Friendly, helpful staff was ready when I arrived for the appointment, and he helped load it, in the cold rain! Setting the pickup time was super-simple. Good communication throughout the sale. I highly recommend doing business with them and will definitely be back. Great resource for Super Duty owners. Quality parts, plenty of inventory, and very good prices. American Auto Wrecking is absolutely terrible to deal with. They’ll gladly take your money, but once you try to get answers about your shipment, they completely ghost you. No calls returned, no emails answered—just silence. On top of that, the whole process feels like a scam. They steal from you with false promises and then disappear when you need support. Save yourself the headache and take your business somewhere else—there are plenty of honest companies out there that actually stand behind what they sell.
BUYER BEWARE!! I hope this post will prevent another buyer from being taken by these THIEVES. If I could give negative stars, I would. My father ordered a motor for his work truck. They wouldn’t ship the order until payment was received in full. Was very responsive until they received his money. Once money was received they’ve screened his calls and completely ignored him. He had to borrow money to get a replacement engine for his work truck and now he is out his money and his work truck. This is a SCAM! They request payment via Zelle or Venmo so you have no grounds to argue payment and you will never receive the parts you’ve ordered. They are thieves, taking advantage of honest hardworking people and deserve to be investigated by local authorities. based on the various reviews I’ve read other people have had the same experience as my father. BUYER BEWARE!!
I bought a ford 7.3 power stroke engine wired $2950 it never shipped. Now they block calls Do not do business with this company. I called the Lorain police dept.they said they get calls on them all the time but they can’t do anything. Don’t know why it sounds like THEFT to me.worst experience ever with an online parts provider. 00000 stars. Still blocking calls. I wonder how much they pay for these positive reviews they get one star or five.??Believe these negative reviews they get. For every negative they get they must pay someone to post positive ones. Because thieves like Joe Burda cannot have that many friends!! Contacted BBB they said they had been contacted many times on this business but there nothing they can do legally just give bad reviews.Joe Burda has got this SCAM figured out he even advertised on FB MARKETPLACE that he is somewhere in Dallas TX. Still trying to STEAL from people that work for they’re money.

Ordered and paid for a 7.3 powerstroke motor on 05/23/25. As of todays date 07/28/25 I have not received any update and my phone calls and messages have been ignored. I was told my motor was getting shipped out, but I was then told by someone else its now 4th in line. I know my calls are being screened, due to the fact of calling with a different area code gets an answer, but then put on hold or hung up on when they discover who is calling. I am now out $3k and still don't have my motor. I do not recommend anyone do business with this company. Trust the bad reviews. Im hoping this one will spark a response from the business itself. I will be pursing legal action in an attempt to either get my money back, or get the motor Ive already paid for.
If I could give ZERO stars I would. Ordered a complete cab and chassis engine for 2014 F350 on 6/2/2025 and still have not received my order or shipment confirmation. Have tried to contact them multiple times with zero help!!!!! AWFUL COMPANY!
Messaged American Auto Wrecking on May 18 on facebook marketplace they got back to me on Monday May 19 with a text message with a link to their flat beds for their trucks that are up for sale with a phone number. Called them back let them know which one I wanted drove up there looked at it payed for it they said it would be removed from the truck in the next day or two. They texted me on Wednesday May 21 that it was removed & I could come after 10AM. Drove up there & they loaded it up on my trailer. I highly will recommend American Auto Wrecking for any parts. I give them a 5 ⭐. & the people working up there were so very friendly helpful & courteous. Thank you so very much with helping me with the flat bed. If I need anything else I will be getting in touch with you.
As other people have expressed this place deserves zero stars. I should have read and not bought from here in the first place. I bought a transmission on Jan 7th that was supposed to be shipped to me they said they had one no big deal i figured that a week or maybe 2 I would have my trans but I called every so often to check and it hasn't shipped yet so I bought one somewhere else and told them to return my money on Feb 7th they said they would but I still don't have it. All I can say is don't buy from these people they are quick to take your money but after that you don't matter. I AM CONNECTING THE OHIO ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION AND THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. I have never had to even come close to doing anything like this before. Paid 2k for a rear differential almost 3 weeks ago still haven't received part nor a refund I recommend no one purchase from this palace they have been playing game back and forth with excuses. I have contacted my attorney and lorain police department to help resolve situation. Would give zero star rating but review needs atleast 1 to post.
Actual buyer here, summer of 2024. Ray is an absolute expert on these trucks. His parts are used and we live in the rust belt so is what it is. He does his best to be honest and fair on the condition and prices are great! I bought a front axle and it was exactly as he explained, loaded it for me, and I was on the way. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Not sure where some of these reviews are coming from cause Ray and his Team were absolutely wonderful. I called and asked him a few questions since then and he always gets back to me with the RIGHT answer. I will be back!!
