Pick up is on time every week, like almost to the 30 hour even and super friendly. My 4 year old loves to go out and wave at them and they always wave and smile back at her.
Rumpke has been very dependable. I receive email alerts ahead of time if there should be a delay and for upcoming holidays, when pick-up is delayed 1 day. pricing is fare and in some cases it is negotiable.
You’ve skipped our street 4 times this year. I call, you say you will send a truck, and you don’t. It took a call to our mayor for you to actually come the most recent time you skipped. I pay for a weekly service, having to waste my time calling because you didn’t do your job is the ultimate frustration. Do what I pay you to do!
There response with questions has always been timely. I think I speak for everyone that the only thing is I wish we were not charged the gas recovery fee, but completely understand. Keep up the great work.
We have had a lot of trouble with not having our trash picked up until the next day or being skipped entirely. This went on for 3 months. When we are skipped we have to wait 24 hours to report it in order for it to count as a skip. Our pickup day is Thursday, so we report on Friday, it isn't picked up again and the office doesn't accept calls until Monday so our trash sits out over the weekend and then isn't picked up until the next Thursday. Even in this scenario we were skipped again. The Rumpke staff was kind, however could not connect me with a supervisor on the phone, only via email. After many calls our trash has been consistently picked up on time for the last 3 weeks. If this continues over the next several months I will gladly change my rating.
I appreciate the hard work the men do. They work in winter, rain, heat and wind. I appreciate our bin lid being closed and the bin being turned slightly so we know it is empty. You are appreciated. Thank you very much.
We had two large pieces of furniture to be picked up. I called the week before and they scheduled it and picked it up early in the morning with no problem. Wonderful service..
It is easy to request trash pick up services online. They respond quickly. They are definitely priced better than other waste hauling businesses and offer the same services.
We are always pleased with our weekly pick up. The cans are right where we left them — no flying around small pieces of recycling or garbage, also good notifications of delays in service.
The service and the gentleman who collects from my garage area is always excellent. He is respectful and careful coming unto my property. Unfortunately, I live off a shared driveway and the owner does not plow the snow nor repair the destructed driveway, so it’s not always safe for your driver to come down that drive and collect my refuse. I wish Rumpke could assist or be influential in trying to get the owner to be responsible and comply with his easement requirements .
Rumpke has served our needs well. No trouble with picking up extra boxes, garbage, and damaged furniture. Do like the emails that inform us when pickup occurs with holiday schedules.
Called them three times in a week to pick up the trash that was missed on regular scheduled day. They said they will come in 48 hours. Despite calling them every day, it wasn’t picked up. Finally they showed up on a next regular scheduled day. This was not my first experience but had two more in the past but didn’t complain.
Shawn does a great job, friendly, takes all the refuse and keeps the area clean. They are always there about the same time every week and the website is easy to use for holiday schedules and information.
I am very pleased with the service of Rumpke. As long as you set it up, they take about everything. The people who work in the office are a pleasure to deal with when you need to phone in with a special request.

Rumpke is an amazing company. They communicate extremely well with any changes or disruption in service. They pick up anything you put on the tree lawn as long as you follow the safety protocols. And they usually make sure there’s no mess left behind. They took everything I put out during a massive clean out of my ex’s stuff. Great job!
We love our folks who service us in the Sencer area. If we are out with the dogs they usually stop quickly and give the dogs bones. Now whenever they see the Rumpke truck they go running towards the fence with tails' wagging.
Thank you. Your service though these past weeks of brutally cold and windy weather was exceptional. I didn't want to go out but that didn't stop you from doing your job. We are fortunate to have Rumpke in our neighborhood. I was also impressed how effortless it was to work with your customer service department to make a special request and how quickly it was resolved.
Outstanding garbage collection crew! Polite, punctual, and they handle everything with care. Bins are always returned neatly and they’ve never missed a pickup. We really appreciate their hard work—highly recommend!
As someone who runs a business, I'd expect service that at least meets minimum standards. Rumpke fails on so many levels! From not consistently emptying our business dumpster on a biweekly basis to customer service telling us the job had been completed when clearly it was still over flowing. Poor service and lots of excuses.
What would be even more concerning is if Rumpke replied to this review and asked that we contact customer service to resolve our ongoing issues. This is our normal course of action and yet still, nothing ever good comes of it.
We’ve had so many missed pickups - at least a few times a year. I call and sometimes it’s resolved but most times we just have to bring the cans back in and wait a week. I’ve never had that with any other company in all my years (decades) as a homeowner.
I had a question about garbage pickup when we had the heavy accumulation of snow. The customer service representative was so pleasant and helpful. I then seen the message on your web page.
always get a text if they can't make it. weather or holiday. keep being safe to your employee's. another day or week what ever it takes to stay safe this winter.
I'm a senior with health issues. The collector has to get out of his truck, in my situation, which is totally not in my control the way the street is set up. In previous years with another trash service, the collector always got out of his truck and brought my can across the street to the front of the truck. That was less walking for him to go when he had to place it back in front of my house next to my drive, in ALL kinds of weather. Rumpke has been so bad that the collector chooses to back down my street and drag the can to the front of the truck to be collected then he drops it in piles of snow, in the street, or next to my neighbors yard. I have sent them photos of the bad service, along with explanations of health reasons that "should" prevent me from retrieving the can. No one else has this issue on my street. I have a file full of emails calls and photos of this bad service, to Rumpke, and my councilperson. Last week, I watched the collector look at me, as I watched through my window. He was so aggravated that he had to retrieve the can that he was wrestling with it and it started falling over. It was obvious that he didn't want to deal with it. I thought he was considering leaving the can halfway down to neighbors yard, when he got out of the truck and took a few steps, and tossed it over snow, halfway down to the neighbors. There was a perfectly cleaned space that was plowed and cleaned by my city, so that I could place the can out, so this was just the driver from Rumpke that continues to do this. If the drivers ar3ee not physically able to do their job correctly, then why do they have this job? Also why do they think I can do it. Sad part is I don't have so much trash that it is out for collection more than once or twice a month. So this isn't even a weekly thing. I'd think a young healthy man could handle this job. They expect a senior woman with chronic health issues to do it. I'm angry that my taxes pay for this!
Horrible outfit. Routinely miss pick up. Last year more than 6 occasions that were not related to weather. When they do show up, trash ends up all over the neighborhood. Horrible management at the local site. That’s where it starts. Better training and setting higher expectations are needed.
The company is outstanding. Rob and Isiah, who pick up my house on thete route, are excellent! They are hard-working, personable and represent your company extremely well. It's very easy to communicate with the home office/administrative personnel. Overall, Rumpke is a fine organization.
