Ken is polite, honest and clear. He knows SAAB's. The place is very busy.

Had my car for a week and didn’t do any work because they were behind on cars, after I had already made an appointment about 3 weeks in advance. I was told I would receive a quote, which never happened. I ended up having to pick my car up with nothing done because I couldn’t continue to waste money on Lyfts while my car sat at the shop. The shop has a strong reputation, but they are clearly understaffed and dealing with internal management issues. The owner talked to me and said I would have a quote with things priced out by that Friday probably only because I called them 2-3 days after I dropped it off to see if they had a look yet, but that information was never communicated to the staff. After I picked up my car, I was told once again they would call with a quote after they catch up that week. That never happened. Instead, almost a month later, I received a text today asking me to leave a review. This experience was sadly disorganized, poorly communicated, and a waste of time and money. I know they’d be a 5 star place if they didn’t have whatever it is they have going on.

I scheduled an appointment in person with Heights Swedish Auto Solutions to service my 1994 Volvo 940, including a timing belt replacement, complete fluid flush (engine oil, transmission fluid, rear end fluid), and repair of a leaking moonroof. I made the appointment a week in advance, drove the car there, and the shop had already seen the vehicle before confirming they could get me in the following week. I was told it may take a couple of days depending on parts availability, which was completely reasonable. However, after dropping the car off the night before the scheduled service, I received a text the next day saying my car was too old to be serviced, that I didn’t have an appointment, and they even seemed confused about whether it was a Saab or a Volvo. This was extremely concerning considering the appointment was made in person. When I tried calling both phone numbers listed, no one answered, and I couldn’t leave a voicemail because the mailbox was full. Since it was a Friday and I didn’t want my car stuck there over the weekend, I got in my truck and drove over an hour toward the shop. About 3/4 of the way there, I received another text apologizing for the confusion and saying they would get my car looked at. When I arrived, the employee I originally booked with apologized and explained the text was sent by someone working remotely who “didn’t know what was going on.” But then I was told I should probably take my car anyway because they had no idea when they’d actually get to it. I brought my Volvo here specifically because of the strong reviews and reputation for Volvo/Saab expertise, but this experience was disorganized and frustrating. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning.

Courteous scheduling and reliable work by experienced car people. I have used Swedish Solutions for my Volvo C30 for 14 years. Still going strong.

Thorough and comprehensive inspection, test drive and triage RE: current condition (very good for a 14-year-old Volvo XC60 we bought a year ago), upcoming maintenance / repair scenario — all very useful in our process, determining whether to keep this good car going, or update to a newer model of the same, with more safety updates…… courteous and valuable services.

If it wasn’t for Swedish Solution I wouldn’t still be driving my 1998 Volvo V70. The crew working there are the best. Very polite and up front with what needs to be addressed on your vehicle. Wouldn’t take my Volvo anywhere else.

Two weeks ago I schedule an appointment for today, June 3rd, to get an estimate to repair a suspension issue on my Audi 6. I dropped the car off at 8:15am. After not hearing back from them by text or phone, at 3:30 I called and no one picked up the phone. So, I had my wife drive me to the shop, and no one had any idea about my car and whether there was an inspection. I waited another 20 minutes to talk to the owner, who had no answer as to why no one looked at my car. He just shrugged his shoulders, and said "we're really busy." I was blown away by the absolutely incompetent and chaotic business this is. I wasted an entire day. People should know they are irresponsible to their customers. Even the mechanics agreed. Go somewhere else!

Very quick turnaround. Very detailed inspection and report of all components of my car. Parts ordered immediately after I approved for them to do repairs, arrived the following morning, car was fixed the same afternoon. Very friendly and helpful staff. Highly professional. Pricing is not unreasonable. Will definitely use them again if I ever need to.

The customer service is excellent here. I’ve been burned by taking my car in to the neighborhood dealership and decided to give Swedish Solutions a try. I asked them to do an oil change most importantly but to give the car a check up for any other maintenance. They gave it a clean bill of health, didn’t try to upsell or tell me something needed to be done when it really didn’t (past experiences from said dealership). I feel they are very honest and very capable. My car runs like a dream. I’ll definitely be back!

Got into a car accident right outside of this place, car was screwed. Randomly came here. Matt was excellent. Crew is so friendly. Got me in and out within a few days. Car runs better than ever. I’m so thankful I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. I went here with no insight best service I have ever received. Thank you guys so much!

