Hopefully it was a new server and will get better. Dropped off part of the order, didn't refill drinks. Apparently she hadn't logged the full order so the fries showed up after we finished eating. Luckily, we were still hungry. Didn't refill drinks again. I don't mind asking for a refill but don't run away before giving me time to ask.

One of my family's absolute favorite places to go in town. Love love love the food! Great atmosphere too.

We had a great time tonight! It was their 7th anniversary for being open! We have been here before but we were welcomed by the owner Jason when we walked in. We had excellent service and the food was outstanding. The kitchen was also accommodating to some guests who arrived after the kitchen closed. We highly recommend!

We used to frequent this place on Tuesday for trivia. Food has always been good but whatever boneless chicken they use now is awful. Like chewing into a brick. This wasn't just one wing it was multiple boneless wings and my wife's boneless wrap. No other complaints than that. I just hope they go back to the way it was. FYI hot honey sauce is really good.

Crappy service and not great food. No Cheese on a salad. It wasn't missing it just isn't part of the salad. Server didn't take my drink order but asked the other 2 I was dining with. I don't think I have ever had a good experience here.

We waited over an hour for drinks and food and I received neither, after an hour and 15 minutes, I was told they didn't make my food.. they also ignored our requests to clean the table, and we cleaned our table the best we could and it was still sticky.

We had the chicken tenders and waffle fries. May have been the best tenders that I've ever had. Crispy, juicy...cooked to perfection. Huge portions. Friendly staff. Highly recommended!!

We were out for a hike and decided to stop for lunch on our way back to Columbus. They weren’t busy and we had our pick of places to sit. They have plenty of parking and seating. We each had a beer (pretty good selection) and lunch. I enjoyed a very fresh Caesar salad and my husband had the blue cheese burger and fries. Both were great. Recommend stopping in and giving them a try.

I have a hard time giving this place even three stars. I've been there 4 times and walked out twice after waiting 20 minutes to get first contact at our table. I wanted to give the place a fair shake knowing how tough it is to find good help. The two times that we waited around for food, it was fair to good, but even then it took a lot longer to get the food than it should have. I'd love to see this place be a viable restaurant. Centerburg sure could use a couple good sit-down places.

Worst service. Ordered online; site gave 35min wait. 1hr and 52min later...Steak was beef jerky even though I ordered medium rare. Gave it to my dogs. Didn't get entire order correct. Asked for manager on duty; she was drunk at the bar. Couldn't talk to her coherently because she was drunk. We gave these jerky steaks to our dogs! I drove to Wendy's for our food after this.

We placed an order of wings and they were 1.5hrs late. The female owner greeted me, didn’t seem sincere that they were 2 hrs late and to top it off she was actively drinking a beer while handing me a receipt. There were 4 others waiting for their order that was also over an hour late. To add on this the other owner (male) was drinking behind the bar while the kitchen staff clearly couldn’t keep up. I feel bad for the staff that have to work under them.

We carryout probably a few times a month and have different experiences everything. Wings are good one time then over cooked and hard next. Our fries that supposed to come with out burgers have been forgotten multiple times. When the food is on its good but when it's not its bad, wish there was more consistency. Also for being the only sports bar in a small town, you would think that during football season they would keep kitchen open, I mean watching football and eating wings seems pretty common, but they shut down food service on su days which makes no sense.

We ordered online for take out and had a wonderful, tasty experience. Everything was hot and fresh when we ate it. I really liked the breaded chicken wrap and the dressing on it. My brother got the crispy chicken sweet Thai chili Sammy on the pretzel bun and said all the flavors worked well together. The chicken tenders were a good size and crispy along with the waffle fries, onion rings and mozzarella sticks. Thanks for the great meal.

I had high hopes for this place because of the reviews, but it was unfortunately a disappointment. We went here after leaving a basketball game nearby. When walking in no one greeted us and we wasn’t sure if we should’ve sat ourselves or not. There was two waitresses who walked past a couple times and didn’t say anything for a while and then one said we could take a seat. The place did not have many people and was only full at the bar. After taking a seat we were greeted for drinks about 10 minutes in. We also ordered appetizers at that time. Around 10 minutes later our waitress took our main food orders. The waitress did not come back until almost an hour later and asked if we needed refills, which two of us did, and gave us our appetizers. We asked how long our main meals would be since it had been so long at this point and was told they were finishing them up right at that moment. It was not until about 15 minutes later that we got our main dishes. Most of our food was cold when we received it but we were all hungry and was tired of waiting so we did not send back. Our meals for four people was over $100 and the food and service did not reflect that. I understand being understaffed but the place wasn’t that busy at all and there was no communication from the waitress on what was going on with our food.

Stopped here love little bar type restaurants this one didn’t disappoint. Our waitress was amazing, she was only one but kept our drinks full and was checking on us frequently. Only complaint was the grouper was fishy and mushy. Black and blue burger was AMAZING

Was a great place to eat. Staff was very welcoming and fun. They had some sort of trivia going on for the customers. Really well trained. Had a good I Time with some great food.

