What clients say about LKQ Pick Your Part - Toledo in Toledo (OH)
Please make sure you have your title notarized they do not tell you that when the tow truck pick your vehicle up. I will advise you if you don't have it notarized have your vehicle towed at that time or they will charge you for a dry run which is 65.00 off what they offered to take your vehicle.
DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. If you want to call and ask a question its a recording telling you to check the site. But WONT let you talk to anyone live to ask a question. It also tries to use your area code from the phone you use to judge where you should look, but again wont connect you just tells you to go online. I don't want a part i want the whole car and i cant get a hold of anyone and I'm not driving 150 miles to find out. I guess they just don't want anyone's money. DO NOT GO HERE
So I've never be there but heard great things. But at 5:45 in the morning they start working. I live right next to them. I get woken up early every morning. They are slamming parts, smashing things, and who knows what else. I have 3 little kids who need to sleep. It's called courtesy! And I'm sure the noise ordinance is like 7am.
Only bad part is they strip cars before they hit the lot. They should post the pics of cars after parts are off. Twice I went to get a bumper the same day they posted car and half the parts were gone. It just an annoying thing to me. I lowered my rating because of this point.
Depends on what you are going there for.. trying to find a specific part is probably hit or miss... finding stuff for resale its decent as long as you get there when vehicles are put on lot after a couple hours all the hyenas (like me) will have already stripped the vehicles of everything useful
Every time I call them they would hang up the phone for no reason. they will will put you on hold and will not even let you know. Waste of time. Vander Haag's check them out, London Ohio is the best.
Anytime they have the part that we need - this the yard to go. Absolute best yard I've ever been inside. Their site isn't the greatest unless you use a Vin decoder as search doesn't completely work online. Organization in the yard makes this Numero uno though.
Nice place I especially like how they have a bathroom and a place to wash your greasy hands after getting your parts. Would be 5 star review but prices keep going up lately
Great place, and to be honest, They are alot better, more cleaner and nicer and way more organized then Cherry Picked Auto Parts, also just Today, I learned that they are starting to keep inventory on all the parts that are taking off the vehicles so when you call or ask, they will be able to till you if the parts are still in the car or not. That's what the lady there today told me anyways. Cherry picked has just went to whatever latley it seems like. I heard someone else is the owner now tho so maybe that's why idk. But at LQK, they are nice and again, they keep their stuff nice clean and organized and the rows numbers and give you a print out where all the cars are, which row, and isle. I like LQK way better then CherryDicked, it cost 2 dollars to get in, but way worth it.
$2 entry fee is lower than their Dayton,Ohio location. The customer service was excellent and the yard wasn't busy in the early afternoon. The cars were off the ground for ease of access to wheels, suspension, and brake parts. The vehicles still appeared to have a good selection of parts available. One small inconvenience is they have started having customers document what parts are taken from which vehicle in the yard by them.
Inventory is false. I checked the website to confirm they had the part I needed and it stated that it did. I called the day of pick up to confirm price of the part I wanted and the employer confirmed they had the part on the car and quoted me a price. Last, upon arrival I checked in and was printed off a ticket of where the vehicle was to pick the part from. I had to pay $2 just to walk in the lot. Finally arrived at the vehicle to pick the part and there was no bumper on the car. How disappointing that they don't have an up to date inventory. I drove 40 mins since this was the only salvage yard that had the year make model I needed. I went to the front office to tell them that there's no bumper on the vehicle which they advertised online and in store but they acted like they didnt care. Poor customer serivce. If you can, use a different company.
1st time coming here everything was well organized, people were friendly, parts were affordable. The only issue I had Was trying to get the old part off the old car. I had a lot of issues trying to get the part off ,but I got it! I will be back for further parts.
Horrible prices. You can buy new for almost the same price and go online to places like ebay for less and you dont have to mess with pulling it. Had a 30 yr old radio in my hand - anyplace else is $10; they had it north of $52 by the time they added their absurd prices to a half dozen fees. Not worth the gas to go here. I wont be back.
