The prices may be good but I highly recommend staying away from their products. They're in the process of changing stuff. Hopefully it will get better. I'll have to try them again a little later down the road and see what the status is. But the gravel products are crap The yard is a war zone and the mulch is crap. Better luck next time
I ordered 10 yards of compost, received 5 at max @ $16/yd and $100 delivery. I call in and they say that it was 10 yards when it clearly isn't. The delivery went well and the driver was very nice (one star for that!). The compost looks decent, one star for that.
Look for yourself, photo attached along with reference photos.
Lying to your customers is not a way to gain business. Also, I'm pretty sure they wrote my CC # down.
Listened to what I thought I needed and gave me the options and pricing for all choices. Delivery of 27 tons of stone the next day all good and clean. The dump truck driver, Troy, was most helpful in placement of loads, getting the truck through tight areas and avoiding power lines, along with discussing best method and concerns for future orders. Thank you for the help and great service.
Its close to home and convenient. The only other place is across town. The problem with Elm's is that they do not have gravel paths and expect you to forge through mud to get to where they want you to dump stuff. They need to have maintained drives to these areas. When its rained, forget it because unless it stays dry for a week, the ground is too far wet and can bury your vehicle. When that happens, they will not assist you either. They need to do better in this regard. When you use them, make sure you budget for a car wash. Otherwise, its not bad.
Got sand delivered. And also went there to get crushed stone.(got to much n flattened my tires) the gentlemen that helped me was so sweet and hand shoveled it out for me til my tire was ok. They had a great attitude during it all. I was impressed with the level of customer service..... thank you guys...we will deff be back for our other material needs!
If I could put zero Stars I would they acted really nice to my face they acted like my friends they didn't tell me anybody was complaining I always was on time I always did my job I didn't damage anybody's trucks and somehow they still said they gotta let me go without even telling me what I did wrong but said they would give me a good reference I really enjoyed my job and don't understand
Absolutely awful working with the office people. I called in an ordered a load of stone to resurface my driveway. I'm not a landscaper so I asked advice on best rock for driveway. Lady I talked to said only difference between gravel and limestone is the color uniformity. I was quoted $192 and charged $261. So I ordered gravel. Which was round and not going to lock together even the driver said this isn't what you want for a driveway. Well I sent it back and was charged double delivery fee to deliver limestone. If the woman in the office wasn't inept this would have never happened. Don't trust these people they will screw you over.
We've been getting our mulch at Elm Recycling for the past few years. We don't need tons of it so we get the bags. The price is reasonable and they always load it for me. I've gotten other products from them, crushed concrete and gravel. Oh yeah, I believe they still accept brush and (trees) limbs too.
Do not order from these people. They told me that there was no charge for delivery for orders more than 3 yards of soil and they charged me $100! After all that I checked and they didn't even deliver the 3.5 yards I ordered!! Beware Beware Beware!!!!!!!!
They sold me a 20 ton load of washed gravel that was full of dirt and mud, which is now caked up all around my landscaping so thick that we will have to remove the rocks to remove the mud. They refused to provide a refund or to remove the mud. They told me they'd replace the gravel if I paid the cost to dig it up and return it.
Call before you go because they make up their hours and a lot of times they’re closed. I’m not sure why it says they’re open on Saturdays I’ve went on 3 different Saturdays and they were closed. Terrible business practices
