Seriously great! Found what I wanted on car-part.com, called to verify it was there and was given the option to pay online or in person. The part would be pulled in a day or 2. I stopped in, paid and they were extremely kind. Got a call 2 days later it was ready, picked it up and was done.

Don’t let customers go into the salvage yards to see potentional project cars people could get. Saying “Injury could happen” is an excuse. I’m a 16 year old Male looking for a cheap, reliable car, and I don’t just want to buy parts. I want to buy entire or partial units. this is the closest junkyard and just think these policies to car enthusiasts and teenagers is kind of extreme. also, a partial car door is 200 Bucks?! you would be making over 18,000 a day on that. That is ridulous. there are tons of people wanting to preserve unique cars and blocking them from doing that is stupid. I was looking for a 2001 pontiac aztek I could get for like 600 Bucks. a single part costs over 100. That is stupid. I bought machinery from another place in Allendale and I got an idustrial electric motor from a 1000T for just 30. Do not reccomend this place. People here are very rude and only care about profits. Do not reccomend.
Very Bad Customer Service. Mr. Al Hizer was very disrespectful and unprofessional even as a repeat customer. Was called names and belittled for being younger. Gave them the part number, axle code, axle ratio, and production date of vehicle and Al Hizer still failed to get the correct part and when confronted about it I was told to "shut up" and proceeds to hang up after texting me to call him to fix the issue. This place is absurd and don't recommend doing any business with them. I have no problem paying for a new part that is correct but not when being disrespected. Seems to always be having a crabby day
The Problem is not the wrong information I gave you as I take full blame but to be treated so poorly and clearly by other reviews quite often maybe a staff problem you should look into. I take accountability for my accident. Once again though you act like I make this up about how I was treated. Being told to shut up must be professional for you. Multiple reviews states you guys have a argumentive and nasty interactions. So to say you're employees are not doing that is so funny

Affordable prices on their parts and even offer a warranty on them. Most auto recyclers do t do this....yes, it's an extra cost but it's definitely worth it.
DROVE TWO HOURS TO GET THE PARTS ALREADY PREPAID FOR 810 DOLLARS. GET IT BACK TO SHOP AND FOUND OUT IS THE WRONG PART. THE SALESPERSON ADMITED THAT IT WAS HIS MISTAKE BUT DID NOT GIVE ANY CREDIT OR EVEN TO SAY HE WAS SORRY. AS A BUSINESS OWNER I TRY TO NEVER LEAVE A BAD REVIEW. HOWEVER A SIMPLE APPOLOGY AND A 100 DOLLAR CREDIT FOR 4 HOURS OF EXTRA DRIVING (GAS AND DRIVER) WOULD HAVE GONE A LONG WAY.
On Tuesday of this week, I called to see if they had a rim to fit my truck. Heather told me, yes they did and sent me a picture of it. Within 10 -15 minutes of the initial call, I had paid for it and then yesterday, Wed, I got a message that it was ready to pick up. Today, Thursday, I went to their shop and Heather even met me at the dock and personally handed the rim to me. I must say, this was exceptional service and both ladies working in the office were very cordial and made my experience well worth the trip.

OK place to get parts. But need to explain to customers that parts have to be paid ahead of time. Then pulled the next day not same day. Customer service over the phone needs improvement big time.
Friendly people fast deliveries. Have received a high percentage of Unusable parts that should Not have been inventoried.
Favorite was the transmission that was burned to a crisp in a car fire. Electrical connections and controls Melted.
Was shrink wrapped, and tagged with words (Tested, Good). Similar stuff happened many many times. Risky.

