These kinda people are hard to find anymore they are honest, trustworthy, kind people and will go the extra mile just to help you! I can’t recommend this place enough.
HORRIBLE PLACE TO TAKE YOUR VEHICLE! I took my dodge ram 1500 there to replace a transfer case and they had my truck for over 3 weeks and as soon as we got it back I was getting a service the 4 wheel drive light blinking on my dash. Then not 3 months later the one they put in went out again. Not only did they charge me over $3,200 to put in a new one but come to find out they put a used one in my truck! The mechanic there is incompetent and didn't even know that my truck doesn't have a standard transmission it has a bigger one for the higher tow package. So they agreed to put in another one at no cost. Not only did they have my truck for another 2 weeks to put in a new one but when I got my truck back I noticed the battery wasn't the same one that was in my truck when I gave it to them to fix. I called the owner Tom and he proceeded to ask the mechanic about it and was told that they had to put a jumper box on my battery so they took it out to jump it which isn't really necessary to remove it to jump it. I know that wasn't true because I had just bought that battery the previous year and had a 5 yr warranty on it. I was told to bring it back and they'd make it right. So I took my truck back and the mechanic stood right in front of me across the desk and blatantly admitted that he sold MY battery to another customer and they put a used one back that was from 2016. It leaked battery acid all over my battery terminals and all down the sides of the battery they put in. Now after standing there hearing the mechanic admit to stealing my battery and selling it to someone else, the owner Tom accused me of trying to get over on them. They now want to give me another used battery that isn't my own. I want the battery I sent my truck there with originally. They didn't bother to give me any receipts for any of the work but we spent over $7,000 with them last year and they think we want to rip them off over a $200 battery? This shop is a rip off and the mechanic is an idiot and doesn't even know what the hell he's doing. I will never take another car to them ever and I will be filing a theft charge for my $200 battery that was stolen out of my truck and sold to someone else for them to profit off of. They do bad business and will rip you off! I also noticed they went thru everything in my truck and things weren't where I left them which they had no reason to even be inside my truck as the transfer case is underneath the truck! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THIEVES WORK HERE! DONT TAKE YOUR VEHICLES HERE YOU WONT GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR AND IF YOU HAVE ANY ISSUES WITH THEIR WORK THEY ACCUSE YOU OF TRYING TO RIP THEM OFF!
Tom at A And D auto parts took extra care of me on an engine that was faulty even though it was out of warranty. I had hurt my back and needed surgery and couldn't complete the job within the warranty period. Tom is a stand up man in my opinion... Thanks again Tom
I pulled in because my low tire pressure light was on. I asked if they could check and find out which one and fill it. Turns out all 4 had low pressure, he filled them up, and brought my car back to me. I don't think I waited even 10 minutes. I asked him how much, he said it's just air, don't worry about it.
Finding a mechanic that is good and trustworthy, not nickle and diming every person that walks in, is a rare find.

I was going on a road trip in a few days and my car needed a headlight. For my car the whole bumper has to come off for the headlight to go in. They got the part for my car and put it on quickly! They were nice and polite. I would definitely recommend A & D Auto Parts and Repair.

If you want to save money in Toledo the cheapest prices in town on auto parts are at A&D salvage at the corner of Alexis and Detroit. Their service is also top notch with nothing missed. A&D and their team is a great place to get a tow for your car repair. I ran into transmission problems with my vehicle and Tom the owner was able to tow my car to the shop and repair it by the next morning!
Excellent staff. Had a transmission installed in my Tahoe at a fair price no issues. Also they replaced passenger side axel. They have excellent service a great staff and fair prices.

bad bad bad i bought a wiper motor for a 2005 ford escape here and brought it home and it did not work. they would not replace it or refund my money. terible customer relations the owner tom said i was trying to rip him off. is all i wanted was to replace the part or return my money. i bought a brand new one from rock auto .com new for $10 more than a&d s used one. do not shop here they are bad bussiness

