I call Interstate, super sweet dispatcher answers and in less than 15 minutes I see the bright yellow truck pull up!! 15 minutes!!! The driver Mike (#64 I think) was amazing ushers me out of the frigid car into the tow truck pumps up the heat for me then hooks my car. We have a fantastic chat on the way to the shop. He gives me some stellar advice on my car and the shop that I knew nothing about because again I live 40 miles away. A1 service I will never call anyone else!!! THANK YOU MIKE!!!!
Service was incredible. Understanding and didn’t make me feel stupid for locking my keys in my car. Fred came out in about 20 minutes, and unlocked my car in less than 2 minutes. He was careful handling my car with his equipment, and made sure I was in a safe range away from his equipment. Wish I could give a 10 Star review, 5 for the company and 5 for Fred. I’ll be using them in the future and recommending them to everyone!!!
My Semi broke down on me 4/30/23. Interstate towing not only fixed my transmission, clutch, fly wheel housing etc. but they gave me fair prices even though I was 540 miles from home. Jay the owner never took advantage of me and work with me to get the truck back running. I flew in to get truck, the truck was fixed the right way. Drove it back 538 miles no leaks and shifting like new. The building and equipment were clean and organized. You can tell Jay treats all of his employees good. Front desk lady was very friendly and patient. We took a test drive before he took payment. The entire experience was appreciated. Thanks for caring about the truckers Interstate Towing there aren't a lot of people like you all out here in this industry. I will always refer your business and come back if I'm in the area!!!
The only reason I'm giving them 5 stars is because that's as high as I cam rate them. After getting some run around from a roadside assistance subscription service that will remain nameless, the guys at interstate responded. They came out to where we were parked and assessed our problem. The driver called the owner directly to tell him our ordeal of having bad brakes in a 34 ft motorhome. On top of that, we had been strong around for hours and our campgrounds were booked through the next 2 weeks. He said to come on and he would squeeze us in. We drove to the shop and they took us right in. The techs stayed well beyond their shift, replacing all of brakes, two calipers, and a rotor. Their thoroughness discovered a tire that would most likely failed at some point on our trip causing a dangerous situation for us. The techs and staff were extremely friendly and efficient. Because of their great customer service, thoroughness, and willingness to stay, we are now safely back on the road. And considering the time and amount of work done, I'd say the price was pretty darn reasonable. Thanks to all involved we are now safely on our way and will make our scheduled stops. Many thanks to Interstate. 10 out of 10, highly recommend for your heavy vehicle service and repair.