Bought a engine that was supposed to be a complete used engine took 10 days longer to receive the engine then discussed over the phone. Was not the engine they advertised to me this one looks alote more abused has been deleted and it is missing all the egr parts and intake manifold is cracked and oil pan is cracked they refuse all my calls finally responded via txt just to feed me more bs will go through attorney General to get my money back stay away from these people........response to your reply I've tried left voicemails no response from the owner I've attached 4 pictures the engine on pallet was said to be the one I would receive with 120k miles this one will not pass a darn compression test and is probably got way more miles I'm taking every action i can to protect my money
Would give a zero if possible. Purchased a cab corner, emblem, and wheel from this outfit. After paying I was notified that the wheel was already sold and the emblem wasn't the same as the picture showed. I was told I would get a credit and be paid back. Then I got ghosted and was not paid back the difference. The owner is a crook and should be treated as such. Don't buy anything from here and you will be better off.
Update: I was given the difference owed to me after logging a complaint with the Better business bureau.
I purchased an engine that they were advertising on marketplace for $7,000 delivered. This was on June 18 2024. Today is August 8 and I have not received the engine and they have stopped taking my calls.
Update: August 18th. I did finally receive the engine I ordered. It was in good shape and is running good. I will not be purchasing anything else from this company and I would suggest you proceed with caution.
Had a great experience with this company!! Easy payment, great communication. Never had any concern about the product. Drive up to get the doors and was in and out quickly. Guy at the yard was a great help as well. Purchased 2 doors for my 2003, F250. Great doors, no rust! If anyone needs parts for their super duty trucks this is the place to buy it!
I purchased 2 doors a rocker panel and a bunch if other random parts. Their pricing is better than most other junkyards with older ford trucks. Also when you come there they drive you around allowing you to pick out which truck you want the specific part off of. Overall great place to buy from.
Buyer Beware. Where I work, we ordered a part from them over 4 months ago. As of today, we still have not received what we have ordered nor a refund. There was no updates on the part. They did not let us know that they did not have the part or offer to refund us. It wasn't until I texted them to find out what was happening with our order did I get any kind of communication. They eventually did not respond to my or my bosses texts. We have left voice messages for a call, three or four yesterday alone, with no return call.
It is shameful that one business would steal another businesses money and time. You should really rethink your business practices and do the right thing by refunding the money owed back to us.
I will never recommend your business to anyone ever after this experience. I hope this review stops another business from losing their hard earned money and time!
HORROR STORY...BUYER BEWARE! I talked to Nicole, about a nice low mileage rear end assembly they had to fit a 2001 f350. She stated it was in the vehicle yet but could have it shipped out in a week. She gave me a price quote.
I called my customer and confirmed the deal was good to go and they could wait the required time frame. November 11, 2020 I called to order the engine. I gave my credit card to pay for the transaction. They emailed me a copy of the credit card transaction. All was going well so far.
November 19, 2020 (6 business days later), I called to find out what my tracking number for the part was. Nicole informed me that she told me 1 week and that is 7 business days, but she said it was being worked on that day. Ok, I can understand a miscommunication and it should leave the next day.
Called again and was told I would receive a call back with information as they didn't know if this was pulled out or shipped yet.
November 30, 2020 I called in total 4 times. Each time I was assured they were going to figure out if this part was removed or shipped and what the tracking number was. I never received a return call. The last time I called I was trying to cancel the order and was put on hold for 50 minutes until I finally hung up. I then emailed them, from the address that they sent my credit card transaction from, to inform them that my customer has canceled the order and I was no longer in need of this part.
December 8, 2020 I get my first reply from Nicole, an e-mail, saying the rear end I cancelled 8 days prior was now shipped and she gave me a tracking number. Literally 8 minutes after the email I responded informing her that the order was cancelled via e-mail with her boss on November 30, 2021. Yet again no response.
The product showed up here and I refused it as I didn't need it anymore. I then email again a few days later requesting my credit. Again in a few days I reached out to Nicole and her boss for a credit. I did receive a credit or refund.
I was running out of options so, I was forced to cancel the charge with my credit card. Worse in the end they got their product back and the credit card company sided with them, because they provided a "document" that stated they don't give refunds under any circumstance. It would have been nice to hear that before placing my order! First I wouldn't have ordered from them, and second having known that I would have kept the part to at least re-coop some of the $1700 they scammed from me. FYI capital one was my former card and I provided all the email transactions and phone records of calls to them in this case and they still sided with this company!
We are a body shop in Northern Michigan and made the mistake of trusting this company, if it can be called that. In total we paid $1800 for what was supposed to be used, but rust free and undamaged, truck doors. What we actually got was laughable. Heavy rust on all the doors made them unusable, and the fact that one door appeared to have been set on fire at some point was just the icing on the cake. We have tried unsuccessfully for MONTHS to get this resolved. Simply trying to get someone from American Auto Wrecking on the phone was like pulling teeth. Constant run around and playing phone tag. Finally they claimed they were going to send us new doors to make it right....it's been 4 months and we've yet to see these "new" doors. Please do yourself a favor before spending a dime with these people and just look at their Better Business Bureau rating (it's appalling) and all of the complaints on the BBB's page alone. American Auto Wrecking LLC has a history of doing this, don't waste your time or money.
This was a very easy transaction. Communication was convenient through text and they found the parts to convert my super duty dash from 02 to 2010. The price was fair and shipping reasonable and fast. Parts arrived totally complete and in great condition. They did a great job. Thanks.
