Our truck wouldnt start and the driver came and tested battery..rhe battery was good. He got in vehicle and said it was in theft mode. Put the truck in neutral and started right up..rhen he looked at mower and found a blown fuse..he didnt want any money but gave him some anyways cause he saves us on repairs.. recommend highly
I called this guy at 10:30 and he said he would call me back and would do job in three hours Six hours later no call so I called and he did not answer phone. Next day no phone call. Got job done with Estep's and they showed up 20 minutes after I called . I called this guy to let him know I would no longer need him and he did not apologize but hung up quickly before I could let him know what I thought of his business. Good thing I was not sitting at side of road waiting for him. I would avoid this guy at all costs
Brett was very helpful when our car broke down. He helped us try to problem solve with jumping the car and was able to safely tow the car home once we were unable to safely drive it home.
Front passenger went off the road, I corrected but the rear passenger sucked me down into the culvert. Possibly wrecked the whole rear axle. I threw on the spare and tried making it home. Quickly learned the radiator wasn't working. Pulled over and gave my insurance a call and they sent this awesome guy over to help. He called me up to let me know where he was and that he'd be there in 20 minutes. Got my car loaded up and I caught a ride home with my relatives. Sucks my gravel driveway was too steep for the tow truck, but I got that wreck up no problem, and he made sure. This Horrifying Handsome Harried Hoddlum was proud to state, he is pretty much the only person who can unlock a semi. Located at the Love's Travel Stop, at exit 150 off US 33, in Lancaster. Initial contact at 6:30pm. Well, all other towing services were booked up or didn't have the proper equipment. So, I had no choice,other than to think he may be right.
3hrs later, at 9:30pm ,this Young Yellow Yeast Infected Yoddler, says he's working as fast as he can, and he'll call me enroute. With that, I twiddled my thumbs till I noticed my phone was at 10%. This was 3hrs from last contact, 12:30am... get this ....

Took my classic car out for the first ride of the season. Water pump ended up failing. Chris from A&J showed up right on time. He was very personable and professional. Chris went the extra mile to make sure no damage was made to my car during the whole experience. He respected the car like it was his own. If i ever need a tow again i will be calling and requesting Chris as my driver. He understood how expensive and how much work had went into my car. 100% satisfied with my service. If you have a classic that needs a little more attention than the typical vehicle, call these guys.
I called them for a tow got quoted a price but also told that they could not get to it until the next morning. I said that was fine they told me to call back at 9:00 a.m. and they would get my vehicle picked up first thing. I called at 9a.m. And they said they would get it in about an hour or two. Around 2:00 p.m. they had still yet to pick up my. I called them they said we'll get to it today. 5 hours later I called them again because they have still yet to go pick up my vehicle and they at that point ignore my phone calls. And since the owner wants to reply to this review I am going to edit it since he replied saying it's nice to know that my competitors are still leaving reviews on my company no I called in to have a 2004 Chevy cavalier towed from Lancaster to Newark 34 miles was quoted $175 which I was fine with and then the next day he never picked it up I called him twice the third time I went to call him which was about 10 hours after the first time I called him he ignored my phone calls sent me to voicemail I then called from my wife's phone and he answered on the second ring I hung up the phone called back from my phone and got sent to voicemail yet again
Very easy to get a hold of and picked us up in a timely fashion. We were visiting from out of town and didn't know the area well at all. When we couldn't get a ride to the car rental the owner offered us a ride and was very empathetic towards our situation. Highly recommend
After being jerked around by my insurance third part towing dipatch. The owner called me personally to make sure my vehicle was towed to the shop. I would highly recommend calling them directly and working with them. They in my opinion are one of the few honest business that look out for the customer, and actually care about the job that they do and making sure the customer is taken care of. I would highly recommend them to anyone but i don't recommend dealing with the insurance first.
Ford customer care dispatched them out to me for a a tow because of a dead battery They arrived quickly and the driver knew exactly what the issue was. Got his handy jump box out of his truck and had me back on the road in a few minutes.
I had my Travel Trailer broke down at Hocking Hills State Park and what started as a daunting and terrible experience AJ Towing was a professional, courteous and understanding. Unfortunately I can not remember the drivers name but honest, and certainly concerned with customer experience. Awesome experience and would recommend this group to anyone THANK YOU.
