I just recently purchased a used 2018 Ford Escape
I had taken the car in to have fluids changed along with serpentine belt . Mavis said I needed new struts and shocks. Along with new control arm in driver side. This was major work done at Mavis. Once the completed the work my car was shaking. It wasn’t doing this before I took it in. I returned to tell Mavis there is something wrong. They said the axel needed replacing Mavis ganged this at no cost. However the car was still shaking.SoI took it to Ford , they said I needed a axel on passenger side after they replaced the axel it was still shaking, they said I needed a new control arm along with new motor. I was devastated. I decided I was taking it to East side. That’s when I went and seen Ken. He assured me everything was going be okay. They have a master mechanic. They would find out what is going on with my car., he assured me if it is the motor they can fix it. Ken called me saying your car is done, I will see you down here. OF course I had questions. He said he would explain everything when I get there. The major work I had done at other shops the bolts weren’t tightened. They fixed the problem for free. I immediately was saying no I owe you something for the work you have done. Ken said no ! Now start the car and Drive it . Can I say I was praised Jesus yes I sure was going down the road. Tears in my eyes. . Ken said if I have any problems bring it in. Believe me, I Will be relying on this garage for my auto needs. Thank you all for helping me. Big hugs to all of you.
Helpful in locating compatible year/make/model for parts. If they don’t have those parts already pulled you can call ahead or in some cases pull it yourself. Go to place for random parts for restore projects.
Called these guys last Friday purchased a rear end Ken ran my purchase got here today coming from Greensboro nc just to tell me he has a bad rear end then trust selling me wrong info I called to check and guy would have sold me wrong part not a place I would trust
Called today to see if they had a wiper arm for my Corolla. They said yes, not long after I got a call back saying it would be waiting at the desk to pick up when I got off work. I also needed a piece of trim for around my shifter that was just damaged, they brought be back to make sure we got the right one. Toyota wanted $200, eBay was $100, they saved me a lot of money. 100% recommend, amazing staff.
Rule #1 of this place, never trust the hours they put on there website or Google maps. I've lost count the amount of times I've driven my happy ass all the way over there just to turn around because they're closed and Goodluck trying to call them to see if they're open, they barely answer the phone.
Also in general the hours they do post just sucks. What sense does it make to have the only junk yard down the street from a base full of Marines with their lemons they bought for 29% APR just to only be open for like 4 hours on only Saturday and that's if they decide to actually open. Because of this a lot of people will drive all the way to cape fear instead because they actually stay open.
My last issue is kinda iffy so here goes. Prices are so wishy washy, I've gotten good deals and I've gotten bad deals. All I'm gonna say is at no point should any of your parts be full retail price. Your parts sit outside year round and I'm putting in the labor of pulling it thank you.
Great place. I called for a ford ranger tail light. It was close to the weekend so they reserved the tail light for me and I picked it up the following Monday. Very professional and respectful people. Would recommend if you ever need car parts.
Ronnie and crew are good people and will always help you find parts. Rodger is an awesome counter guy and will help locate even if they don’t have it they can find it.
The person behind the counter was courteous and very helpful, they had the tires waiting for us, and put to the side, the tires were at an excellent price, and the tire technician was very nice and friendly, he put two new tires on and rotated one, he mounted two tires and balanced them both, and we were done in about half an hour. I highly recommend Eastside auto salvage for your parts, and tires for your vehicle, at great prices. I was extremely impressed with my visit today.
Not sure what kind of professional mechanic are hired at this place, but for sure it was completely wrong at the moment I asked about technical questions before I paying for what they have done (I have the right to be informed technical questions) That guy Roger was disappointed to me. Especially because he actually wasn't being helpful to informed me about my questions. Go there only if you need old cheap tires or buying junk parts for DYS projects or get ride of your car for someone else profit. And check prices in the normal auto stores because some stuff are is worth as much as new parts from stores that offer better warranties. Be ready to confronted very estresed human behavior.
Looked everywhere for tire rim for my truck.they had exact one to fit and even sized rim holes to see if it would fit.even put tire on rim for me at affordable cost.excellent place to go and very very knowledgeable about what I kneeded.worth the drive from kinston to jville.recommend them to everyone

Bought a part. The said the would have it pulled in a couple of hours. Went to pick up 3 hours later. Then was told they were going to lunch. Waited 3 more hours and I’m still here waiting

Eastside Auto Salvage has always had the parts I needed for my Jeeps and PT Cruiser. On rare occasions when they didn’t have a part, they took the time to help me locate it. They will help me pull the parts off if I can’t do myself. They have changed out my tires at extremely reasonable prices. They are respectful, happy to help, and very fair prices. Highly recommend them!
The place is very busy. They have a great selection of parts, but they are not fast. I had to call a couple times to push the for the part I already paid for, but at the end of the day, I got a good part for a good price. After reading some of these reviews….. idc if they smoke or drink, they are busy because they have the parts and the prices are right. I will definitely be back! Good ok boys like me!
I had a way better experience last weekend compared to previously so Im changing my rating from 1 star to 3. I went early on a Saturday morning and they let me go pull the part myself. Had much better selection of parts and trucks ( broncos ) and the prices were really good. One problem was there was no wheelbarrows or carts to carry my tools out out to the yard but not too bad, I'll be back.
Overall the experience was good. I called and asked for a transfer case to my vehicle and they had it for an affordable price so I told them I wanted it and would be on my way shortly. Now I live almost 30 min away and I drove straight there to get the part when I showed up they still had to pull the part. I waited for about an hour and the part was ready for pick up so i drove around the building to the wash station and picked it up. I pulled back around and had to wait a little bit longer maybe 15 minutes before I could pay for the part and leave. One of the rubber covers was missing but i used the one from my old transfer case that was not a problem. The only reason why this did not get 5 stars is that I had to wait for a part to be pulled before I could inspect it and buy it only a minor inconvenience if you are not in a time crunch. For the price you can not beat them.

I was selling my car but had to go to Eastside to pick up money. I needed to call a cab to get there and back. He was so kind he gave us a lift to Eastside and call a cab for us for the trip back home. I couldn't have thanked him enough, for making what could have been a stressful experience, a pleasant one. Great place to find items for your vehicles. Always treat me with respect (great people) and a valued customer. Whenever I need help pulling a part they help ASAP! Plenty of Ford vehicles on the lot. I am looking forward to visiting again very soon.
If I could give it less than a one I would. I paid for a part to be pulled two weeks ago and they been giving me the run around ever since. It's just ridiculous that it takes two weeks to get one small part. But they had no problem taking the money. The new guy in the front is, well I better not say it..but its nothing good!!! Once I get my money back I'm done with Eastside!!!!! And that 35% restocking fee, well you know where yall can cram that!!
In an out of the place before I new it and the guy was very helpful. Waited like 5mins for assistance and was well worth it, because the guy did screw me around told me 25$ for the parts I needed and I even picked up a few extras and he only charged me an extra dollars something. So 5 stars man do not change how you do business.
This was my first time here. Everybody was wonderful except dale the manager. I've never had a disagreement with anybody I ever dealt with trying to get my car fixed. He's very rude. Jeff on the other hand the tow truck person was GREAT and really nice. On the other hand I will NOT be coming back here.