I ordered food from this tavern on a whim. I wasn't expecting a lot because it was a bar restaurant. However, I was pleasantly surprised my burger was thick and delicious. My fries were delicious and the fried pickles were top-notch. Also, the female bartender that was taking my order was super friendly. I definitely will go back.

The atmosphere is great. Decor matches the overall vibe. Had a few smaller breweries on tap. I had the special fried bologna sandwich and fried mushrooms. Both were great. If you go earlier in the evening its a generally family friendly place as well.

Had a Tavern Burger and some Wings last night and they were great but for dessert we had the Nachos and they were fantastic. Fun night out in the Burg.

We tried this restaurant earlier this week and we had a decent experience. We decided to come back and bring our family. Unfortunately, this experience was absolutely horrible. Our waitress was helpful, so that was a plus. It was a little frustrating she asked us to order as soon as we got there because the kitchen was closing. The hours online said they were open for another hour or we wouldn't have tried to go. There were SO many flies around us the entire time we were eating. We ordered coke and sprite to drink and everything was flat or tasted even odd. The waitress did switch it out for something else, but it was disappointing to not have what we wanted to drink. All of our food did not have correct sauce, was burnt, and thrown together. Honestly, my food was so bad I couldn't even eat it. I did take it to go so I could feed it to my animals. I will say, after the drink issue and being surrounded by flies, we didn't voice concerns about how bad our food was because we just wanted to get out of there. So maybe they could've made it right, but I was just so disappointed in the entire overall experience we just wanted to be done with it (especially with 3 little kids). We were very excited to have a new, local, affordable, place to go but very disappointed with our experience. I will say, it was one of the worst restaurant experience we have ever had. I just pray none of us get sick from the food and the flies and I'll take that as a win. Like I said, our first experience was decent but this experience was absolutely horrible and I'm not sure we will ever go back, nor will we be able to recommend this to friends. I wish them all the best and hopefully it was just an off night, but man, our experience was a bummer! I enjoy reading others google reviews, so I wanted to share our experience. Just don't have high expectations going in there and maybe you won't be as disappointed as our family is tonight as we are eating lunch meat for supper.

Our group headed over to try the food inside since we've only tried carryout. We also wanted to support the owners who were recently injured in a bad accident. They sound like great supporters of the Centerburg/Knox County community. ???? Place was clean and spacious. Food fresh and hot. Everyone friendly and staff never missed a beat. Highly recommend the fried pickles & cauliflower as an appetizer and onion rings. Bonus-- mashed potatoes were real.?? And ice cream sandwich on a fancy plate like the cheesecake was hysterical, and nice way to end a meal. Go check them out!??

Fantastic time at Midway Tavern tonight! Had some delicious wings, mild, excellent Gyro, not sold on Swiss cheese on the skins, but the onion rings and beer battered french fries were great! Really enjoyed the live entertainment, Rumspringa! They are amazing 80s rock and original music!

Best burger I've had in a long time. We had an order of wings to start with a side of their house dry rub and Carolina BBQ sauce. The need wing were gone within minutes. My son had a plain cheese burger and the tavern fries which he loved. My wife had the ta er salad which she let me taste and it was delicious. I had the bacon and blue burger with the house chips and it was a hit. The blue cheese was very good on the burger and salad. The service apologized for being slow but we thought it was timely and very friendly. Check this place out for a good meal at a decent price. The 1834 pils beer is worth the trip alone.

Holy cow! This place was amazing. My husband discovered this place a few months back while working in Centerburg, and we went today to try it out. First, awesome atmosphere- chill, laid back, good people. Second, the beer selection was great, North High brews a beer for them, which I highly recommend. We loved seeing our hometown breweries (Restoration and Old Dog) on two different taps! Third, the food was FANTASTIC! We had the grouper bites, and they were so good. It's not often you find fish like grouper, and they prepared it perfectly. We shared their tavern burger- just the right amount of spicy with lots of flavor! We also split the sweet chili chicken sandwich, also super delicious with a nice, big piece of chicken. The bartender (we think his name was Gordon) was great and very friendly. If you find yourself out that way, stop by. By far the best part of our visit was Gordon telling us that a majority of their stuff from the kitchen came from local places and people. Big cheers to this place, we will be back ?

This place is the perfect little gem! We have been going to the location for a very long time but the new ownership is awesome! Mr Harter.... He really deeply cares about your dining experience! The food was great! Everyone was so polite. I went into eat lunch with my nine year old. He has so many activities planned from bands to craft nights.... His menu is well thought out and homemade using as much of the local farms and produce he can. The mom and pop establishments like this are dying and I am so glad to see this place doing well. I highly recommend supporting this local hole in the wall place.

This is an indeed a must try place. Nice folks and pretty dog gone good food. The fries are amazing. Beer battered I hear and hard to put down. The build your own burger delicious. Looks like a great place for a beer and ball game. Feel free to ask about the history behind the name. Centerburg folks should love it. Yum!
