Their auctions offer a wide variety of items and also real estate and cars/trucks. I have purchased many quality items at a great price. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

A disappointing experience that raises concerns about transparency. I entered this auction with genuine interest and respect for the process. At the scheduled closing time, I was the highest bidder. However, the auction was extended twice in the final moments, which significantly altered the outcome. While I understand the intention behind anti-sniping measures, repeated extensions without clearly communicated limits can leave bidders feeling uncertain and disadvantaged. Losing the auction by $250 after what appeared to be a concluded result was understandably frustrating. Auction platforms rely heavily on trust and clarity. Unfortunately, this experience did not reflect the level of transparency or professionalism I had expected. I hope this feedback is taken constructively and leads to clearer policies in the future.

We're so happy with the work and results of Auction Ohio. Grant and Bill were beyond helpful when setting up the sale of our property in Mt. Victory. I would recommend them to everyone no matter how big or small your property or other sale items may be. They handle it all!

Enjoy the excitement and the adventure of always finding something unique and unusual. A great place to online shop and online bidding is an exceptional process. All the auctioneers are very professional.

Great experience overall, easy platform for buyers. Communication is sometimes difficult, but that is usually due to individual auctioneers.

Said they wouldn't charge me a commission on the auction of my house, then I get a contract saying they get 10% commission. On top of the 5% the realtor who recommended them gets. But the house doesn't sell. Not one bid. Then they take my recently departed mom's expensive antiques and put them up for auction. Worth thousands, but the total proceeds are just $673. They keep all but $42. I feel like I was robbed.

BIDDER BEWARE!!! They don't take pictures of damage and try to hide it in the photos. Adam Rodriguez is condescending and rude!!. If you are bidding on something of significant value I would make sure the condition is properly represented. I could go on and on but I will leave it at this.

Every time I use the auction Corissa is the best there has been times that I wasn’t able to be at the pick up and she has taken it home and I was able to just pick it up from her. She is always so helpful when we have any questions. Corissa is great at what she does.

We will never use Auction Ohio again! We are sorry we ever heard of them. They did not take care to get the highest price possible for our auctioned items. When the listings first went live only short little phrases were attached to each item. Several descriptions were just wrong. This was despite us providing written information for many items that went completely unused. Only after we complained did Auction Ohio go back to add important details. And this was after the auction was about half over. Examples Lot 82, white mamasan & papasan ceramic figures. Identical figures by the same artist recently sold online for $325, but Auction Ohio sold ours for $27. Auction Ohio’s listing failed to point out how rare it was to have the original baskets carried by the figures included in the sale. Lot 66, Photograph of a shuttle launch at Cape Canaveral. Auction Ohio was informed in writing the photo was signed by one of the astronauts. Ohio Auction chose not to mention this. Sold for $9.35. Lot 73, Picture of Germans celebrating at the fallen Berlin Wall on November 9, 1989. The picture was personally signed by then president of Germany Richard von Weizsacker. He signed it while aboard our USAF airplane flying him to Berlin. Auction Ohio failed to mention the picture was signed by the German President. Sold for $3.65. Lot 4, Blue Rug. Auction Ohio listed it as wool. It was not. It was a silk/cotton blend. Auction Ohio didn’t say how large it was. It was approx 6 ft X 9 ft. Auction Ohio didn’t mention it was authentic Chinese bought by the seller in Beijing. Sold for $89. Lot 107, Japanese Kimono. Poor quality pictures. They apparently didn’t have a dress form to display it properly. We viewed a similar kimono one online that was beautifully displayed and sold for $600. Ours sold for $8.50. Lot 37, Signed Russian Cathedral Print. NO! That was an original painting purchased directly from the artist. Sold for $21. Lot 50, Daybed. Listing says, “Brass tone metal daybed.” NO! That trundle bed was solid brass. Sold for $18.44.

So much fun hunting for unique items and great deals! Everyone has been great every time I've won something:)

I come here pretty regularly. The staff is helpful and friendly. If you're doing a pickup, you have to go around back, not the front of the building.

Had a discrepancy on an item I won bid on and David Flood made it right immediately. This was my first experience with Auction Ohio. Because of his quick response I will do it again.