So far the diagnoses have been helpful and kept my car running, not always cheap but that's part of owning a German car these days too. only thing keeping this from being a five-star review is the online reservation service, which seems completely ineffectual. If you want to make an appointment, just call them, because in my experience they will never respond to an online portal submission. I have tried seven or eight times to make an appointment online now with no response even after waiting a week to hear back. Might as well ditch the online form entirely if there's no system in place to respond to those inquiries.

It was a seamless transaction. I was given a rental car while my car was in their care. My car came back to me feeling better than when I dropped her off. Would recommend to other Volvo owners.

Excellent service! I really appreciate the clear communication and friendly people. Use of a loaner car made it so easy to fit the service my car needed into my busy schedule.

Heights is the only place I'll take my V70R. Every estimate is backed up with photos, every question answered patiently, and a cool selection of loaners(!).. The tech who works on your car will come out and show you, via pictures, exactly what he did, and why. Front of the house is likewise super friendly and accommodating, and the prices are fair. I drive almost 50 miles to bring my car to these guys, and in 2 years and numerous visits, I still don't have a single gripe. If your looking for that "cool indie specialist" for your Vo, you can stop now... this is that place.

Service was moderately priced across the industry, but service advisor Matt Stepp. He has anger problems, I asked for one particular service to be repaired and I provided the failed test. document, but Matt wanted to charge me $200 to perform the same test and get the same results that I provided him prior to the service. Then after I was double charged and paid for it, Matt step Proceeded to get angry in the shop in front of other customers. Because the I challenged his billing of the diagnostic. That was unnecessary because I brought him the diagnostic report prior to him servicing my vehicle. Withstanding, I got my refund. For services unnecessary, but beware that service guy Matt Stepp. He has anger issues. The girls up front were very nice and the service was done timely.

Very disappointed with my first experience at this shop. Took my 2012 Volvo S60 in over a front end clunk. Was suggested to replace the lower control arms, sway bar links and struts as one was leaking. Also did the rear trailing arm bushings and a four wheel alignment. I approved all but the sway bar links and struts as I would do them myself. Got to the struts a week after my visit and this is one of the tie rod ends they aligned my car with (see videos). Both sides were like this. No mention that it was in need of replacement. They also re-used my axle bolts which is a HUGE no-no as these are torque to yield. If they backed out my axle could've fell out. If the tie rod end separated I would've lost control of my car! There were several opportunities to notice this and I would've happily approved repairs. Extremely unsafe to send a car home like this, someome is going to get seriously hurt if this is the standard Service holds themselves to. +1 only for the staff I interacted with during the car's visit. Everyone was helpful and the repairs were completed in a timely fashion.

I very rarely post a review, and even more rarely post a negative review. My experience with Swedish Solutions compels me to let others know my experience. I had a simple issue. I just needed a key fob reprogrammed or replaced. SS was in my neighborhood and reviews were okay, so I made an appointment there instead of driving to a Volvo dealer. As the Volvo was my only car in Cleveland, I was car-less while they had it. Day one: they were not able to finish., but they promised it would be ready the next day. Day 2: Could not finish, because the owner had the only computer capable of reprogramming. They promised that day three would be better. They would call me on the morning of day 3. Day 3: Ghosted! No call, so I called them four times but they would not answer or return my voicemails. I DID get a call from the service rep at 2:30 AM the next morning but he later apologized for the call, saying he accidentally called me. Never an apology for being ignored. I called a dealer that afternoon (Motorcars Volvo) and they easily took care of the issue. I highly recommend the dealer. I learned my lesson.

I dropped my car off there in March to have a few things fixed and a few parts installed. They told me they were pretty busy, I said no rush. Well, a month later they hadn't even looked at the car yet, so I started asking if they could please work on it. Another month went by and they finally at least told me what was wrong, and quoted me $6300 to repair. To be fair, BMWs are expensive to fix. But you'd think for that much money, they'd, you know, fix it. Apparently their BMW guy just left one day, so my car sat there. The owner kept apologizing and telling me he expected them to get it to it next week, and he'd call with an update. They neither started working on it, nor called me with updates. That went on for probably another month. We're at about 4 months now and I still don't have my car. I just got off the phone with them and they're hoping for next week. I imagine it'll be another 2-3 weeks, maybe longer. Seriously, after taking this long they should have just given me my car back so I could take it somewhere else. I've been paying insurance on it and I can't drive it. And mind you, I'm a single father without any transportation due to them. To be fair, the owner said he'd try to get me a loaner car if I really needed one. Update: Trying to be fair. I'm still very displeased with everything, but they just called me and said they found my clutch line was rusted, so they're repairing it free of charge. I'm bumping it up from 1 star to 2. I'm still very displeased overall.

