They stiff people!!! They only weighed one bag of cans and I had two. But then give me the same for the two. I can't believe I waited thirty minutes to be stiffed.
These guys care about getting you the best price. A customer had some copper buried under some steel pipe. They cashed him out not knowing the copper was there. They ended up separating the load for him and re-weiging the load. Have not seen another processing place that would have done this. Top notch.
I’ve never been here but I called today to get the price for clean #1 copper and was given the price of $2.50 a pound. The rate right now is $3.50 a pound. Do your leg work and call these places before going. It’s worth it to do it EVERY time. I’m a master electrician and have been scrapping my waste for years. The amount I had at a $1 per pound difference (33.33333%) is a difference of hundreds/thousands.
Delt with them 4 years.on my last visit. Was treated odd. ignored .? Rude . As I left employ says nice flag.!! I have a small American flag 1/2 way down the antenna..oh well .have anice day
First time coming to this recycling location. I was confused at what was supposed to happen but a fork truck driver came over and dropped a tote near our car for us to use since the car ahead of us were career scrappers and we're taking forever to unload. I asked him how it worked and he explained it to me real quick. So we unloaded all of our scrap metal into the rolling cart. Then we waited our turn up by the scale where it was chained off to keep each customer separated from the scale process. Then once it was tallied up, we took our slip to the window about 10 ft away and got our money. Then we left. Process was super easy and the place was pretty clean considering what they do there. too. Everyone was friendly as well. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to scrap metal to keep it out of landfills as it was an easy process. Doesn't hurt they pay you for it too.
I've been going to A&A for about a year now. Occasionally I would go to a different yard in the Cincinnati area, and what I've learned is there is no reason to. The staff at A&A is very helpful if you have questions. The hours of business are a huge benefit if you work a 9-5, open later than other yards and open Saturdays and Sundays. The rates are the same, if not better, than other yards in the area and the weights I get there match the scale I have at home. You should go there... A+
For the price they give u and you have to load it and unload it yourself os insane
I callled and asked steel price on Sunday the lady told me a dryer is dirty steel lmao because it has a piece of rubber around the drum he’ll I’ll but that she said and I swear nuts and bolts is dirty price I laughed and told her I would call back Monday sometime someone needs to give her a crash course

Every time I come here, it’s such a welcoming experience, most of the staff know me by name and the reason I like A & A over other yards is because they use quality scales that scale out your product right in front of you. I live in Middletown 1.2 miles from Cohen Brothers and drive to A&A recycling for all my recycling needs. The staff members are amazing. It's very personalized. It's quick and easy.
Used to be the only place I thought about going to. Lately I don't know what is going on. Sat on the street 40 minutes before closing yesterday/Sunday and they closed the gates at closing and wouldn't let me in. Sat there for nothing. If there wasn't a truck and trailer taking up four spots and who knows how much time, I would have gotten in.
Went back the next day, today,Monday, and gates were closed and the place was dark. This is about five after six. This is crappy guys.
Called this place at 6:00 and they said as long as I'm driving threw the gates before 6:30 I'm welcome to come well I get there at 6:27 after it takes me a hr to get there and I'm refused!!!! Happened twice and it won't happen again and I will spread the word and I'm et people no this place isn't about customer service or making money
Make sure your there a half hour before THEY CLAIM THEY CLOSE. Have shown up before the closed time 4 or 5 times just to have there gates closed. I drive all the way from greendale IN because I like the people that work there, 30 minutes 1 way. They should have a sign or atheist some info on there website or even update it saying your closed at 630 during the week an 330 on Saturday, 230 Sunday. I'll be exploring other scrap yards closer to me for now on, I'll only go there if its a absolute have to. I'll be going to Miami town. Better prices, nicer employees, even if you show up at 1 minute before they close they will accept you.!!!
seemed like a good place. I didn’t have any issues looked well kept, prices seem fair. Better hours and conditions than cohen but, i will go there again.
