Waste of gas and time. Pictures online are inaccurate and $30 for two small interior brackets is simply the staff here guessing what these parts are worth and hoping people pay.

They were nice and had the part we needed but the price for it was outrageous. We got 4 5" small metal seat brackets and they charged us 16$ a bracket. That's insane. They were cheaper online, new. Total rip off and a scam. Also, we got a seatbelt here once and they charged us the price for a modern seatbelt even though it was off an old car and completely different and supposed to be a cheaper price.

Too expensive. They keep raising prices. You can buy new parts for cheaper and not have to get your hands dirty

Spent most of the day here looking for specific parts. First of all this place is incredibly organized and the staff was amazing. Super helpful and thorough. They had just about everything we needed and loaned us a battery to get some seats moved so we could unbolt them. 100% would recommend this place.

False advertising. They do not p/u car free, or pay on the spot.. When you go to p/u check, the amount received is not the quoted price on the phone. "Buyer" was very rude, made up bogus excuses for difference. Even told us we could take the money or take the car back. Then told us persons giving quotes on the phones, are in India, he can't correct them; above his paygrade... My mom is 81 yr old. Hard to believe how elderly are treated by this company. I advise to sell to another buyer or sell on marketplace. Wish I had. This company is not honest. Beware. I hope nobody ever treats their parents this way. Purely evil. Beware.

Website was very accurate with cars available and which row it is located. While I grabbed my own part, I do like that they offer the option for them to pull it. Price was very reasonable and much cheaper than used prices on online sites.

LKQ is great I take a lot of my cars up there to them. Kris and Jayme are very professional and friendly. I will only do business with them.

Awesome service! Jayme was great! She was very helpful in setting up my account Thank you Jayme.

We are a commercial shop that takes in many scrap cars and have dealt with many of the outside buyers of this lkq location. The newest buyer, Jayme, has by far been the best! She has always been extremely responsive, even on her days off, when quoting prices on vehicles for us. We will continue to sell the high volume to them because of the great prices and customer service Jayme has offered us. If you're a shop that has excess scrap or non running vehicles laying around, I encourage you to reach out to this location and see what they can do for you!

This is my go to for any parts needed for my vehicle mainly because I've had some past disappointments from taking my issues to service shops only to be very disappointed for several reasons: cost and the issue made worse or even the attempted upsell done in a way to try to make you think its necessary. Finding an honest mechanic is difficult so I began working on most of the easier things but thanks to technology most anything can be referenced and the best part is knowing it gets done right and you save a great deal of money. Needless to say, I'm very grateful for having this option and have benefitted from this location for the past 10 years!

I had to pay $3 to go on the yard to see that they did not have the parts they said they had on their website. What a total rip off and waste of time

I got a quote, it's a very low amount compared to drive the vehicle there myself. Was speaking to the agent, and he said that after they pick up the vehicle, I would need to go to their office to pick up the check. I told the guy many times before this that we don't have another vehicle which is why we needed it picked up, so how are we supposed to go there to pick up a check???? We don't have family in the area, nor any friends, as we're not from the area originally, so we can't bum a ride from anyone. Also, since I'm disabled and my husband has stage 2 cancer, we don't have the funds for Uber. How is this a good business model?

Only salvage yard in the state where you can’t call and confirm a part before driving hours to visit.. Checking on website is useless…says you have no parts at all for my truck, despite having 6 on site..
Jun 17, 2025 -
Had a car scheduled for pick-up and we were told from two calls the day prior that they would call to confirm when the tow truck was on the way. The window given to us was 8:30 - 12:00. I took the morning off of work to wait. I called around 11:00 to see if they were on schedule and they had picked up the car and never informed us. When I got to LKQ, the heavy female with red hair whom we spoke with, denied ever telling us that. Super unprofessional. Hopefully I don't ever cross paths with this business or that wilderbeast again.

John was excellent!!! They were closing and as we were turning to leave John accepted us inside anyways and searched for our rim and tire. We walked to 7 different vehicles. None worked for our need but the effort was amazing!

Went online to get a quote for my Honda which I was satisfied with. Gemma called me back after I accepted n she was awesome n very helpful. Later that day they called to verify pickup. Tow driver was great. Went to the store in Clayton and the young man in the office was very nice. Got my check n it's all done.

