A wrench light came on in my dash while traveling to this area. I explained to the guys that I came from 8 hours away and needed to make it home the next day. One of the guys brought a scan tool out to my car. The light had gone out and there was no code. He checked all the fluids and even checked online for any answers. He went above and beyond to make sure we would be able to get home even though it looked like we wouldn't be purchasing anything. We are extremely grateful for his help.

Sexist, just like other reviews I've seen. Also couldn't diagnose a basic battery test. Needed a battery test because my battery was dead this morning. Was asked immediately when I went in if I was going to buy a battery there. I told them honestly I had a warranty elsewhere, but they were the closest place for me to get a test to be sure it was just battery, so no. The young guy came out and when we approached my vehicle I went to pop the hood and he asked "do you know what you're looking for in there?" before I even got my door open. After he tested it, he said the battery was ok but he just started there 5 days ago and loves to sell things so he'd still sell me one but that the test indicated it was ok and if "next door" (National Tire and Battery) tested those numbers they wouldn't even tell me anything was wrong and he wouldn't recommend to get a new one. Proceeded to ask me if I had a boyfriend that could help me later to which I pointed to the car beside me and informed him that was my wife. Took the battery to get it tested elsewhere and it immediately failed. Will never come back here as I do not feel like being treated like an idiot because I'm a woman is somewhere I'm going to give business to.

As a female, going to a advance auto parts to simply find out a code for my vehicle and what it could possibly be. A short Latino man told me to pull my vehicle up, and I said to him told me to take a picture of he said go figure it out. I said I’m not familiar with so are there options as I was considering getting my part here I don’t do any of that. Just go figure it out Google it. You took a picture of the code. I told you to go figure it out. I have never been so insulted and treating with such little respect Any adequate auto parts store would want to upsell me by giving me some options, but this man was very rude. I will never return there again.

I went to the store not knowing ; confused on what’s parts to get for my car but lucky for me an employee named Cris was there to help me out .He was knowledgeable and very professional he got me on the road in no time …will definitely be going back to this location. Great store and good worker!

I went here to buy a couple items for my partners car maintenance, and they were sexist and difficult the entire way through my experience in store today. My partner doesn’t know anything about cars, can’t tell you the full info on his cars model. I, the women, do our oil changes, maintenance, and take them for their inspections each year. I came to buy more windshield wiper fluid, oil, and an oil filter. They tried for several minutes to refuse to sell it to me because they didn’t think I knew. One person refused to ring me up entirely, the other, an older man, fought with me on it. I told him what car it was, he said okay but if it’s not that car this won’t fit, and still fought with me. As if I don’t know what car it is! Beyond frustrating, I’m just trying to get some chores done and I have to fight with this man about vehicles we own. Do better

I really appreciate Aaron and the team's assistance today. They did not have any issue with walk-ins and were also very respectful. Ironically, all the customers, like myself, were all women by themselves. That's saying a lot! And I'm sure many female drivers will understand exactly what I mean.

I bought a replacement battery for my daughter's car back in March of 2022. Today (Jan 31 2024) the battery died. I went back to Advance Auto to get a new battery and was pleasantly surprised when the technician told me the one I had purchased was still under warranty by 1 month or so and thus, they would replace it for free. They even installed it for me. Both of the young men I dealt with were professional and helpful. Rarely do we get that type of service any more. Thanks to Gabriel for installing the battery and the whole team at Advance auto for a fantastic experience.

Carter from the Kildaire Cary Advance Auto provided exceptional service. He was at the tail end of his shift and went the extra mile removing and prepping the battery install in my JX. Its nice to know that great service still exists in this "quiet quitting" culture. Great job Advance.

David from advanced auto came out To my vehicle because I requested that he test the battery he told me to turn the vehicle off which I was very hesitant of but he reassured me I would not be stranded that he had a jump pack. As soon as he tried the jump pack and it did not work he left me for another customer until I went back into the store asking them to please not leave me and my daughter stranded outside. At which point nobody in the store would help with their car (he said he didn't own one) which there are only 2 men inside at the time and the jump pack again would not work. After I asked him to please not leave me stranded once again as he was going to walk away and had already told me that his pack had been working for 8 years, he said That he was not going to help me unless I got off of my phone and stopped being q smarta** , this was in front of another customer. It's really cold outside my daughter is with me I just needed them to jump the battery off And if the pack did not work then I understand but I do not understand the lack of help or the disrespect. I had to call my mother and have her come out with my sick son just for me to jump my car off and it took less than 30 seconds. As he watched from the inside with not a care in the world. I don't usually come to advanced auto parts but I would definitely not recommend this to anyone.

