I've been going there for years, good vibes, great people and I always leave with more than I expected. I even had an experience one time that highlighted their eagerness to serve, problem solving with effectiveness and efficiency while still be aware enough to not damage your property. I once took my truck and trailer with a car on it admittedly overloaded. I made it about 3/4 of the way up the hill and slid backwards down to the bottom. Though I did have to walk a little bit, as soon as I let someone know I was stuck and needed help getting up to the top they said they'd send someone down. Before making it halfway down the hill the bobcat was already next to me, they were even thinking ahead enough to let me know they were going to push on the car not the trailer to avoid damage. Another time their systems went down (out of their control) and I had to wait till Monday to get my ticket cashed, not only did they still honor it and give me a little bit extra for the hassle they gave me a free shirt. It truly was a single freak event that never reoccurred. I've went to a bunch of different scrap yards to do business over the years but Perry county's definitely my number one go to. The only downside is the short time they're open every day, but like I said they're effective AND efficient. I will always highly recommend everyone whether I know them or not. Just don't try to take advantage of them. they got memories like an elephant they never forget and you'll have an entirely different experience than I do.
I needed some parts and live a few hours away, Marti was extremely helpful and met me after hours to pick up the parts. Definitely customer service you don't find often any more.
Be very careful when you bring in copper, I just lost half my bare bright that they dumped into number two and lost $700. I’ll agree that there was some number two in there, but not as much as I threw in that dumpster. If I known they were gonna do that. I never would’ve brought it here. People are friendly, but I think I just got hat. Other recycling centers I never had a question about the bar bright like I had.
Feels like an EXTREMELY unsafe business as I have witnessed on TWO separate occasions a white truck hauling a green trailer with metal not properly securing their scrap which resulted in huge pieces of scrap metal being flown out of the back of the truck. Please correct this issue as I was almost hit yesterday morning by this truck’s scrap metal.
They will tell you a prepared heavy metal price which is usually 35-45 percent less than muskingum iron and metal and which they will not pay you because I was informed by there foreman they don't pay prepared price because they are not set up to buy it .yes there local and yes there not the big big business but don't lie to your customers we don't mind you making a dollar but they will skin you I'd deal somewhere else
The owner and the guys that work there have always treated me with respect. I've had only one issue in the past and the owner was quick to resolve the issue. Will definitely continue to go there with my business
Terrible there sign says they close at1 pm on Saturdays I get there at 11:55 and they say we’re closed and turn me away when I had no gas to go anywhere and that was my only option to get money and on top of that my car broke down and I had to push it off the property. False advertising and rude employees
Got to watch them. They will give you prices for #1 copper when taking in bare bright. Almost .20 cents difference.

5 star baby best yard around duwwy in the steel yard is awesome and the guys at non ferrous are always helpful and the cashier lady is always nice and smiles every time and is way prettier than the last one they had
Drivers who are very dangerous I have video and a photo of the licence plate of a truck driving through Mansfield Ohio on lexington springmill a very high tragic area at high speeds well over speed limit and driving very close to the back of other cars the driver I viewed is going to hurt or possible kill someone !!!!!
