We’ve had a great experience working with Republic Waste Management. Mark and his team has been reliable, easy to work with, and always quick to respond. During a challenging time, they really stepped up and were flexible as our needs changed across multiple TJ Chumps locations. It’s been great having a partner we can count on to keep things running smoothly. Highly recommend!

Don’t even bother signing up for their alerts, they’ll tell you they’re delaying service by a day and then end up coming a couple hours later or they miss pick ups entirely. They actively charged me and the previous home owner who was a family member. And on top of that I have contacted them three times now, once online and twice over the phone to have the correct trash can size delivered to me andI’ve been told I would receive it. But I still have not yet. I have never had such poor service from a utility company in my life. I would not use them if I had another option. I’m not sure where the disconnect is between the call center and those who provide the service but it seriously needs to be figured out. You also can’t take any of the 5 star reviews seriously when they mention a Steve Atkinson, and the reviewers coincidentally also have the last name Atkinson. Seems like bias and asking people to leave false reviews.

I have to leave at least one star or Google won’t let me write a review, but if it were possible to leave a review with negative stars, I would give them a -4. Totally worthless. I get a text, a robocall, and an email telling me that my trash pickup will be delayed one day due to a holiday, then they show up on the regular trash day. Other times, on regular trash pickup day, they pick up half of the garbage cans on my street, then I get a text saying “due to unexpected delays your trash won’t be picked up until Monday.” Totally worthless. And the worst part is, because it’s my city’s trash collection provider I’m stuck with them and I have to pay! Would be better off just throwing the trash in the back of my truck and taking it to the dump myself.

Constantly have to deal with missed pick ups and then when you call and report it they say they will be out today! Well guess what? Still nothing. Your the worst company I have ever contacted. Your reps have no social skills and you can hardly hear them over all the noise in the background/in the line. Can you not afford to purchase these people a 30$ wireless noise canceling headset? You get my money on time every time... I wish I could say the same for my trash pick up!

They have not picked up my trash for two weeks in a row. Asking for it to be corrected results in NOTHING. Missing my pick up has happened several times and they NEVER correct it. Im dropping my accounts.

Our township canceled service with this horrible provider several weeks ago, at what should have been the end of our service period. 2 days ago I received an invoice for a third of what should have been our quarterly amount, with no explanation as to what it was for. We also still have two of their totes sitting at the end of our driveway which should have been picked up 2 weeks ago. When I attempted to call to get an explanation, I was placed on hold for 45 minutes only to then be told that because my husband's name was on the account they would /could not talk to me. Stay far far away!!

On 4/23 the recycling truck operating in the Riverside,Ohio is speeding In the neighborhood of Chesterfield Circle and Spinning Rd. Dumps his overfilled front loader, then lifts it into the compactor section, dumping most of the load onto the ground. Then speeds off, blows through a stop sign ( Failure to come to a complete stop) at the same corner dumping trash all over the street and trash blowing off the top of his truck for 4 blocks. HAPPY DAY AFTER EARTH DAY!!!!!

I can't schedule my bulk pickup online it says to call because it's more than 5-10 bags. I've been on hold for 40 minutes. I'm also trying the online chat, and it won't connect to an agent. Every time I call, it takes days, and I can't always talk to anyone.

RUN FROM THIS COMPANY!! I signed up for this service when I first bought my house at the end of December. I was given a quote that turned out to be totally false. I also went three weeks without service. I had to call multiple times because each week there was a new charge. I paid more than $300 over the course of two months “to start service”. I finally called and canceled two weeks ago when the “real bill” for next three months came in and it was fully twice what I was originally quoted. I was assured that the bill would not be collected and that I was fully canceled. They have since even picked up the bins. And guess what?!? They charged my bank account the full amount for the next three months even thought I’m no longer a customer, a fact that is proven by the website telling me I no longer have service. This was done on Saturday so I can’t even call to demand a refund until Monday. I am beyond furious and not confident that I will recover the money. Very shady practices by a totally dishonest company.

