Brought my Honda in to get the harmonic balancer replaced, and the mechanic that worked on it proceeded to tell me the crankshaft was to wallered at the keyway to be usable and that I would have to replace the crankshaft. So I was charged labor for what was already done along with a $75 towing bill in which I live a mile from the shop. A friend of mine that happens to be a mobile diesel mechanic came out to the house and welded up the damage and regrinded the keyway. Took him 2.5 hours start to finish and charged me $250.00. Wont be doing anymore business with this place.

Leaving one star feels generous, but I am sharing this to help others make an informed decision. Our tire blew out after a snowstorm. We installed a spare just to get by, but due to incorrect lug nuts, the e-brake was damaged. We rely on this vehicle for work and daily life, and it is our only transportation. With another storm approaching, time was critical. We had the vehicle towed less than three miles to this shop, which cost $100. At that point, we were told we likely needed two tires and possibly a repair. We expected clear communication and timely service. Unfortunately, that did not happen. Over the next three days, we repeatedly had to call for updates because no one contacted us. Each time, we were given different information: first a possible hub assembly, then that it was “in a queue,” then that a specialist would look at it. We were promised a call by noon on Friday. Friday a bad snow storm was coming, and I had explained to them on Thursday that I understand our car is in line, but we really just need the two tires on before end of friday. That call never came. When we called at 12:45 PM Friday, we were told the bolts could not be rethreaded and were dismissed on the phone. Hours passed with no further update. Later that afternoon, we asked that the car at least be reassembled so we could tow it elsewhere. We made it very clear that we still wanted the two new tires we had ordered. When we arrived, we were shocked. The vehicle was sitting outside in pieces, in worse condition than when it arrived. No tire was mounted. The rim and parts were lying on the pavement. Additionally, we were informed that our new tires had already been sent back earlier that day without notifying us. The owner later acknowledged this was a mistake. We were left with a disassembled, undrivable car and no replacement tires. When we asked for the old tire to be mounted so a tow truck could safely load the vehicle, we were told it would cost another $200. Even making the vehicle minimally transportable was initially refused. The shop first attempted to charge labor for this situation. Only after we calmly reviewed the timeline, and the fact that the car is now worse than when we brought it, and the returned tires were the charges waived. While we appreciated that the bill was waived, the larger issue remained: after three days, our only vehicle was returned to us in pieces, just before another winter storm. What we asked for was simple: Two tires, honest communication, and our car returned in one piece. What we experienced was: • Repeated lack of updates • Changing explanations • Parts returned without notice • A vehicle returned disassembled • Added stress during dangerous weather We are documenting the condition of the vehicle and any additional repairs required. If you depend on your vehicle and expect clear communication and responsible handling, I strongly recommend considering other options. This was one of the most stressful service experiences we have ever had. Please go elsewhere.

I have been here three times already with my Tesla, and every time I get the same great service and respect. The front desk works hard, and the mechanics are always on the ball. Timely and reasonably priced. Thank you, Pierce.

Everytime I come in for a service they’re so good at what they do, and the front desk staff is so nice. I never feel awkward going in there as a girl either. I recommend this place highly to anyone in this area!!

THEY WILL RUIN YOUR CAR SO THEY CAN MAKE MORE MONEY!!!!I went there just for a tire alignment. They tried to say that my tie rods were bent. I looked they were not. They loosened my lug nuts for me to drive on and said my wheel was moving side to side. Well when you loosen the lug nuts that's gonna happen. And now it's making more noise then it did and they only had it for 10 minutes. Everyone says not to go here please don't they will ruin your car. Now we might have to get more in repairs then before. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!

### Unacceptable Delays and Incomplete Service caused by Overbooking Appts.### My experience at Pierce Tire and Service Center for a scheduled wheel alignment was incredibly disappointing and a significant waste of my time. I arrived at 2:50 PM for my 3:00 PM appointment. Despite being punctual, my car wasn't even driven back to the bay until 3:55 PM, nearly an hour after my scheduled time. This alone is unacceptable, especially when customers are expected to be on time themselves. At 3:55 PM, the nice receptionist stated the service "should take until about 5:00 PM," which I now realize was an inaccurate estimate. To my further frustration, at 4:15 PM, she returned to tell me they were "only able to do half of the alignment" and that the camber adjustment would "take too long today,". This clearly indicates the appointments for that day were severely overbooked, and my delay directly led to incomplete service. If the alignment service was suspected to possibly take longer than 2 hours, I feel as though a prior notice to this fact would have been helpful. Had my appointment started at 3:00 PM as scheduled, there would have been ample time to complete the full service. Instead, I'm left with an unfinished job and the expectation to make *another* appointment with their center, which I absolutely will not be doing. Now I have to make a separate appointment almost two weeks after this, and even though Pierces didn't charge me for the "half-service" that was claimed to be done (I was not shown any evidence that even half the service was completed), two separate mechanics I talked to subsequently said they will still have to do the full service and I will have to pay full price because they can't "vouch for another mechanics work", and that there will "more than likely be additional imbalance because it was left half done". So in effect, this shop cost me time and more money than this entire process should have cost. This level of unprofessionalism and disregard for a customer's time is simply not acceptable. I will not be returning to this establishment, and will be discouraging anyone from using its services.

