They really did go above and beyond my expectations. I was in a very upsetting situation… I had just bought my vehicle weeks prior and the engine seized up and on top of that the mechanic who I had taken it to to check it out was being very rude to me! The guy who answered the phone at TAS was so kind and helpful and gave me advice on how to get through the situation with the mechanic. They offered me the best price for my vehicle. The tow driver was funny. Every one was kind!

Best place to sell scrap in McDowell county but don't try to buy anything from there I asked about buying some scrap lead and what he would charge for it and he said show me what you want and I'll price it so I picked up what looked like a boat anchor of some type that was essentially a steel pipe filled with lead with a large steel rod through the middle so without even weighing it he says I'll take a 100 dollars! So Im picking it up and I figured it weighs about 200 lbs max and 20-30 of that is steel so I do the math and that puts it about 50 cents a pound which is 40 times more than they will pay you for it. I understand making a profit but that's absurd.. so be warned they will price gouge on anything they sell.

YES this is a self service scrap lot .Drove all around town with my buddy looking for a pick n pull type place for my buddy’s civic build and with no luck we decided to drive about an hour to TAS and I was to relived to find that it was a pick n pull type place! With high hopes we walked in with no experience turns out you need 2$ for an entry fee which we did not have sadly only finding 3$ in our pockets bc we don’t really carry cash like that thankfully staff was super nice and spotted us the 1$ They had a great selection of cars including some pretty cool JDM stuff. After about ten minutes we found a sick after market titanium exhaust with little to no damage. took it to the counter and paid a sweet 23$
10/10 experience nice staff, lot was well organized, great prices and found what I needed. I would comeback fs definitely recommend

It was time to part with a worn out yet sentimental vehicle I owned. My husband needed it removed quickly. I had no idea what to do or where to start. The car would run, but all 4 tires were dry rotted, one flat. I researched salvage yards and towing companies; I was absolutely confused; luckily I found the listing for TAS Recycling. Hooray for me. They were fast, fair, and made the car pickup a very smooth process.
The entire process, from my first call to being handed my check took only about 5 hours! Most of the truck's info was shared on the phone with a few photos sent over. I was given the amount they valued the truck for, which was fair, so they offered to pick it up that day, which was perfect for me. They showed up within the specified window, I signed over the title, showed govt issued photo ID (drivers license), was handed my check, and the truck was loaded without incident. Easy peasy... should I ever be stupid enough to buy another car from up north (won't happen!!), I would used them all over again. Great experience!
I had a quick and easy process with TAS. I Filled out the form in the morning and my car was picked up by 10am and a fair price was accepted. This is my second experience with them and I am totally happy with their professionalism and services.
Our car broke down we was looking to junk it. We messaged these guys after a few questions they gave us a price for it and a time slot when it could be picked up. They was very nice and answered questions we had. Great experience highly recommend them.
I'm giving 3 stars because I was quoted one price for the vehicles that were supposed to be picked up & then when the driver got there I was paid a lower amount.
There was almost $100 difference in the prices.
Others than that the vehicles were picked up around the time that they said they would be there.
Horrible place period. Do not trust them at all. Wont let you see weight of your items and then cut it in half on paper. Weighed my own stuff before going to know what I had and they screwed me. Scam artists

My dealings with this company were great!! This was the first time using a service like theirs and the staff answered all my questions in a timely and professional manner. We discussed pricing over the phone and once they arrived they wrote me a check for the amount we agreed too. They arrived on time and called me when they got close to the pickup site. Great place to find parts for your vehicle! They have several different generation year ranges for domestic and import cars! They have the lowest prices around and friendly staff! They also sell whole engine and transmissions if you need one! I definitely recommend going here if you need anything for your car or truck!
I had a great experience here and they gave me a great deal. Just one request, please please please don’t crush any more Crown Victorias, Grand Marquis or Town Cars. Parts for these cars are becoming so hard to find. I’ll be back in six months to see if y’all have more inventory. Please don’t crush them.
A driver for Rusty's Pic a Part drove over an asphalt berm that protects my property from water damage. Although the damage to the berm was slight, it has the potential to compromise the integrity of a portion of the berm itself. I immediately notified the driver and contacted Daniel, the self-proclaimed manager of the business. Daniel stated the driver is claiming he did no damage (although the driver was very cooperative with me at my home), and refused to give me his name and address so that I could provide written documentation of the incident. The reason he gave is because "we NEVER do damage to property." When I asserted that the contact information could be attained from the neighbor who hired his services, he finally consented. I can't say I'd be eager to do business with this kind of person.
Sold my car to them. They made 3 different appointments to come pick it up from my house, and failed to show up all three times without so much as a phone call.
When they finally did show up, it was 2 hours early, and they left because I wasn’t there. When I called to complain about that, I was rudely corrected on the phone that “it wasn’t 2 hours ir was an hour and a half early”
These people are wildly unprofessional and disorganized. Do not use this service
They are friendly and open on Saturday. they really need an online inventory, it would save so much time. The selection of vehicles is a bit on the small side now. I was surprised that they had nothing even close to the make and model of Toyota or Suzuki we were looking for today.
This place is very organized & is well maintained! Various cars & trucks are organized by manufacturer of vehicle which makes finding the car parts you need much easier. My brother (and myself sometimes) goes to Rusty's often and the guys are always professional, nice and willing to help out with any questions and/ or concerns. Overall pricing of parts is competitive and good. The owner Larry as well is friendly and runs a tight ship! Keep up the good work fellows...