I had a really great experience with this company. I unfortunately can’t remember the name of the tow truck driver, but he was professional, friendly, and definitely went above and beyond! I locked my keys in the car. Was about a 1 to 1 1/2 hour wait. Which I was about 30 minutes away from them. The driver was there and gone inside 20 minutes and It was 30 dollars less than my insurance wanted to charge me. Overall a pleasant experience for what it was.

Update: I was so happy to see that this company was assigned my lockout. Sadly, when the driver came into the driveway I couldn’t get my dogs into the house fast enough and was told to find another company. I even tried to call the company back and apologize.
The owner showed up after midnight with a smile on his face and jokes to tell. Which we needed. He hauled my son's car home for us. And charged way less than we thought we would be charged. I will definitely be using his services in the future. (Although I hope I'll never need to)
The person that towed me was professional efficient and personable. The person that I called to check on my tow on the other hand was probably the rudest person I have spoken to in my life. It was past the time for them to arrive and I wanted to just get an eta. That is all I said “You have a truck on its way, what is the ETA”,,, boom they were off. It will get there when it Gets there. I said ok. (Shocked) he said however much time it takes him to get from shop to you. I said where is your shop. He said he is not late and it takes what it takes. I said I’m not complaining, I just haven’t heard from anyone for 45 minutes so was trying to get an idea. He went off again and we just said good bye. Wow, again I’ve met and talked to rude people but this guy was a new experience for me. I would have canceled but figured the guy helping me couldn’t be as bad as the guy answering the phone. And I was right. Everything went well after that.
My car was put in a ditch and the driver that responded to my call was exceptionally helpful! Made it to me pretty quick especially with the poor weather, helped me contact the highway patrol, and got me back home. I had the pleasure of being helped by the owner and he really made me feel so much better on a pretty terrible night. I appreciate all of the help you guys have been during and even after the accident!!

Horrible service. It took the driver two hours to pick up from when he said he was on his way, it was only a 25 minute drive to our location. They didn’t drop off to our dealership, saying they don’t don’t night drop offs which is not true. Said they would drop the truck off Sunday but when we called they said they were too busy & would do it on Monday. Had to call multiple times in regards to getting truck transported to the dealership. My father went to the tow shop and the guy was rude to him and told him he didn’t even have the keys (which was a lie). My father asked how they got it off the tow truck and they said they dropped it off the bed. We had to get another tow order from warranty company to get it towed which they tried to charge us $175 for. Truck was finally dropped off Monday but was literally dropped off tow truck when keys were in gas cap where the driver put them. Truck was hanging out of parking spot. Dirt and scratches all over truck. The person was very rude. Stating that’s how they do drop offs all the time. When my husband asked to speak to the owner he was told that the owner would tell him “it’s your fault your truck broke down & you should have bought a better truck!”. Completely unacceptable behavior from a company! Making a formal complaint with the dealership we purchased warranty from and the warranty company who ordered the service from this company. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
Called for lock out service and manager said the truck was headed to the location in 15 minutes. He quoted us $55 and an hour and a half later NO SHOW! I reached him one time and he said the truck should be there within 10 min. That was an hour ago. Now AJ Towing will not answer the phone. This is the second time this has happened with this company. DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY..UNPROFESSIONAL!
I locked myself out of my car about a month ago. The employee got there within 30 minutes and unlocked my car without trouble. I actually had missed a few of calls that let me know that he had arrived. He stayed there anyways until he got a hold of me and was extremely nice about it! 10/10 would recommend!
Hello, your company was called to an accident scene on 7/11/2020 involving my truck. When the driver got there, he needed to pull my truck off of the other car. I explained to him that I felt the truck could be driven home once it was off and would not need towed. He stated that I will not be able to take my truck without paying him first since he is not taking back to his yard because " I don't work for free". this was being taken care of by insurance and my insurance company would have paid the tow. I went ahead and paid it by CC and then was informed that I will be charged 10% for using the card. I know its a tough job, but i feel there was not a need to be rude as he was. I was also informed that i could not leave with my truck until the accident scene was cleaned up. I also feel that almost 200.00 was excessive to charge for about 15 min of work taking my truck off of the other car. It was 2 pulls.Like I said, I know it is a difficult job, But I think it could have been handled a little better. The office guy was nice when I called for my receipt. Got it right away.