Updated review as of 08-18-2024. Now they have ruined what was an easy to use website. The new version is cumbersome at best to use. It used to be easy to look at an item in a list, then hit the back arrow and return to where you left off. Now it takes you back to the beginning of the list that you have to scroll back down to find the next item. Still no oversight on describing items and conditions. I have made purchases from several of their affiliates. Their affiliates should be better trained and if they don't adhere to best practices then they should be removed from the platform. Many of their affiliates don't allow previews and don't disclose things that are wrong. It's not that difficult to say in your auction description even if its in the general description that a house smells like animals, or the previous owners were smokers or the whole house wreaks of mold and mildew. I don't care how collectible something is, if it wreaks of smoke, very few people want it, but for their affiliates its all about the money, not about doing what's right. If you say something about it at pickup, you will be dismissed by most of them with "Oh, we didn't really notice it"....right! sure! If you reach out to Auction Ohio, they will just tell you that they just provide the platform and aren't responsible for individual affiliate's actions.

I have been purchasing from Auction Ohio for the past 3 years but in 2024 I have noticed that they are no longer being honest about the condition of items. They are getting very lazy about pointing out flaws and think that a clause at the end saying everything is sold as is negates them from any responsibility. Yesterday. I picked up a desk that was described as in good condition with some wear to finish. When my daughter and I picked up the desk it literally fell apart in our hands. When I asked for a refund, I was lectured about how everything is sold as is. Also this auction was billed as "Bexley estate with antiques and upscale furniture etc" the place was a dump, the entire house smelled, and it was in a very bad part of town. Very misleading. Buyers beware

Just drove 2 hours one way to pick up 6 tubs of home decor but was actually 6 empty tubs. Offered a refund but this is the 4th time or roughly 40% of the time I go to pick up my items and there's issues. One homeowner kept my items after purchase and the Auction just put me in touch with the owner and walked away. $500 in furs gone and never remedied. I gave 3 stars because of descent people there but it's disappointing that I now expect errors in listings and no faith my items will be there for pickup.

100% satisfied! So easy to work with. We had to downsize our home and had some items we felt like had some value. Auction Ohio helped us organize and posted amazing lots of items to draw interest to the online auction. Outcome was better than expected!

They and their affiliates take great pleasure in ripping you off. They'll kick everyone out at pick ups, but if you stick around and watch... you will see them load their vehicles with as much as they can get in them. It's fine if you buy one thing at a time... but I usually have to drive, so I buy a lot and I very rarely get everything purchased. I just spent $127 with "Elite Sales" and got none of it. In fact I just asked them to close my account.

This service has gotten better and better. Especially convenient are full day pick ups at their warehouse. The on site pickups are markedly better since advanced electronic payment was instituted as it speeds pick ups significantly most of the time. Occasionally on site auction managers don’t staff well and there are delays and sometimes the pictures and descriptions are inadequate which is why I can’t yet give 5 stars.

The staff is always friendly and top notch. Really like that they have so many auctions and affiliates to whom you can choose from to bid on items. I have come across many fantastic items ,The only thing I wish was different would be better pick up time's. 2 hrs at random times of the day make it difficult to bid on so many great auctions.

First time going, had a car in front of me I just followed back to the docks. They seem very organized, and on top of everything. Once they got my info w/in a couple of mins brought my items up, all put into a box. I had a lot of glass, so I shoved some newspaper in it. I was definitely in and out quickly.

Auction Ohio was very beneficial to me in selling furniture, framed art and other household items quickly and efficiently upon selling my house. Paula Moulton met me at my house to sign the contract and she was very nice and always responsive when I called her several times for any questions even when she was out of town. Brian Hall of Modern Antique was very nice and accommodating. He came to take pictures of my household items and even removed the framed art and posters from the wall. Even if Auction Ohio took out 45% of the proceeds of the sale, it was still worthwhile because they auctioned it off to thousands of people. Brian designated a 2 hour window for customers to pick up their purchased items. It was hassle free for me and gave me time to attend to other details of the closing of my house. Also, I made some money instead of having to pay the Junk people to remove those items from my house or to call Salvation Army who only has designated days for pick up. Auction Ohio really streamlined the process of removing excess stuff from my house and I highly recommend them. I will definitely use them again on my next move. Judy J.

Great experience. We sold our house right in the middle of the first wave of coronavirus, and Taylor and her team did a great job with efficient cataloguing of sale items and then dealt with a tight driveway on pick-up day. Beyond the logistics, they did a little more research on a couple of items that proved beneficial to final sales price. Professional and highly recommended!

I was overwhelmed by what to do with a large number of antiques left to me by my grandmother. I kept a few pieces that meant something to me, but didn't have the space or desire to keep their whole collection. I was not having any luck finding someone who would help me sell the items. Auction Ohio responded to me quickly and made the process extremely easy. They took good care of the items and listed accurate descriptions. They sent me a link to follow along with the online auction which I enjoyed. They were very professional and respectful which I know my grandmother would have appreciated. I would highly recommend them.