GreatExperience in advance auto parts of Kildaire. An employee named Grayson was able to help test my battery and hooked me up with a replacement that I was shocked they had stock. and it was an overall awesome experience.

Went in for new wiper blades, and the lady behind the counter was very helpful. I told her I didn't want to spend a fortune but didn't want to get the cheapest ones either. Then they helped me put them on the car! Thanks a million!

Chris was amazing. Changed my battery for me, and it was not easy. He remained courteous and professional. As for his manager, not so much. He made sure I knew that me coming in at that time, I should have been turned away.

Henry at the store in Cary NC on kildaire farm road was extremely rude to me because I came in at 8:30pm for a new battery. He was extremely pushy and overly aggressive towards me. I had a coworker with me who was doing the removal and install. I asked if they install and he told me it was too late. He kept asking me “why at this time?” would my car break down, as if I could answer that question. The supervisor Shatitka took over after a while and apologized for his behavior. She completed my transaction otherwise I would’ve went somewhere else. Auto Zone perhaps. I always have great service there and their employees go out of their way to help customers.

I'd called the store around 6:30 PM on a Saturday night because of Jiffy Lube neglecting to replace my skid plate's bolts after an oil change. Douglas, the manager, immediately picked up the phone and said I could meet him at the store to take a look at my vehicle. Within a matter of minutes, Douglas had fixed the issue for me. Excellent experience!

Stopped to get my battery checked because there was evidence of corrosion. Unfortunately, I didn't get the person's name who helped me. He was very kind and helpful. He discovered that the terminal was loose, cleaned it, and reconnected/tightened it. Great experience.

Went here to fix some issues with my car’s battery. Catie and Josiah were unbelievably helpful. They did diagnosis, and knew which parts to get, what to do with them, and they were really upbeat and nice while doing it. Even though there isn’t a part designed to fix the issue I was having, they figured out a solution. Treat these folks well and look for them when you go!

I went there today to purchase some cabin air filters and an engine air filter, which I know nothing about. Fitz was very nice and quick to help! He was able to look up what specific filter I needed, and even got them for me, so all I had to do was pay. I barely know anything about car parts, but Fitz made it easy and stress free and I saved tons of money in the long run changing them myself.

I’m in the store a lot because I love working on my own vehicles. Love that it’s so close when I need a tool and my car isn’t driveable. The only thing I dislike about this store is the clerks are hit or miss. Some are super friendly and polite while others are very rude. While most are great, they are going to start losing more and more business to Amazon if they don’t treat the customers well.

Only parts store in town I will use. Staff is always helpful. They do their best to make sure you are getting the correct part for your application. Most of the time, I see a staff member assisting a customer in the parking lot as well. I know this is a service that all part stores offer, but rarely see in action. Not the case at this location. I will also mention, I hold a commercial account at this location, even though my shop is on the other side of town....for a reason. Their service is always on point.

I like this store, but an older gentleman (if I call him that) wasn't very customer friendly. He had an accent. Everyone else has always been very nice and friendly. Too bad that one person affects the overall review. Otherwise I would rate much higher.

Every time I have been in recently George has been courteous and helpful, and he's obviously knowledgeable, all valuable things which can't be said about some of the other employees of this store in the past. (I've gotten my car parts from this store almost exclusively for 5 years now.) Ryan was always helpful and provided great customer service too but I've not seen him around for a while.

Me and my father went to this store to get a new battery for his key fob. We asked one of the employees if they could assist in replacing the battery, and the gentleman told us "we cannot do it as it is a liability and we do not want to be responsible taking the fob apart". Then we asked if they can look up the model battery, and he refused to help me as well. I am not satisfied with the gentleman I dealt with and wish I got his name. Very unprofessional and rude. So another employee saw what happened and ask if we wanted him to do it for us, which we agreed to let him do. It took him two minutes to do and I was completely satisfied. That's what I call customer service, unlike the other gentleman I dealt with. Hopefully my next trip there isn't a repeat, or else I'll willingly go to a different store.