Heather went above and beyond anyone would expect. Due to knee surgery I couldn't load my truck with the ford edge door I purchased Heather said no problem , when I return to pick up the door she said stay in your truck and call her. She had someone load it for me then Brough out the reciept to me. Didn't have to leave my vehicle! She's awesome!
I was supposed to get a rim with a tire. He tells me he never promised me a tire with the rim but the last thing he said to his guy was get the best tire with the rim. This guy charged me $53 for a 15" rim!! Then told me he' d charge me 25% if I got my money back. Real Crook. Don't Recommend this place!
Al and everyone here are very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the engine I bought wouldn't work in my truck but Al was true to his word and didn't hesitate to refund my money. I would call Al again for used parts. The yard is very organized too, a very well run business.
Very rude and argumentative, when I asked if they had a part for a specific vehicle they had listed online she said yeah but it’s three day wait for it to be taken off the car and then when I asked her to confirm the part number that was on listed Car-Part.com she told me it’s the only one that they have on the shelf for that year vehicle, instead of confirming part number. Then I asked is it on the shelf. Very rude terrible customer service. I asked to speak to the boss and she said she was the manager. She hung up on me.
I needed an engine for my work van. Al gave me great service. The price was fair for a great low mileage engine. The best part was; when the shipping company had an issue, al stepped in and took care of it. I am so grateful there are companies like this still around. Highly recommend and will use again.
Called westwood and spoke with AL, got a great deal on the engine I needed with shipping and it was practically here the next day. SUPER FAST SHIPPING. Runs perfectly. No issues what so ever. Highly recommend this place for used/salvage auto parts. Will do business with again, and refer friends. I have little doubt that if i had any issues whatsoever, Al would have taken care of me. The place is really busy when I call, and got put on hold a lot, but I was always taken care of and treated like the only one when I finally talked to Al. Email questions were answered quickly. My only problem is I don't live closer.
The lady behind the counter, Julie, is so rude and unprofessional. The way she speaks to people in such a dismissive and condescending tone all the time makes me believe that she must really hate her life! It also makes me believe that if she were a bit nicer overall, this business would have happier people working for them and better reviews. Might be a dirty job but it doesn't give you an excuse to have an ugly attitude.
Ordered a 94 Honda Accord 4 speed auto trans off ebay, coming out of the Ohio location While the price & shipping time were both reasonable, I was annoyed to find the connector clip for the lower servo pair pulled off. Not such a big deal, except the end of the harness missing the clip was conveniently out of frame in both pics taken from an angle showing the servos. Yes, it was on me to catch that detail, but still, it gives me cause to wonder what else might be amiss with the unit. Odd how the shot is centered juuuust far enough to the left that the missing clip issue doesn't show. the other shot which should've depicted the damage is similarly framed. Trans is probably just as stated in the description & in good working order, Felt a little disingenuous to me, though. Better disclosure would've netted you more stars & a kinder review. Food for thought...
Very impressed with this company. I was stuck last and couldn't find the transmission for my car as none were available for my car in Canada being a 25 year old vehicle that wasn't a popular model. I searched in the US and find this company, they were able to help me out with everything and had a used transmission for me. They were all very helpful. Thanks to Jacob and Stan for their efforts and big thanks to the manager Julie, who was able to help finalize everything for me to pick up the transmission close to the border! I have decided after much consideration to take down a previous negative review until I get all of the proper information. I do not want to miss inform anyone about my experience at Westwood Auto. What was important to me was the fact that Julie responded so quickly to my negative response. It is very important when people listen to one another and are willing to make things right. That meant a lot to me and before I give a negative review that can possibly affect a business oh, I would like to make sure that my assessment is correct.
Called up looking for a wheel for my Mom's 2001 PT Cruiser. They did not have one in stock, but said they could order one for me from their Lansing facility. The service was great, and the price was very fair...even better that what I could find on eBay. Would highly recommend.
The only thing I can really say about this place is just how negative of an experience I had with the same woman working behind the counter. I've been here 3 times, and all 3 times she was so incredibly rude. Very short with me, then when she mis-spoke, raised her voice at me like I had done something wrong. So buyer beware; you may leave with the part you wanted, but there's a good chance you'll be in a worse mood than when you walked in.
I have multiple vehicles, both domestic and foreign, and have been doing business with Westwood Auto Parts for a couple of decades now. They have an unbelievable inventory that is exceptionally well-managed and organized. I can always find exactly what I need through Westwood. If they don't have a particular item in stock (rarely the case), they will locate the part(s) quickly. Great pricing and exceptional service is why they are the only auto parts source I ever consider.