After blowing a tire on our fifth wheel camper on the interstate and calling 2 camper shops and their associated tire shops with no luck, Peirce quickly responded through call and text to determine what we needed and how to help. They immediately came to us on the side of the interstate, took our wheel to their shop, brought it back, and mounted it. They were kind and helpful ensuring we would be able to continue on our family vacation.

Due to the mechanics incompetence because damage to my wheel charged me to take off a lug nut that he used the wrong socket on even though they deny it. But it is obvious and there's not enough room in this box to explain. But I got two different explanations. The owner said it was cross threaded which it wasn't. The other one said oh it's been taken off too many times. I've taken it off myself. I've had other mechanics. Take it off this my will without incident which this mechanic evidently messed up which is it can happen but lied. Also they did not allow me to come out in the shop and observe what was going on. I am totally disappointed in you. Mickey, you cost me money and we might end up in court. And let me add as you can see in the photo. My wheel was scarred. That will cost $200 new and if you can find it over $100 used.

Hang out for a while and see what a miserable place it is. The owner is a tyrant and short with customers, and employees. I had sworn off going there after damage done by them on other cars, but needed an inspection. Sure enough, my parking lights weren’t working, so they whacked (the wrong) relays trying to get them working. More damage, and charged me for the time. Now I’m buying more parts to fix their incompetence, again.

A few months ago I took my car in for an inspection. My partner and I have been coming to Pierce Tire since we moved to Tryon and had become regulars. I was patiently sitting in the waiting room for about 10 minutes when a man in a big fancy truck walked in requesting an inspection, same as me. I watched everyone ooh and ahh at his truck, including the lady at the front desk. She promptly grabbed his keys, fetched someone to pull his truck around, inspected his truck, and checked him out all while I was still sitting in the waiting room. It wasn't until a few minutes after the customer left that she walked outside to BEGIN inspecting my car. When it was time for me to pay, I asked politely, "Did that guy who came in after me have an appointment? I'm wondering why he was served before me when I had already been waiting here." She responded that no, he did not have an appointment and she was simply "doing what was in front of her". I explained to her that I thought it was a first come first serve basis and she responded by saying I would be waiting much longer if I were to get my car inspected at Stott's down the road. She gave no apology and stared at me like I was out of line for even asking. I waited 30 minutes total for a 2 minute inspection while another customer that came in after me waited 10 minutes. Then I was dismissed for daring to ask why that was the case. The disrespect of your long-time front desk lady has made you lose loyal customers who spend a lot of money at your shop. All she had to do to make me happy was admit to her mistake and thank me for my patience. It's embarrassing to have a local place treat long-time customers that way. I'm following up on this because I DID go to Stott's this time and they served me promptly and with respect.

I had a tire blow out on the highway. I took the blown tire to them and asked them to diagnose the cause of the blowout. They refused to do so. Then, they convinced me I could not just replace the blown tire; I needed to buy 4 new tires so they would have the same amount of wear (the old tires were still in good shape). AFTER they replaced the 4 tires, they told me the blown tire had a screw in it. I was not happy at this point, as the only reason I replace them all was due to I concerns that all the tires may be faulty and I may be at risk for another blowout. Now knowing this was not the case, I asked them to remove the unnecessary new tires and put my old tires back on. They said they would only do so if I paid them to do it. I asked to speak with one of the owners, and they never called me. Do not recommend.

Got a flat tire driving through the mountains. Pulled into a gas station at 8:30pm and called. Nickey drove over to the gas station to look at my car/situation. Very nice, honest, and did a great job helping me get back on the road.

Stoppped in by recommendation from Advanced Auto. Needed to have some idiot lights tested that couldn't be done at any auto parts store. Pierce took my vehicle right in and within 25 mins, told me what the issue was and what they could do to fix it. They gave me an appointment for the next day, and I dropped it off later that evening when the wife got home from work. The next morning, they called and told me it was complete. They repaired a broken wire going to my speed sensor. This meant that the repair cost was quite a bit lower than an entire replacement. I really appreciated the fact that they were trying to save me money. I realize that this isn't a guaranteed fix like replacing the entire sensor and wiring harness, but it may just do the trick long term. Heck, replacing the entire sensor and harness isn't a guaranteed fix either. I've seen new parts off the shelf that don't work, so I appreciate everything these guys did. I would definitely recommend these guys to anybody looking for a good, honest mechanic. Since that 1st time, Pierce has been my go to place for maintenance & inspections. They are very reliable, quick, convenient, & friendly. Years later Pierce is still my go to place.

Excellent customer service hands down!!!! I was in NC visiting family i am from Pennsylvania and my radiator went out in my vehicle while visiting. First thing Monday morning they took my car right back looked at it.Sweet Gia ordered the part right away and they did everything they could to have my car finished by the next day so we could get on the road and home to our kids. I wish they were closer to our home my husband and I would definitely use them with our car needs. A special thank you to Gia, Justin, Lee, and Mickey for going above and beyond with your sweet southern hospitality. We made it home safe and sound thanks to them!!! Definitely recommend this shop!!!!

