Place is a scam they’ll sell you an engine for $1000+ and not take it back because the part isn’t covered on the warranty. All they do is steal your money. Yall will have an engine sitting on your doorstep here soon
Place is an absolute joke! Called 4 different times and each time I was transferred 3-4 times so finally I show up and call the number on the door and the guy says I can’t pick my part up until thursday. Do not recommend this joke of an establishment. They wasted my time all day and i’m out of a car. I could have picked the part up in Columbus earlier today if they would have just given me the correct explanation the first time I called!
Absolute trash management, can’t even get parts from a historical site anymore! This has been a salvage yard for decades and under the current management it’s just became a stain to this county.
LkQ is the worst and very un professional, purchase a part friday of last week was supposed to get core charge back , today is weds and they never sent the refund through now I have to wait 3 more days , accounting said they never put it through , went to the Newark location where the manager told me they don't put them through not there job ...note to self they were very rude Unhelpful ..I'll go else where from here on out
The new managment John V. Is very rude, he has no empathy for people and treats his employees very badly, to openly degrade someone infront of customer or in general is completely unacceptable there is never a circumstance where that would be acceptable. Even more so to call your employees names is always unacceptable, personally ive never had any issues with lkq but now i will not be going there so long as they employee terrible people like him.
Will update when my part comes in. I ordered a passenger side mirror and it was listed as interior mirror. The correct part should be in tomorrow. Priced right and quick service. For this part, I can wait another day.
Kept my husband on hold for long periods multiple times and sent him to voicemail as well. Said they would order a rim for us and it would be in Friday. Didn't hear from them. Called and they said over the weekend the order must have gotten deleted?!?So no rim. No apology, very rude and short with my husband. Also said if they ordered the rim and there was a issue with it there is no way to get a refund! Would not recommend this place at all!
They told me my part would be in in 5 days then never communicated with me after that. It took 12 days to get. I called multiple times and no one ever called me back, then turns out my part was sitting there for 3 days before I got it. When I picked up my part I asked to see inside the box and the guy was rude and very short with me. Also, they charged me tax on the core but did not return the tax for it upon pick up so what was the tax for? Hmm. Warning Do not do business with this place.
Called in looking for a part and the guy that answered was very rude and told me they do no deal with the public unless you have an account and even then still had to go online and order my part and wait for delievery when the place is a block away from my house. Makes no sense but will definitely be taking my business elsewhere.
If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. They do not return your calls, cancel orders and do not inform you, part came broken in the box, ordered another and when the 3rd replacement came the employee was very very rude and threw a fit when I asked to open the box to make sure everything was intact and working, it was indeed broke as well… I recommend NOT doing business here.
Don't waist your time. They said the motor I got started and ran. I get home and it's locked tight. So tons of time waisted and gas went and got my money back. Come on how hard is it to turn a motor with a breaker bar before you bring it out the building when you say it runs.
They usually can find the part you need however the parts I need I usually have to wait for it to be shipped in. Their prices are a little bit higher than the other salvage yards around here as well. Great service, friendly sales people.
Took 3 tries to get a fender. Each time I was told the fender was marked in “A” condition. Twice it showed up with large scratches and chipped paint. Very unorganized and miscommunication is common. Also wanted to buy some wheels, was told they got put under my name so they wouldn’t sell. Showed up to buy them and was told they got sold because somebody else was running the counter. Very unorganized. It would be a lot less headache to deal private party than dealing with these guys. A few employees were very helpful but this place has caused me a lot of frustration and headache.
Sent the wrong replacement motor for warranty and then refused to send the correct one. Initial motor only lasted 2 weeks. Sells nothing but junk. Avoid or get a lawyer.
I own a repair shop in Maryland and quite often we get used engines and used transmission. Well here lately we have been getting parts from LKQ. Last week we ordered a engine that was supposed to have 57k and never hit in the front. We received the engine and sent it back due to the engine looked like it was pulled from the bottom of a lake. We called the company and asked if they could send another engine and they agreed to do that. We received the replacement engine a few days later and to my surprise it looked great. Before we installed the engine we tried to turn the crank and it was locked up. Again we called the company to see what was going on and this is what they said... Because we send back parts our rate for returned parts was 49% and we would have to pay the 275.00 for the core charge on the original engine plus a core charge on the transmission that we received at the same time before they would send the 3rd junk I mean replacement engine. I'm not sure what is going on but its sad that a person has to go through this much trouble to BUY parts from this company. I refused to get another engine from them so they shut my account off and said they would refund my 2010.00 that I paid for the engine minus the core charge that shouldnt be there to begin with and minus the restocking fee that will be charged for a locked up engine. Im not sure what restocking they will be doing on this engine when it needs to go to the core pile. So after everything we will be getting 1400.00 back out of the 2010.00 so thats one heck of a restocking fee for a defective part. I would be very careful getting any parts here unless you want to get screwed on parts and any type of warranty claim you may have. I would strongly recommend checking all parts out before you cut that check dont make the same mistake I did.
Just called them looking for a part for my car i could not find any place. They did not have it, but know were to get it. I will have it in a couple of days. You guys rock thanks for going the extra mile. You got my business. Thanks again.
Got a hood for my camry and they said bad paint job and when I get home I find alot of small dings in the better lighting.Paint job needed to be done anyway but fixing small dents alot more work! Disappointed!!!!
Went to a couple junk yard couldnt find a rim to fit my suv within 10 minutes they found one at one of their other yards for me should have it in a couple days good prices
They were very helpful and congenial and professional I got what I needed I got my car on the road very very quickly at a very reasonable cost I am very happy with their service
Go somewhere else... horrible service from Adam. Lies to you, challenges you and then tells you that he is the most easiest person there. If that is the case, it's not worth the business.