Most of the employees roll their eyes whenever I try to speak with them or resolve an issue — as if I’m being a nuisance just for asking questions. They charge $5 to have someone clearly unqualified remove a tire from the rim, and the result? Scratches all over the rim. Alternatively, you can pay $20 for a tire with zero tread left — and everyone insists “it was like that.” When I brought this up, the manager just said “take it or leave it,” offering a refund only with clear reluctance and no accountability, claiming there’s no warranty. Totally unacceptable experience.

John and Joanie were super helpful and answered all our questions. Despite the snowy weather, the process was still very seamless. As long as you bring the right tools, everything should be quick and easy. I also loved how up-to-date and user-friendly the website was! If you ever need affordable car parts and are handy, look no further.

Me and my son went for parts for his car. The prices were reasonable and the employees were nice. I was nervous about going because of the bad reviews. But I just told them I didn’t want the warranty and they were fine with that. I was only charged the price of a spare tire and emblem nothing extra.

The people are friendly but parts pricing is out of control. When you factor in driving to the lot, finding the right car, hoping it has the right part still attached, nope, try a different car, (hopefully your car is common) then removing the part you need, getting up to the counter only to be charged 3/4 what it would cost to buy online, it's ridiculous. Charging high prices to begin with, then tacking on warranties on literally every single part, charging for each individual piece of an assembly, and core charges on silly stuff that makes no sense.

I recently made the mistake of paying a visit to this junkyard, and let me tell you, it was a colossal disappointment. As you step inside, brace yourself for the usual routine of having to break a sweat to dig out your own parts. But here's the kicker, folks. Despite cross-referencing items, they still have the nerve to demand retail prices for items that are nothing more than used, crusty, and frequently in a sorry state of disrepair. I had the unfortunate experience of picking up three trim pieces that were so caked in dirt and grime, it was like they came straight from a mud bath. And to add insult to injury, they had the audacity to present me with a bill of $45 for this sorry assortment of goods. Frankly, I could've gotten these items shipped to me for a fraction of the cost of entering this place, hunting down the car I needed, and working my tail off to wrestle the parts I needed into my possession. So, do yourself a favor and steer clear of this joint if you have even a smidgen of regard for your hard-earned money. It's not the kind of place I'd ever recommend to anyone in search of affordable, top-quality used auto parts. If I could put 0 stars I would.

Maybe 3 Stars on a good day. This place is a junkyard and not an auto recycling location. Everything in the place is poorly marked as to the vehicles location. When I pointed out to Keith that a few cars weren’t even on the lot, he started arguing. He pulled up cars on his computer that were NOT on the lot proving himself wrong. The prices are okay until they add a warranty and hazardous materials fees without telling you first. Then core charges on parts like a 4wd skid plate. They have core charges on nearly everything. Core charges are meant to be charged to the customer when they are buying something that will be remanufactured. LKQ doesn’t remanufacture anything. Just be upfront and honest about the prices. Raise the prices if need be. Tacking on fees is shady. I don’t need to pay a 90 day warranty charge on a piece of interior trim. Clean up the lot daily and close the vehicles’ doors. That helps with trip hazards. It keeps a lot of water out of the cars too. The Durham location is managed much better.

Nasty yard and a few of the employees are as well. I prefer the Durham location over the Clayton / Raleigh location. At the Clayton location their prices are on the “swag” index. Scientific Wild A$$ Guess price list. Anyhow it’s a necessary evil sometimes when you drive older cars.

Best place to get cheap parts I love it you can beat it they still give you 30 days warranty on any part

Great place to pick up parts for your car, if they have it in stock. Be sure to download the pick your part garage app and make a account, you can set notifications when your car becomes available. Customer service was great and prices were reasonable. Also comes with a 30 to 90 day return window. I'll be back for sure.

This place can help you out of a bind when they have the parts that you need. But there are times when you get there and the part you want is ruined. The majority of times it is the careless selfish trash that damage the vehicle when pulling their parts. Then there are times when it is the staff. Here is a picture from their site showing a vehicle that just arrived in the yard and then here are two pictures I took when I went there four days after it was in the yard. I was trying to get the bumper. In their pic it looks like it is good shape but you can see what it really looked like. The car has no parts missing from it yet so how did the bumper get so trashed? It had to be some careless employees that moved the car into the yard. This car is very hard to find in salvage yards and they trash it needlessly. It really angers me when I'm expecting the car to be in decent shape according to their pics but when I get there it isn't because of some one that doesn't do their job properly.

Needed a quarter panel to weld onto my jeep. Found a selection of vehicles with matching body, got what I needed - even the wire harnesses and little odds and ends. Just be sure you bring all the right tools for the job. Fair prices too.
