Absolutely insane experience. I was hit by another driver and my car was totaled, I went today to get my belongings and my car was wiped clean! Nothing in it except my floor mats and snow brush. I tell the people and they basically say oh well, so I call the towing company that originally had my car and as soon as I say that my car is at Copart she says oh no, they are known for that. So I tell them thank you for robbing me and I go outside to contact the insurance company and an employee walks out and says "thanks for making accusations" and I tell him im contacting the police. Then suddenly another employee comes out with a bag of my stuff saying it was in my center console. I don't have a center console in my car and I searched the car when I was on the lot. And of course the bag contains mostly only the garbage from my car and im still missing items. AVOID!!!
If you are looking for a salvage car or truck, this is the place. You must get a membership in oder for it to purchase one of the thousands of vehicles on their lot.
These are very rude people. They have no respect for other people's belongings and when they disrespect you they give the attitude. They don't care. I would never recommend anybody to go to this company. I lost memorabilia pictures that I'll never get back again. Thanks, copart
My son’s car was totaled and was put up for auction. The auction started on 10/9/24. The website stated the auction ended at 10am on 10/11/24. I put a bid in and also did a max bid. At 10:10am I went on the website and it said the auction was still live. I called copart to find out why the auction didn’t end at 10am like the website stated. They said there was a pre-auction (apparently that was what stated on 10/9), and the auction would go all day. As I was on the phone with them the auction closed and I lost the bid. I am furious! If this is the way they run their auctions then they need to specify it on their website. This car has sentimental value to us. It was my sister in laws and she has since passed. Thanks Copart for the miss information! You are the worst auction place I’ve ever been a part of. Will DEFINITELY not ever recommend you!
My car was towed there and all the stuff to fix my car are gone the brakes rotors calipers my spyder gear 350 $ and my amplifier for my stereo all gone and they say they don’t go inside car or take anything all my stuff was stuffed inside the console it wasn’t like that at the shop where it was at terrible place to do business with a bunch of thief’s They even have video of my truck leaving with all my stuff still in it so where do my stuff go ???? Then I had to pay more money for storage fees while they ransack and steal my belonging I’m taking them to court immediately stay away from this place at all cost
My car was totaled and my insurance had it go to this place, well I went to finish cleaning out my car to see that they moved literally everything cleaning the car up when I wasn't even finished gathering my belongings. Come to find out that they took: all the change I had in my change drawer which also had a spare house and mailbox key that was no longer there, then the owners manual and papers from the dealership that have been in the glovebox since purchase were all gone, no idea why they were moved in the first place but they felt the need to put my other unimportant papers/junk in the glovebox instead. I will be calling when they open next to inquire about where the hell my stuff went, which this shouldn't even be an issue because MY PERSONAL BELONGINGS shouldn't have been touched in the first place until I was finished cleaning it out.
Nice new Copart facility. The major problem I noticed is the 90° turn transporters have to make picking up vehicles. I have been to every copart in Ohio, and this hands down has the worst entrance of all Coparts because the staff has decided not to let you in the main gate, to go around to the very spacious parking area. The small entrance is very tight and is not enough room for large trucks with trailers to swing the turn. If this matter is ever changed or addressed, I would give 5 stars. The staff didn't have a very good response to why they didn't allow people through the main gate. I just assume the people are new and have minimal to no experience.
