Just a young lady traveling and caught some tire and wheel trouble. Had to leave my car off to the side of the road until the next morning - Mr. Scott came and hooked my car up and got it back to Charlotte for me. This company was quite professional and more than understanding. Even the dispatch lady - bless her heart. She was probably sick of our calls but remained professional and kind.

Called for a wrecker. Woman who answered was more concerned about how I got her phone number than helping me. Told me to call someone else after I told her I had my credit card in my hand. Her own driver gave me her number and told me to call her. They left me stranded from 6pm until 10pm. Thanks, not.
Had the need to tow two cars from Winston-Salem to Huntersville. Both cars had been sitting for over a year and were located in difficult to reach places. Scott the driver handled the situation like a pro being very careful during the loading and transport process. This was done at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend Hampton's Wrecker Service.
Chris was so nice and quickly changed my tire when I got stuck on the side of the highway with a flat tire. My spare was not in great shape, so he let me follow his tow truck to a nearby tire shop in Lincolnton in case I had any issues along the way. I was able to buy a new tire and get right back on the road. Thank you so much, Chris!
Rudest customer service. I called the in a situation where my insurance gave me the run around for three hours at midnight and desperately needed to be towed 7 miles up the road, only to be met with a very rude response from a woman who said I needed to pay $260 to tow my car. Absolute robbery. Then she hung up on me when I told her to give me a moment while I checked my funds. I don’t understand how they stay in business if this is how they treat potential customers.
On New Years Eve 2024, my 13 year old daughter and I were in a rental car that broke down in a very rural, isolated area. Scott from Hampton’s was our tow truck driver. When he got to us and realized that Roadside Assistance had not arraigned for my daughter and me to be picked up and brought home safely, he insisted on staying with us until he knew we were safe. Scott not only stayed with us (a single woman and a child) for well over an hour, but he did everything he could to help us make the connections necessary to get home safe and sound. Scott went above and beyond what his job duties entailed, and for a while, he was simply a kind hearted human being instead of being an on duty wrecker driver.
The kind of people that a company employs speaks volumes about that company. To me, Hampton’s Wrecker Service is a top notch, A-1 company. I will never forget how far beyond my expectations of a tow company that Scott and Hampton’s went for us. I’m grateful that Scott was sent to us and kept us safe and warm until we could get safely out of the area.

Hamptons was going to charge me $170 to tow my car from one end of Lincoln County to the other Lincoln county ain't that big, y'all. Bodylines out of Iron Station had a MUCH more reasonable price and everyone I spoke to at Bodylines was incredibly friendly. Bodylines also didn't try to overcharge me because I am a female
The lady after hours was very rude. Learn how to speak to a possible customer. I decided to call someone else just because of the way she was on the phone.
If you need a tow near Lincolnton call Hamptons. Not only did they tow me at 5am they fixed my problem and got me back going quick. So they are a towing and automotive shop.

My experience with Hampton’s Wrecker service yesterday left much to be desired. I waited behind another couple for 10 minutes before anyone came to see what they or I needed only to be informed that I needed to go to a different building to handle paperwork to release the vehicle.
When I got there they charged my grandfather $705 for towing, storage and a gate fee (?). This is because his truck was stolen early Saturday morning and the police had them tow and store it until the investigation was done. The $705 didn’t cover any of the damage being repaired because we are taking it elsewhere to get it fixed.
After waiting 20-30 minutes for someone to assist us we finally got to finish the paperwork and they sent us out back to find the truck on our own.
When I shifted the truck into gear it refused to move and it wasn’t so damaged that it could not drive. So finally I had to go find someone to ask for help and the guy said he flipped a switch on the bottom to keep it in neutral and he fixed that so I could leave.
What should have taken 20 minutes or less took over an hour. They did the bear minimum and waited to be asked for help at every turn. I haven’t witnessed such poor customer service in a long time.
Outstanding service. Son hit a deer at around 5 or 6 in the morning on 150. His car was not drivable and it was raining. They got him handled and taken to the tow yard, they do a lot of business with the body shop the car was going to and I passed the vehicle being transported there on my way home that afternoon, the same day. It's nice to know you can rely on a company to look after your kid who is just inexperienced with these sorts of things.
I have used them twice in the last year. Both times they arrived within a few minutes of promised arrival time. (I called a 2 & 3 days before to schedule pickup)The scheduler and drivers were polite and helpful. My vehicles reached their destinations safely. Reasonable, competitive fees.
Will use them again.
Although I've never locked myself out of my car before, that's exactly what happened when I recently found myself with a dead key fob battery and the wrong set of keys. The situation could have been a nightmare, but thankfully Hampton's Wrecker Service made everything so easy.
Despite the late hour and it being Easter Eve, they arrived within 30 minutes and provided the smoothest service I've ever experienced from a roadside assistance provider - even topping my experiences with AAA. I can't thank them enough for their prompt and professional help.

Jon is so sweet to me. I'm handicapped and he does everything he can to be accommodating. Treating old crippled ladies kind isn't his job. It's his personality. My husband went back with his truck to see if Jon could figure out the mysterious engine light that's been going on and off for years. We finally gave up. Broke down in Shelby. Hamptons arrived within an hour, towed the vehicle to the repair shop and gave us a ride back to Lincolnton. These guys are all about customer service. Used them several times. Never had a bad experience. They're straight up.