A&D Auto Parts and Repair really saved the day for us. We were traveling from Michigan back home when our car was on the verge of breaking down. Luckily we ran into this repair shop and got some help. Even thought they were about to close shop for the day, they took our van into the back and quickly looked at it and fixed our tire. Turns out, if we went a little further our tire would have fallen off, and they were quick to catch the issue. They took our car in the back and just fixed the tire and didn’t even charge us anything. Without them we wouldn’t have made it home. Their kindness and expert skills helped us a lot that day and we will forever thank them! The staff were very kind and friendly. If you are looking for an honest and skillful auto repair shop, A&D is the place to go!
We came in from Minnesota to race at Toledo and unfortunately got in a bad pile up. One tow truck tried to help get it fixed but failed. The wrecker crew from A&D stayed long after the races were over and helped us pull the front frame straight enough to get the car on the trailer. Great people! Thank you
Was in contact with this place for an engine for several days. Was told that as a business, we could write a check. Drove two and a half hours to pick up the engine only to be told they can't accept a check. Offered to do credit card through business, which they also wouldn't accept. Continuously demanded cash, after telling us they could do otherwise. Acted very shady about the whole ordeal, which as I see other reviews, leads me to believe they are trying to cut reported profits by cash transactions only.
My mom got her car fixed here they were very nice and the prices were great and they didn't treat her any different just because she's a woman like most shops do they didn't try to sell her on stuff she didn't really need and this made me very happy to know. We will definitely be sending people to them for automotive repairs. Thank you for being an awesome group of people that's not easy to find nowadays.
Had a motor replaced in my jeep which was under warranty. They truly stand by their work and did a excellent job with my vehicle. Tom is very fair and goes out his way to make customers happy. I would recommend this shop to anyone who needs their services.
If I could give them 0 stars I would! Took my car there for an issue, they tried to say I had more issues than the one I originally had. Which was a lie, then tried to over charge me when I said I didn’t want them to fix anything but the issue I originally went there for. On top of it all a small dent was found on my car that wasn’t there before and my heat didn’t work! Never had a problem with my heat before I came there! Don’t go there, especially if you don’t know about cars!
Due to COVID My Painting company business has slowed considerably, consequently I've taken a position as a pizza delivery driver to make ends meet in my painting van, this is how i met Tom and his nephew of A&D Parts and repair, delivering pizza. My van needed extensive work shifter, all power steering replacement, blown out serpentine belt, parking brake wouldn't release not to mention odds and ends i noticed they didn't charge for. The best part they charged a fraction of my previous estimate from another shop. This is a good Family and Good Honest People.
I cannot stress enough how amazing the staff was here!! Even though I did not personally make a purchase, they made the experience great. I am part of a community outreach program through Mercy and Toledo Fire which helps people in need of various services. Without going into too much detail, we had a family in need with a disabled car that was due to be towed/impounded in less than 12 hours. If this were to happen, the family would be without their sole means of income which would obviously only make a bad situation worse. With very short notice, we asked the staff at A & D Auto to possibly tow the vehicle to where they are living to at least give them a chance to get the vehicle repaired and get back on their feet. With next to no hesitation, they agreed to help this family out of the kindness of their hearts!! And while my partner and I were inside waiting to talk, there were about 4-5 happy customers that had come in and found exactly what part they were looking for out of their expansive inventory. Prices seemed extremely fair and everyone was very friendly and straightforward without any hassling or haggling prices involved. If you are in need of a part or auto services, PLEASE give them a call or stop by for a visit!!
This is my place of choice for over 10 years. I have never had a problem with my car, they could not repair. The people are very conscientious and friendly. The prices are great and I have never had a complaint with work performed there. They have a very high work ethic and stand behind their work. I have never returned to have a repair corrected. A & D Auto Parts is second to none.
I had several issues with my van that I could not figure out. I do most of my own work.. I knew I had to bring it to a professional. A&D properly diagnosed and repaired my van. In addition to replacing the computer they fabricated a cover so it would not happen again. Thank you for going the extra mile for my protection. I would recommend A&D to anyone thanks for being honest and totally fair with the price.
A & D truly go out of their way to offer great service. Their price was only a fraction of what the 'big guys' wanted to charge me. In my case they had to search high and low for the part I needed, and didn't tack on any 'commission' or delivery fee for the part. Their lead mechanic was constantly updating us on the status of our vehicle, and was very thorough, even driving the car, resetting the computer, and driving it again to make sure it was the right part in question. He even answered questions about my breaks, that I originally thought they were bad, but assured me they were still in good shape.
Overall, the auto dealer who sold me the car recommended A&D Auto, Internet chose them as one of the top recommendations, and the BBB gives them an excellent rating as well. I as well, have to add MY OWN RECOMMENDATION for those seeking a trustworthy place to take your car for maintenance or repairs. -You're safe with A&D Auto.
