3 weeks ago I spoke with a young man who told me he would chare me 50 to diagnose an issue and then today it went up to 95 then he denied ever saying 50. Also tried to tell me 1 strut and 1 shock would cost over 800 before tax when the parts are under 200 together and each instal takes about 1 hr when ur experienced and if your not good at what u do it can take 2 hrs per part that'd 2 to 4 hrs but he wants to charge 6 hrs for labor If ur female just have a man call for you because they think were stupid and will pay whatever they claim and yet they completely forget the conversations u just had a couple weeks prior which was half the cost as well but then my parts weren't broke and today everything doubled all because my part was broke they thought I was desperate I guess. So never tell them anything is broke or it will be more like it just happened with me. When he gave me the quote this time as soon as he said over 800 before tax I didnt even say it was only 400 3 weeks ago I just said oh no and hung up. He denied ever talking to me when I confronted him about the diagnose fee going from 50 to 95 he denied it and said I must have talked to another shop when I have the proof in my phone we spoke for 5 mins amd 59 seconds Oct 20th and he still denied it i added the proof in the pic , So this owner is a very shady dishonest person so if ur a woman call and get a quote and then a week later have a man call and get that exact same quote and see what happens. He may not do it anymore now that ive made it know in this review but guarantee he slips up eventually. ALSO SOME REVIEWS ARE NOT TRUE CUSTOMERS THEY ARE FRIENDS/FAMILY GO FIGURE UPDATE FOUND ANOTHER REVIEW WHERE THEY DID TO ME TO SOMEONE ELSE. ALSO OCTOBER 20TH I CALLED ABOUT HAVING AN ELECTRIC ISSUE DIAGNOSED AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD DO IT AND YET THEY TOLD MWN WHO ASKED THAT THEY DONT DIAGNOSE ELECTRIC ISSUES WHICH IS PROOF THEY WAS GONNA SCAM ME FOR SOMETHING THEY DONT EVEN DO. LOOK INTO THE BBB AND OTHER SITES FOR REVIEWS ALSO HAVE TAKE PICS OF UR PARTS UR HAVING REPLACEMED THIS WAY IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG OR SOMETHING U HAVE PROOF IF IT WAS ACTUALLY DONE OR NOT . TAKE PICS OF DROPPING IT OFF AND OF THE PARTS UR HAVONG CHANGED AND WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE AT PIC UP. MAKE SURE UR NOT GETTING RIPPED OFF.

I brought my car in to be diagnosed for rough idling. (I want to say the man's name was Ali) was responsive from the START. The pricing for the repairs were cheap, he was very informative and detailed about what was wrong with my car and instructed me how to maintain the life of the car. I felt as if I were a student when he showed me my broken parts on a spare engine. I highly recommend coming here if you guys need your car repaired. It will be done efficiently and timely!

I’ve had my car running like new for 12 years. But I was on my way to Dayton when the engine light started flashing at me. I called this shop to see if they could get me in last-minute. They fixed the engine misfire, took it for a test drive, and noticed other issues. They sent me a video of how bad my front right axle was, and motor mounts that were falling apart. Ali said, “Your axle was holding on by a prayer.”
This auto repair shop practically saved my life. I take great care of my car, so I was so surprised to hear this. If I hit the wrong bump, my front right tire would have popped off. And this would have happened on the highway more than likely when I would have driven it home. If it wasn’t for these guys, I may not be here today. My car could have flipped with that bent axle and I could have been a goner. I cannot recommend these gentlemen enough. They take care of their customers.
If you have an older car; chances are they won't help you. I called in about my '96 Caddy, I had a few issues that weren't engine related. The man on the phone asked "Does that have a Northstar?" I replied yes, and he very rudely told me to take my business elsewhere. I needed some shocks fixed and an O2 sensor, but they just flat out refused to work with me. Very rude people.
Fantastic experience at DJ auto repair. I noticed a flap loose at the bottom of the car wanted to get it checked out and DJ auto repair was the only place open on Saturday. No appointment I stopped by and was helped immediately. In 20 minutes they found a creative solution to what could’ve been a big problem down the line that could have risked damage to the hybrid engine. I will definitely be back for any future car troubles
Everyone else I called quoted me twice the price and I was going to have to wait 3 days to get my car looked at. They got me in the same day at a great price. I plan to go to Djs anytime I have a car issue. Update: ended up being electric issue on a car I got 3 months ago. Ali was so kind and fixed my car for a fraction of what I would have had to pay somewhere else. He gave me super useful information too. Great guy.
I had good experience with DJ Auto repair. I had missed fire issue with my car, I took it to few other shops and they weren’t sure to figure it out. However, DJ were able to diagnose the vehicle accurately, and I was charged with reasonable price. I would recommend it to everyone.