We used Republic Trash & Recycling for several years, but unfortunately, their service was quite inconsistent, and the pricing fluctuated greatly from month to month. Our previous provider charged us a fixed monthly rate. With Republic, we often experienced missed service, including a month where our recycling was not picked up at all, despite drivers claiming they had completed the task. Additionally, their communication about service delays was unreliable; they would inform us of a one-day delay, yet no one would show up. I felt like I spent countless hours on the phone trying to resolve issues with our service and billing. It became too much of a hassle to continue with them. Towards the end of our time with them, they significantly increased our rates, which prompted us to decide it was time to move on. When I contacted their customer service, it seemed they were accustomed to dealing with frustrated customers and were often unsympathetic to our issues. Obtaining credits for missed pickups was challenging, and when we did receive a credit, it was typically only a small amount.

Terrible service! Has not picked up in over two weeks. Not the first time this has happened. I understand the snow had an impact but to delay service this long is completely unacceptable. How can they possibly be on “on schedule” when they’ve delayed pick up for so long that they will undoubtedly have more trash/work. By this time, they have normally picked up in our neighborhood on at least one side of the street or our recycling but I haven’t heard or seen a truck in the neighborhood. We have had this happen before and had to schedule a time for them to come out and get it…they never showed.

My area has the best, most friendliest truck driver. There have been times when I go out just as he is coming to throw out a stinky diaper or some trash I missed. He just came through, and I had two full cans. I ran another bag out, and he dropped the bin for me to toss it in. He waved and smiled at me. The kids I babysit frequently run to the door to see and wave to him whether he sees them or not. I saw him get out of his truck to pick up some trash that had blown out of a can too. Other drivers might’ve just left it, but he didn’t. Yes, I’ve had a couple issues where pickup was missed, but for the most part, I do not have issues with my regular trash and recycle drivers. Please relay my appreciation.

I can not think of a single positive experience from this outfit. Whether it be missed pick ups, no shows for dropping off new bins, taking bins they shouldn't, leaving behind a trail of trash on the road as they collect. It is always one nightmare after the next it seems. Thanks to my city being locked in with these services I can't escape the incompetence until I sell my home and move away, at which time I will never look back.

If I could leave negative stars, I would. This is the WORST trash service I've ever used. We have biweekly recycling pick up, and they might actually pick it up once a month. Also, I just saw them putting our cardboard boxes, meant for recycling, in the trash truck today. We will be switching services as soon as they pick up this last load of recycling. I've had enough.

The services have always been subpar. Requested bulk item pickup, they failed to take it for 3 consecutive weeks even after I called every week to report they missed it. I finally just caught one of the truck drivers and he agreed to take it instead of waiting on the bulk item trucks to come and get it. I finally moved and called to cancel, thought everything was good. Month later I get a bill for the next cycle. They never canceled my services and the new owner set up services but all it did was update the billing address on my account to the new owners address. Republic told me I could cancel and would charge me to remove the containers and charge the new owners to re-deliver them even though the new owners had already set up services, which republic claimed they didn't even though their address was on my billing statement. This was clearly a mistake on their end and not myself or the new owners, and they refuse to take accountability for it. I'll be glad to finally be done with them. Much better service with Rumpke. Do better Republic.

The website has been inoperable for weeks, making it impossible for customers or service reps to accomplish even the most basic tasks. No timeline has been given, and there has been no postponement of when bills are due—truly the worst. I only have to use Republic Services because Huber Heights signed with them as an exclusive provider, but if given the choice between Republic Services and any other option, choose anywhere else!

They took the trash can and we had everything stacked neatly against it and when they lifted the van they sent everything scattered. The boxes can’t fit so they had to be out of the can. No one picked it up. We have had so many issues with them. We tried contacting someone…. No response!!!! You would think having a rating of 1.8 you would do something about it. UPDATE: Continuing to have issues to include bulk pick. FYI employees lie and said we didn’t break down boxes which we did. I’m not sure why people lie when so many homes have security cameras these days. Also, customer service over the phone provides wrong information. Since it was recycling they said they would take what’s in our recycling bin and the boxes outside of it. Well boxes are recycling and they said trash was supposed to take it when I called to complain that they didn’t pick it up. This company has a rating of 1.7 for a reason as we pay for a service you are not providing.

Moved to Huber Heights and we are little over one month here. Trash is always delayed. Our can sits more by the curb than it does behind the house where it should be. For example this week... We put the can out Monday night and it's Thursday morning and ours and many others are still here. Makes trash can stink real bad. Actually had to cancel the trash can clean service because when they show up the can is always full. Going to call Huber and see if we can change trash service... I only see republic around here so I am not sure we can. Anyway might cancel and run trash myself if needed. Much better than what service we are getting.