Do not go there for a vehicle inspection, I paid $24 for an inspection on November 10, and went to get my tag on November 27. They never put my inspection into the DMV system, and kept my money. Checking the receipt I was printed on November 10 it was for someone else’s car. I had to go elsewhere and pay for another inspection. Office personnel obviously does not know what they are doing, lack of follow through.

Used for U-Haul rental. The older gentleman was rude and the truck didn't have any gas and the cab had ants. They had not inspected the truck although the reservation was made ten days prior. It took half an hour for two people to figure out my rentaI even though I had completed all of paperwork online. I filed a formal complaint with U-Haul as to the unprofessionalism received at this location. I wouldn't recommend giving this place any business.

I previously left a negative review and later corrected it but decided to delete and just post a new one. The first review was basically we didn't get off on the right foot about a year ago but that has since changed. Anyway, I've gotten 2 sets of run flat tires done here, an HID headlight on one car and both regular type lights on another. They have been absolutely wonderful every time and helpful. I'm sure it's not every day they have to order the things my car requires (a different local shop told me they had never heard of run flat tires for a Camaro. They come stock on the car and a place I can trust to get my baby's new shoes should know that) but it's always in by the next day and I know this ahead so it isn't an issue. Price wise they are cheaper than most other places and they have that small town feel. I'm greeted by name, and feel that any other problems I may encounter I can ask them first if they can handle it before having to go to the dealership. My husband had a leak in a tire on his car and they were able to patch it up the same day. So they are also efficient if you are in a pinch. Thank you guys so much for taking care of our car needs!! If you're local, and even if you aren't and have a car need they most likely will be able to help you. If I experience any other services I'll update this review.

Been going to Pierce Tires for a few years now for all our car needs. Today will be the last day we take our cars there. For the past few years they have passed our car for its yearly inspection. Today they said they could not pass our car due to the window tinting. The cars window tint hasn’t changed since we bought the automobile. Apparently it was fine the last few years we brought it to Pierce but this year the tint doesn’t pass? I get it….if it doesn’t pass then it doesn’t pass, but tell me that the first time I brought it to you years ago. Just don’t pass it every year then decide today you can’t pass it. The young lady who checked it was just doing her job, but the inconsistency in the way the business operates is frustrating. It’s a shame but I will bring my business and money elsewhere to another outfit after this experience.

Another outstanding experience with this great garage. Professional, very knowledgeable and customer oriented. On short notice, they were able to order a critical component for the electrical system on my car. While it was being fixed, they drove me back and forth to my home—multiple trips. They are super friendly and courteous. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

I called needing roadside tire service. They didn't have anyone available, so Brittany referred me to another company. The company she referred did an excellent job. Being from out of town, this was a life saver. I called Brittany several times, and she was always very polite and helpful. I would certainly recommend their customer service to anyone.

We were in the area 11/13/20 on the highway in our RV and had a tire stem blow. Pierce Tire was recommended by a local and they were super helpful by phone, then said they had someone in our area that could help us. He came quickly, with jacks and tools, took the tire back to their shop, and brought it back fixed in short order. Thanks Pierce Tire for getting us back on the road quickly.

We were making a trip from TN to Charleston SC pulling our boat on a Saturday when the trailer tires started coming apart on both sides, found Pierce on a Google search and let me say I'm glad we found them. They had the tires in stock and had someone meet us at their shop in a timely manner, replaced both tires and had us on our way. Great service 5 stars all the way!!!!!

I had a previous review as excellent. Now I have to with dismay change as they have appeared to be dishonest with me. I took my 3500 dually truck for a wheel alignment and when I had tires installed they showed me how nothing was adjusted. That explains why they couldn't provide me a before and after machine readout. Apparently their wheel alignment machine cannot even accommodate a truck as large as mine. So they took my $80 and did nothing. They never said we cannot do your wheel alignment. My suggestion is to stay away. I will never go back with any of my vehicles for anything.

Fast, friendly service. We were heading back to Florida after a trip to the mountains and had a tire blow out. We called for a tow from another company who recommended for us to call Pierce based on our location. Tow showed up fairly quickly and we had a new tire put on in no time.

Good local tire and routine service shop and very convenient for state inspections. Staff is friendly and very efficient. I can get two cars inspected in a single morning without a reservation by rotating them in and out with no waiting. They are honest and never try to upsell you on services or parts like wipers when doing the inspection.

Very friendly and comfortable atmosphere! Great prices. Very trustworthy and knowledgeable staff. We brought a vehicle we were thinking about buying in for an inspection. We were seen immediately and given an extremely thorough inspection. They were so great, we brought our new vehicle back for an oil change and safety inspection even though they are an hour from where we live. We really enjoyed their warm and friendly hospitality. I would recommend them to anyone. FIVE STARS!