Impossible to get a receipt of the bill from this guy! I called earlier today to get a receipt of the tow we were charged for insurance purposes. The guy was not very pleasant over the phone and told me I had to come into his office to pick up a copy so I told him I’d be there today.. Don’t you think when you say “I’ll be in today” that maybe you should have someone at your office? Well when I got to this place (around 11:50am) there was no one there and the place was all locked up. My insurance called and talked to him and he went on to say someone had to come pick it up.. Insurance explained that no one was there when I went to pick it up and he still refused to give them any information. So buddy maybe you shouldn’t tell someone your business hours are 9-5pm and then they drive there and no one is there?? Not a good company to work with! I would recommend anyone other than this guy!
Me and my children were broke down in the dark on a country road we didn't know and had no service and could only call 911. George the owner came and towed my car and gave us a ride home. He was the most awesome person ever. He turned a bad situation into a fun ride and lifted the bad mood. Not the way I wanted to spend Christmas Eve, but if it wernt for A&J Towing then we would of had the worst Christmas eve ever.
Extremely unprofessional and flat out liars. Our new truck died upon arriving to a job site a couple hours away from our company. We were told by our salesman at Medina Auto Mall to call Roadside Assistance and they would schedule a tow (Roadside assistance is also terrible). Unfortunately we did not get a choice in who we would have tow our vehicle and we got the worst of the worst. A&J claims that this was called in as a "light tow" but when we called Roadside assistance they were well aware that this was a 5500 steak bed. A&J claims it was entered in by them wrong. Then claimed that our truck was locked and there wasn't a key in it for towing. Not true. The door was unlocked and the key was under the seat. They then changed their story to say that the door was frozen shut and they could not get in. This was said multiple times. Then they said that they were standing out there with space heaters to try to open the door (such commitment). The owner of our company called the GC at the job site (where the truck is parked at) and he went outside and opened the driver side door without any resistance (must have been that space heater huh). He said to be honest with us that there aren't footprints in the snow, no disturbance around the truck, there hasn't been anyone by your vehicle nor have they seen a tow truck anywhere in the vicinity. They have been watching out for one for us.
Multiple phone calls and multiple lies later - we are assuming that it was the owner - who was confronted with all of the lies then said find someone else to tow your truck good luck and hung up on us. I would highly recommend finding anyone else to tow any of your vehicles.
Our car wouldn't start so we called A&J. Very professional and friendly. Dustin came out in the time frame they stated and was able to get the starter working so we could drive to the dealership to drop it off. Hard working and very professional. Would definitely recommend.
After dealing with a nightmare of a towing company prior, the amazing gentleman who picked up my BMW was very cool, calm, and kind despite my miscellaneous rambling from being slightly stressed from hours prior.
A & J showed up with a flat-bed that made me feel a lot more comfortable with my AWD car. A & J was fair and did not try to hide anything.
Overall, I had an excellent experience with these guys and would recommend them again!
I experienced a flat tire so I contacted Roadside Assistance who dispatched A & J. There was an initial delay (no fault of A&J) due to an emergency in the area that closed the local road. After that resolved, A&J said it would be approximately 1-2 hours ( this should have been around 12:30 PM). When they didn't show, I was told that the driver had just finished a job and would be there in about 15 minutes. Another hour passed so I called again, I was told that the driver got delayed but is on his way. I cited that I understood...I know delays happen. Another hour passed and I call dispatch. This time I'm told that they can't find the driver and they would let me know soon. I waited for a little while longer before I called and requested a different company. I still never got a call back from A&J. Hopefully you found your missing driver.
I locked my keys in my truck and they told me it would take 2 hours to get out there. So I called one of their competitors and they were there within 25 minutes. I understand some businesses may be busy where some are not, that's something that could be easily overlooked. But when I called to get an ETA the person I spoke with was extremely rude and talked over me every chance he could get. That's a little harder to overlook. I would rather break my window out than call these guys to be honest.
My wife locked her keys in the van with it running and I let them know this when I called they had someone at the house in 15 minutes. The gentleman who came out was polite and professional. He had the van unlocked in a matter of minutes. If I have any kind of car trouble I know who I will be calling. Thanks for the excellent service.