Story time..... So my coworker and I broke down Friday trying to get to work my hole radiator hose broke off so my car was over heating I went to grismer tire in Dayton and they came out with an estimate of $718 ! Just for a radiator hose . Ridiculous ! So we went back to my coworkers house which wasn't far and her boyfriend knew the guy who works at this shop ! Nyaz I believe ! And I walked out of their only paying $248! They were so friendly ! I told Nyaz that I will definitely be coming to him for anymore issues! I would recommend this place to everyone who needs any repairs done ! Great service and great pricing !

The Owner Ali and his Father had me in and out in no time to replace my brakes, no appointment needed! They were both super nice and very professional and to boot the price was $250 cheaper than what the local Goodyear quoted me for! Ali is the best most knowledgeable mechanic I have ever met, not to mention he is also kind, professional, and does his best to accommodate my needs. I needed a new side view mirror on my daughter's car. Ali called and retrieved a mirror from a Cincinnati junkyard and replaced the mirror before 12 noon. Then I had to go him again for a different issue. The dodge dealership said it would take a week and $2,000 to repair my heat. Ali diagnosed and fixed it in less than 2 hours. Months later still working fine. He charged me 100. He is my mechanic forever for every car.
My 2003 Toyota Avalon was down from high RPM issues. I gas 2 other mechanics work on my car. I'm so glad I found Ali over at DJ Auto! My baby is driving quiet again. The price was affordable and service was fast! He is definitely the Avalon Doctor! Highly recommend!

DJ's Auto on North Main has changed not for the better. The owner is polite and respectful. For the past 2 years I had been getting my car serviced here and the prices were reasonable, I had no complaints until recently. In June I had front brakes and rotors put on. I brought my own parts the price was reasonable, I had a tuneup or 4 sparkplugs replaced and was charged $165 just for sparks replacement. I wasn't prepared to pay that much in which I have never paid that much for a tuneup at any shop when I provided my own parts. On a good note the owner told me not to worry about it since I didn't have enough money.After a week my brakes kept squealing. I took my car back to let him hear the loud squealing. He drove the car with me as a passenger and swore he couldn't he the noise. 2 weeks later the squealing is louder, he told me both times it's nothing and I shouldn't worry about it. I told him I didn't want to drive around with my brakes squealing that loud , he said it probably was something so minor that I shouldn't worry about nor waste my time or money getting the job done over. This past Saturday I went to Tire Discounters an employee was outside heard my brakes as I pulled in and immediately said you have a serious brake or rotor problem.I called DJ's the owner told me to bring my car in when I can. I had my car taken there yesterday and the owner admitted the brakes were defected but I don't believe it because I buy my brakes from AutoZone whenever I need them and have never had a problem. Then the owner said he usually charges $125 for brakes but will only charge$80 when had he checked the problem out back in June when he did the work and I told him the problem wouldn't be this bad now the brakes have probably grinded up my new rotorsDJ's has just lost a customer due to negligence, poor advice and now greed
When I say the mechanics in here are so skilled! I got my Kia about a year ago. This shop is the only shop I go-to for everything. They are very kind and informative going through the entire process. They do full diagnostics that come free when you use them for their services. If you get a diagnosis, it’s still very reasonable. From start to finish, they will communicate with you. DJ’s Auto is about the best shop I’ve been to. This shop is worth every penny you spend with them. Anything significant they can do and take their time to do it right. I’ve never had to go back for a repeat job, and they fix it right the first time around. The owners are very down to earth.

This is how I know for a fact these guys do not run up the price and do a good job! My car was leaking gas so I brought it to them they looked at it and told me that it was going to be a pretty big job in that it would be $500 that I had to bring 200 of it for a deposit so I brought them the $200 and they begin the work well that was on a Friday they called me on Monday and told me that the job was less than they thought it was going to be and that it would only cost me the 200 that I put down for the deposit not the 500! These guys could of charged me 500 and I never even would of questioned them twice. A week later my car did it again and I brought it back in and they fixed it for free. Just found me a new shop and you should too.