Brian and Kim were awesome to work with to get our online auction started. We had never been involved with an auction before and they were great to explain the process. They did a great job displaying our auction property. We have a fantastic outcome with a majority of our items sold to new owners.

I had AO take care of moving my items for me to a proper location for my items to be auctioned. Be sure you know all the questions to ask if you chose to have your items moved. I was surprised when I received the trucking bill costs. I brought up my concerns with the salesperson because I wasn't informed of all the costs involved and I was taken care of in a satisfactory manner. When I had more questions and raised other concerns at a later time with the same salesperson, I felt I was handled curtly with condescension. The positive is the movers worked diligently, quickly and were friendly. The movers communicated with me in a satisfactory manner when I had questions. All of my items sold.

Auction Ohio is a very good place to bid on items. They always give a good description of the items and the staff takes great photos of the items for sale. They keep you updated if you are outbid on an item you are trying to buy. The payment process is painless. and the staff at the pickup sites get the items you purchased for you and get you on your way quickly.

After purchasing several items from auction Ohio, I’ve found it to be an excellent source for quality items. Recently I purchased several household items from a Lights, Camera, Auction sale. What a great experience. The pictures and descriptions of all of my items were accurate, I was highly satisfied with all of my items. I was even credited for a set of speakers because somewhere a long the days pick ups one of the speakers was knocked over and slightly damaged one of the corners, I personally didn’t even notice it. It was pointed out by one of the Lights, Camera, Auction guys. He informed me that the cost was being credited back to me but the speakers were mine to take. The damage was very minor and had no effect on the the working order of the speaker. Everyone I had any contact with during pick up was very pleasant and helpful. Even gave me a hand loading a large dining table into my truck.

Boy - I can't say enough about the service and commitment to customer service. I would give them six stars out of five. We downsized from our house, met Brian over the dinning room table and that was pretty much the last thing I had to do. There team kept me up to date with the details of the auction - when it was over a check was sent me. Set it and forget it.

On 2/27/19 I went to pick up my auction wins only to find that the auctioneers weren't there. They arrived ten minutes after the designated start time saying, "Sorry, Sorry! But don't worry, we're all ready!" That turned out not to be true. While she went in to open up the garage (including getting tables out of their SUV and setting those up), he proceeded to get the rest of the things out of their vehicle. Unfortunately, he dropped not only the first box (filled with paper bags of auction items), but the second box (filled with sheets of printed paper), and then the third! Three men assisted in carrying things from the vehicle to the garage and helping them set things up. Unfortunately, after that the man just stood around talking to people and showing them his antique gun that he was putting up for sale. Although he said it wasn't loaded, the way that he was handling it (including literally waving it around in the air!) made several of us uncomfortable. She continued to do all of the work, and thus it took over a half hour to get my items. I've been an active bidder up until this point, but have decided to take my business elsewhere.

Did not have a good experience at all. Only giving one star above the lowest for two reasons; initially before I bid on items I contacted the auctioneer to see if we could meet at a later date as I was not local. She agreed, so I bid and won numerous items. The flexibility of being able to set up a time and date that worked for me is one of the reasons I gave an extra star on the review. We set up a date and time and I drove over 3 hours to meet at the location. She was 45 minutes late, and ended up giving me one of the wrong items (which was the entire reason I even started bidding in the first place) I had them packaged to transport back home and did not realize the error until I got back. At this point, I now spent over 6 hours traveling and close to $100 in fuel, waited nearly an hour for her to show up (all the while not responding to phone calls or texts until ten minutes before she showed up). I called her and texted her explaining the issue, and she never responded. I was so upset that I called the number on the Auction Ohio website, and did speak with a lady who promised to resolve the issue. She was very professional and sympathetic to the situation, which is the second reason I gave an extra star on the review. However, the solution I desired was not the outcome of the problem. I wanted the item I won, or something similar to it. Instead I received a refund check for $12. (Yes, that was the cost of the item.) While I completely understand they couldn't refund me for more than what I paid for the item, I am insulted by the complete disregard for the inconvenience this caused me through the entire situation. This is such a disappointment because it appears that they have nice items listed for auction but I am just not willing to go through this hassle again. They really need to be more picky when hiring their auctioneers. They are the reason the business is suffering and I hope they see that.