I have been a loyal customer of Swedish solutions in Cleveland Heights for many years. And I can confidently say that your service is unparallowed. The team's professionalism expertise and dedication to customer satisfaction are truly commendable. They take the time to explain the necessary repairs in a way that's easy to understand ensuring I'm well informed about my vehicle's needs. Their commitment to timeliness is impressive. And understand the importance of having a vehicle and always strive to complete the work as quickly as possible without compromise. I highly recommend them if you were seeking top-notch service, fair pricing and a team that treats you fairly.

I’ve been bringing cars to Swedish Solutions for nearly 15 years. They’ve been consistently courteous, fair, and accommodating. I trust their advice without hesitation. We bring my Audi here, but they’re equally capable and also service my husband’s Subaru.

I’ve been coming here regularly since the winter of 2021 for basic work such as oil changes. I also stopped in to discuss new wheels and tires for another car and everyone has been friendly, accommodating, patient. The location is convenient and it’s a pleasure to support this local business. You never “want” to get your car worked on since it always means $$$ but when it must be done, this is a great place to go.

Swedish Solutions has a great team working there! I was in a crunch with my car and thankfully they were able to take it in at last minute while other shops were pushing me out months. Very quick turnaround time and very competitive pricing with other shops. They go the extra distance for their customers for sure! Highly recommend and look no further.

I had heard of Swedish Solutions, but I had never taken my Volvo to be serviced there. I'd always gone to the dealership. I needed an oil change, but didn't feel like driving far. And I have been unhappy with my dealership as of late. I had received a coupon in the mail last week, so I decided to go. Everyone was super friendly, and in this crazy time, they were practicing social distancing and wiping down the chairs, counters, and doorknobs. As someone in health care, I appreciate that. Anyway, I also ended up having my tires rotated as well, and the price was very reasonable. They mentioned an issue with my vehicle that I will be back to have taken care of. My dealership said that there were some things on my vehicle that needed repair. Turns out that they don't. I appreciate the honesty of this business, and I don't feel that they are taking advantage of the fact that I'm a female. They have a new customer! I raved to my husband about how pleased I am, and how I should have gone to Swedish Solutions sooner. He said that he is going to take his vehicle there too. I told him that he won't be disappointed!

I have been looking for a new place to get work done that wasn't the dealership, and I have heard of Swedish Solutions, but finally came after being recommended by a friend. Service was top notch, and the were speedy. The price was very fair and the staff (Matt was the one I interacted with most) were all friendly and transparent. I brought my Volvo in yesterday, and they arranged a ride to get me home, and picked me this morning when it was ready. Car feels great, and I will be back.

I've taken my 2011 Volvo C30 here for several things now despite their shop is a bit out of my way. Which if I'm honest I think everything in Cleveland Heights is a bit out of the way with no direct highways. Tires, custom camber adjustments, alignments, some miscellaneous repairs... Most recently the engine in my car skipped timing and cause the valves to get bent. They did a phenomenal job getting my car in and back on the road within a week. They kept me updated and I had them do a few extra preventative items while they had the head off. This was an expensive repair but I believe their pricing is fair. And owning a Volvo I know parts aren't cheap. You get what you pay for. I really appreciate their hard work and honesty. The guys that work at the shop are all very nice and knowledgeable. They always have answers for my questions and they're just nice to chat with. They appreciate the cars they work on - Especially knowing I'm an enthusiast. It's nice knowing I can take my car to a place that has an understanding and appreciation for what my car means to me. I try to do my own work on my car when I can but I will continue to use them for big jobs I highly recommend you do to.

I have been using These guys since I moved to OH in 2012 and I love them. They are always up front with their pricing and the work is always top notch. It’s definitely worth the drive from my neck of the woods.
