We do not recommended this place.
We brought in what I thought was a lot of aluminum. Cans, a couple of car parts and more. My husband came home with a little over 8 dollars. I said that's crazy. Let me see the receipt. He didn't give him one. Now we'll never know what happened.
If there's "nothing to see here" he would have received a receipt.
Jesse here with American Iron & Metal- we are the largest privately owned recycling company in North America. Stopped in this yard today to discuss commodity prices and possible partnerships. Worker was beyond disrespectful- I do this every day and enjoy the relationships, conversations, and prices we offer being a global leader in some metal specialties. I hope this isn't how all new customers are treated....
I'm not sure what's going on here but the yard is a big cluster. I'd avoid coming here until they clear out some of the mountains of scrap metal. The pile is higher than I've ever seen and you have to back onto the scale because there's no room to turn around.
worst service out of any scrap yard I've ever been to. unorganized and unprofessional as could be. 10 out of 10 WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND OR RETURN! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!
I have never been so disrespected in my life. I had asked to have a vehicle picked up. He told me he would be here by 2:30-3 to pick up my car. The gentleman called me and said he was on his way to pick it up. Nobody showed, I waited in case he had other stops. When I called to find out what happened, I was cussed out by the woman who answered and someone in the background, stating that he was there and he left. He waited five minutes and he called me a bunch of times. THIS WAS NOT TRUE. I sat and waited at my window and nobody showed and I did not receive any phone calls. As I tried to sit there and ask and make sure they had the address and phone number written down correctly, I was told to call someone else and hung up on. Very unprofessional.
They were very friendly over the phone for setting up my junk pick up. They gave a fair price and arrived when they said they would. The driver was friendly as well. Very reliable service in Lorain County.

$ for your scrap. Can't go to many places, and leave with more money thigh you got there with. Although sometimes, is fair trade... or you wind up spending. Great used tire spot. Reasonable for sure.
Definitely the best place I've ever taken scrap to recycle. The staff is very friendly and treats the customer like a human being, unlike most other scrap yards. They also pay well for your scrap. I would and will recommend to all.