Got here 15 mins before closing to an employee running to close the gate on me and explaining that they close 30 minutes before closing and he has this argument with 50 people a week. I drove 45nins to come here but it fell upon dead. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise however after comparing rates and seeing the poor service was only outdo e by the poor rates
Weve been going to A and A for a long time and if Jason wasn't working there we wouldn't even go !! He's the best there is and he educates us on everything so we know exactly what's going on and how to make it easier or better next time !! One of the best guys out there !!!! Very humble and very kind
I've been to dozens of recycling facilities over time to sell my scrap. A & A Recycling quickly became the only place I take all my scrap. For my Business records I weigh all of my scrap before I sell it with the exception of steel. I've sold to them hundreds of times and their weights matched what I wrote down every single time. That proved to me their scales were frequently checked for accuracy .The prices the pay are always high and competitive. Their facility is always clean and organized. The Drive Thru they have for customers who arrive "Ready to Go" eliminates long wait times. They also provide individual parking stations in the back for customers who need to prepare or separate what they have before getting in line. What sealed the deal and made me a loyal customer is the unbelievable amount of comradery and customer service the employee's have. They are always friendly, willing to answer your questions, and help assist customers any way they can. Not any easy thing to accomplish when you work with large amounts of Scrap metal all day and assist customers who are tired and dirty from working with the same. I want to give a shout out and personal thank you to Jason. Your help has made it an absolute pleasure to do business with A & A Recycling and why I always will.
I had some metal piling up in the driveway and it was the weekend so all of my normal places were closed. Googled recycling spots near me and never knew about this place. Nine minutes away and open 7 days a week. It was incredibly neat and organized and the staff were all very nice and helpful. I think I found my new place for good.
I love this place! The guys are friendly, easy going ,and always pay top dollar for everything. They even give pointers to get more for your buck! I would recommend this place every trip ! Thanks A and A you guys are the best!!
Like using the pull up around back so you can get your things out leisurely,separate n if need be take something apart.they have different size containers to put your items in. Staff is helpful.& Maybe sum people think the old guy is cantankerous but I feel it's just personality.people shouldn't get upset of he corrects something he feels is hazardous or a safety issue. I like the fact they are open on weekends & late during the week.i have had nothing but positive things to say about this place.
Don't waste your time going here unless you like frustration. If you have a trailer, only one can unload at a time. Very poor set-up in how things are done. It's a pleasure to go somewhere that is organized... but, it's not this place.
Their staff starts their contact with you by yelling. I had two pieces on a very small trailer and they offered no solution other than a bad attitude. So, if the person ahead of you pulls in with a large trailer full of stuff and they are by themselves, you have to wait for them to hand unload.
The “old” man in the office Sunday 3/27/22 is rude, disrespectful, and needs to learn some customer service skills. This was just 1 time he’s been out of line with his language & attitude. If you want any respect go elsewhere. Also if you want to get paid the correct price for a ton 2000lbs do not go there they want 2200lbs to pay for a ton. This makes a difference in pay. Check other scrap yards, guaranteed you’ll be paid more.
I went because they are the only place open on Sunday. I told the first guy I saw that this was my first time there. He got off the forklift and walked to the other end and he showed me where to park my trailer, and even brought some flat carts out to me. Everybody there was friendly and very helpful.This is a great place and I give them 7 stars! Thanks A&A, you are my new place for scrap!
It was very busy. The employees were still very helpful even though it was busy. It was my first time visiting. There's not a lot of open area. If you're going to be bringing a trailer, take that into consideration. I was able to get a decent amount for what I brought.
Its a small scrap yard that tries there best for great customer service everyone there are good people that understand how working class people are I go there everyday and have never had any problems out of any of the guys that work there. Jason who is always helpful in explaining what metal are and he is always trying to get you the most money he can get you I personally give this place a 5 star rating.I recommend that you got there. They're open 7 days a week and open till 7 through the week. There pricing is better than most your big yard. Definitely go there amd check em out. Thanks, your scrap guy Cliff.
We called ahead today (Saturday) to check the store hours before going. Drove 20 minutes there. And they were closed at 4p. Despite the website stating 430. The guy at the gate stood there at the gate with at least 3 customers confused on how they closed before 430. And told all of us to come back tomorrow. Very bad customer service in my opinion. As for now they aren't worth more than one star. Might try them tomorrow. But that's just a huge hassle.