Very organized and easy to access what you need. However, I fix cars All day every day! Went in and got a fuel pump sending unit and the fuel line was larger so went into exchange it. I couldn't find the receipt and the guy who sold me the part didn't mark it!! They didn't have one that fit, I didn't want the 8.00 back only to exchange and I was told that I had to have the receipt no problem! My problem was that they didn't mark it!!! As a mechanic I go to junkyards on a regular basis. And to basically be treated as I stole an 8.00 part really irritated me!!! Especially when I took the fuel pump out in front of them the day before and the guy who sold me it was working! I will not be back there!!! Business is business, but do your damn job correctly!!! Lost a lot of sales over 8.00.
Excellent selection can look for part online before you go. Good prices. Sharon is the bomb lioness there and handles it in her sleep. Great place to buy parts. On main holidays its half price too.
Went there for wheels. Was told they were $18.50 a wheel and $5 a wheel to have them debeaded. Come to find out they gave me tire prices and suddenly the price went up because some of their employees don't know the difference between a wheel and a tire. Wound up paying $180 for 4 wheels the same day cherry picked was doing 4 wheels for $100. The yard is drier and more organized than cherry picked, but their customer service and ownership of mistakes sucks.
Absolutely will not go back here ever again. Went in to get tires but they didn't fit. Went back in not even an hour later and they completely ripped me off. They wouldn't let me exchange the tires but have let me before. If you can't be consistent and appreciate your paying customers who always go to your business you shouldn't own a business. Absolutely not professional especially when you laugh at your customer. I lost $100.00 and I hope this review makes you lose thousands. Especially Carol, Leanne and Jason.
The manager here is a Psycho, there’s no other way to put it accurately. I’ve came here for the past 3 years and never had a problem. Today all that changed. I came in to return a hood that I never used, even had my receipt of course. I got that sense immediately Jeff didn’t want to hassle with a return. He refused my return on account there was no mark on the hood (the employees are supposed to put a mark on all the parts they sell in case of return).
The hood was only $50, and I came from 50 miles away in Findlay. It’s not about the money, it’s about returning a part I did not use within the 30 day allowable period.
Jeff (the inept manager) asked where the mark was. I calmly told him I do not know, perhaps they didn’t mark the hood, as they have forgotten to mark things in the past. After he became noticeably frustrated and said he would t return it, I asked him what my responsibility as a customer is when it what not my job to mark it. He then insisted I was being rude and told me to leave.
If you want shady customer service with people that just don’t understand customer service, then go here. Otherwise, go to Cherry Picked instead.
If you buy a door with a mirror attached you will get charged for that mirror unless you remove it.
If you buy a quarter panel you will get charged for the wheel well, unless you remove it. Other than that it's a good place to find the parts you need.
Wanted 35 bucks for a ford explorer center console. Employees were very personable. Husband, who has been to many pick your parts yard, says that it has a small selection. And a fair variety of vehicles.
Cheap and a good selection! The only negative is they should rent golf carts with small trailers, some of the vehicles are far away! Lugging tools in a wheel barrow sucks!
Yard is clean, well organized and easy to navigate. The inventory is usually up to date. The only vehicle I've had any issues finding good parts for is my 1998 F-250, those trucks get stripped as soon as they are in. Everything else I've looked for I have had success getting. The yard even has loaner cherry pickers, heavy duty wagons and wheel barrows to make getting parts back to your vehicle easy.
STAY AWAY if wanting to sell your vehicle! They will set up a time with you but not show up over and over again. Cost me an additional $88 before I called a reputable company to come get our car
Their prices are within 10-20% of NEW online prices - shipped. I can go on ebay and get the same-better used parts shipped to me for less $. Not worth the hassle of crawling in mud for grossly overpriced parts. Cherry Picked (among half dozen others) beats them badly on prices. Then they add some absurd con 'core charge' or 'environmental fee' to jack it again. Goes well with the tacky $2 entry fee. Probably need it to keep the doors open.
I wont go there again.
Great friendly people at the counter and in the Yard. The yard fee is $2 to walk the yard and see what is there. Just remember, just like the slots, you pay your money and you take your chances...They do have an online inventory that is very accurante and this is by far the nicest, cleanest, friendliest you pull yard I have ever been to. Plenty of room to work on cars, stone everywhere, very and I mean VERY clean and organized. Lot of great cars to choose from.
Very clean atmosphere!! And the people were EXTREMELY nice!!! Awesome prices, wayyy better then cherry picked auto parts where you're walking through mud and the employees are behind glass and very rude. Would recommend to everybody!!