Republic Sucks. Y’all aren’t done collecting trash in Clayton and Englewood until July. Trash is piling up. You guys have done a terrible job for our community. Your drivers are whiney divas that cry about the trash cans being too far from the curb, your leadership obviously doesn’t know how bad your service is, and I imagine your employees need extensive training to be able to offer trash services worth charging money for. I can’t tell you all how many times I had to call to get them to actually come and get the trash I ALREADY PAID THE TO TAKE AWAY. If you are a city official considering contracting these jokers to service your town or city, DON’T! We had better service from Rumpke and Waste Management. Try contracting one of those two. Skip Republic. They Suck.

Republic took over the contract within the city where I live from WM. Service has sucked ever since. I think they hire drivers with cataracts or who are half blind, because they keep driving by my cans that are sitting at the curb. When it happened the first time, called the 800# 3 times for a pickup, and they still never showed up. Had to call the city and complain and they called them and they finally showed up the next day to pickup. I hope when their contract is up with the city, "that it isn't renewed! If I could have given them 'zero' stars I would!

Driver did not pickup our trash on the normal scheduled day, despite our bin being out well before he arrived. After multiple reports of missed pickup, I called the 800# provided. Was told by the rep that they would not be out until the next scheduled pickup day because the driver claimed our bin had not been out. I have video proof he was there and just didn't get our trash. Try to tell me again we didn't have our can out when he arrived...

Initially, it took me six phone calls to finally get a hold of someone who could help me set up new trash services. Then, I never saw containers, an invoice, or anything else. The first thing I received from Republic Services was a past due notice more than a month later. It took me more than half an hour on the phone while being passed to four separate people to cancel my account. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. No pun intended, but their service is trash.

Its a "fine-print" 3 year contract with hefty cancellation fees that renews into another 3 year term. It'll cost more than just owning a dump trailer if you're a small business and handy. They might show up on the scheduled days.. We had to call and ask for updates and/or report missed pick ups several times throughout our three years. Overall, the customer services reps have all been very pleasant (that's what earned them any stars) but the actual service was very disappointing. I've spent way too much time figuring out when our dumpster was going to be emptied for spending $170+ month. To cancel, we are required to mail a written notice by certified mail with a return receipt and finding the correct address or whom to address it to is nearly impossible. I've stopped searching to write this review.... Wish me luck on finding it.

We notified in June we were moving out. My next invoice indicated a $60 credit: Great! In August, I received a bill for $182 due to a non-pick up of the broken bins that had been on the property since before we moved in in 2018. The $182 was after our $60 credit was applied to the bill. It was $240 for the bins and fees and random other charges. I called and explained we no longer lived there, but worked out a pick up with the landlord. This occurred and was confirmed by the landlord on the date scheduled. When I called Republic to confirm, they said they would check and I should call back…so I can wait on hold again. No thanks. Last night, three weeks later, I get a recorded message saying I have an overdue bill. I call today, again, no indication on the account (that was supposed to have been checked three weeks ago) that the bins were picked up or not. I can call back in three days to see if it has been updated. I ask to speak to a supervisor. He doesn’t appreciate my exasperation with this time waste. But, he graciously offers to credit my account $182. He ignores me when I ask about the $60 they actually owe me. He is helping me out after all… Thanks, Republic. I told him he would not need to worry about me thinking I could get another credit again. We will go with another service if we ever move back to the area. Keep the $60. Unfortunately, I really don’t expect better service anywhere else. It is just the way it is.

Well, the saga continues. We have still not had any recycling pickup since we started services with Republic services. Friday, 25 Feb, would have finally been our first recycling pickup which for reasons that Republic services could not explain, they missed and said to leave it out on Saturday, 26 February. We left it out as instructed but there was no pickup and now we're closing the Monday work day. Moreover, our neighbors are starting to look at us oddly since we have left our recycling out so long. I spoke with Republic services again today and the representative on the phone was very friendly but still no clear answers on when they are going to come and complete this pickup. I feel bad for my neighbors who have to look at my recycling sitting out for so long. We were supposed to have trash and recycling bins delivered on 28 January. As of 12 February, we have received no bins or received any messages alerting us when our bins will actually be delivered. This experience has still had a fairly rough start, but all the bins were finally delivered on 15 February after we reached out through multiple channels.
