when you're going to replace an appliance, it's better to bring your old one to hear then they will pay you for it rather than charging you at the city dump or with Lowe's or any other retail store they're gonna charge you but if you take it to a Y they will pay you
Just went for car parts. It'd be nice if they had Chevrolet in one spot, Ford in one spot, etc. They are scattered around. Be cautious where you step there is stuff everywhere.

Drove 3 hrs to find parts I was quoted were gone and had been gone for a long time , the bolt holes were rusted where the parts mounted. Made four attempts to clearly communicate before driving there to only get a response ten minutes before I arrived.
Great place to go and buy your parts for a vehicle that is broke down and you need a good deal the good place to start your search also if you want to do your part and recycling they also have a recycling center
I give them 3 stars for their fair prices. Their inventory is bad. They might have around 25 cars, trucks, and suvs altogether. The vehicles they do have are all almost completely stripped or unusable. They do have a decent scrap yard though...
Not very friendly. I drove a good way to get a part to find out it was obviously the wrong part I needed. ANY car guy would have known it was the wrong part.
Almost like any shipper I've been to, for months I've been lazy. Someone referred me to this place. I showed up dropped my copper, hit the scales dropped 580 pound of junk, checked out scaled out and i was gone with a check. Quick easy and simple.
They are not open to 4:45 the hours have not been changed on the website. You have to be across the scale by 3:45 i spent my last few bucks to get there by 4:45 just to find out they are closed.
Being fair scrap prices are down about .o5 cents per pound but when I roll onto the scale I like to see my wieght onthe digital reader but last few times its not been on makes a person wonder if you have Cooper be sure you have a file mark on it to prove it's Cooper or they trying paying you electric moter price for your cooper all in all with prices being so low the convience of being closes. Out ways other issues
Great place to take your "junk" and turn into cash ( if you have a lot) prices of EVERYTHING has dropped, but if I had to pick a place it would be here.
Horrible horrible people. Just because of someone's appearance they will accuse you of stealing!! No moral values at all... I just don't understand people these days, especially the ones trying to run a business because treating people like that turns people away!! I've told all my friends and family about the experience and will continue to do so. FYI folks at A&Y: karma always prevails and it's just not nice to treat people like that.
One of the best scrap yards in Rockingham County. They pay decent prices. If you are looking for used car parts check them out. It might save you a trip to Greensboro or Winston-Salem.
They use to be really good on prices. My fiance has pulled parts for them AND their customers. Now their prices are absolutely rediculous and I will never be back. The same parts at LKQ and pull a part are $100 cheaper! Save your money and go somewhere else!
