owner seems to be a lot more willing to do business than before and to be honest I like what he's done with the place since taking over,
HOWEVER I still do not like that a verbal agreement had been broken and that just isn't good business.
integrity is standing by their word even if bad oversight was used in a business deal.
Dude at the payment station was pretty cool. Seemed he had a personality when comparing to the man weighing the scrap he seemed to have no emotion didn’t seem to be in a good mood
Came here on a Saturday and there staff was completely helpful and wonderful and very fair with there prices i definitely recommend coming here nice. People and very polite
They were a little short staffed for a Saturday. That was okay though because the hospitality made up for it. I definitely recommend Miami as first choice.

New owner is rude and went back on his word when we had struck a deal on something. Just moved back here after two years and disappointed to see the same guy still owns it. Big liar.
Came in with a big uhaul truck of metal weighed in then weighed out handed 12 dollars said nope spoke to the owner then handed a 100 dollar bill when I go to Franklin usually get upwards to 200-250 never again
They Sold me a bucket for my tree trimming truck at a great price! They were courteous and easy to deal with, and helped me find the best solution for the money. Would highly recommend to buy anything they advertise to sell!
Don't waste your time go to Franklin Iron and Metal. This place will rip you off. Service is not any good will barely talk I guess that is from ripping you off. I will never go back. The old owner was nice and fair.
Very friendly , one of the best paying prices around for your scrap metal and copper. I like that I don't have to worry bout driving in and getting nails in my tire , they keep it very clean . Never had any issues here and will continue to come to Miami Valley Metal Recycling.
Valley Street is now the only scrap yard in Dayton that will allow you to walk up and sell your metals! One thing I didn't like was the fact that they're not open at all on Monday...
Always friendly , the new owner is a very nice guy and the prices of metal and cooper is one of the highest I know. Love the place and how they really cleaned it up
Place was sold within the last year and it’s a shame I’ve been going here for years and after getting screwed for a third time I will take my buisness elsewhere. The owners are total thieves running the place now! ownership is terrible they will screw your out on your weight if you don’t watch closely… also the lady at the window robbed me 30 dollars short and my buddy the following week when he went in. Also will try and tell you your metal is dirty and not clean enough so they can cut you out on price so they can profit more… total bull I’ve been scrapping for years. Sorry I gave you guys three chances and all the guys at work that come in once a month said they are done also!
The owner is a super nice guy once you have a rapport with him. I'm sure he's had to deal with less than great folks over the years. He was nice to my kids and didn't try and screw them over when they sold their collected pop cans.
Receiving staff are not the friendliest customer service people I have met. They didn't separate my scrap to get a better price on some items (not the first time either). Checked other scrap yards later on, prices seem to be a little higher elsewhere. Will not be going back there
The guys there are really nice and they help in any way possible. I will never go to a different yard because these guys have treated me so well. Thank you valley metal. You're awesome
Nice enough guys that work here. My biggest issue is having to drive to the scale. There is clutter everywhere and it's hard to maneuver if you have a big truck. I'm hoping I didn't pick up a nail in my tire.
