Beautiful views, nice walking paths (3) to hike. Worth the stop if visiting the area.

Unlike many NC overlooks that require a trek deep into a National Forest, Jump Off Rock is located at the literal dead-end of a residential road. You drive through a quiet, winding neighborhood of beautiful mountain homes, and suddenly, the road just stops at a park with a world-class view. On a crystal-clear day, you aren't just looking at the Blue Ridge Mountains; you can actually see into four different states: North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee. A bronze map at the overlook helps you identify distant peaks like Mt. Pisgah and Cold Mountain.

Would rate it 5 stars but being 1hr and 20min away is quite far. It's quite the view, better in person and tou can really awe the view, and a slight cave exploring for smaller children. Going down the trails is also quite tricky as the rocks are very uneven and only 1 way down a set of stairs. Super awesome non the less!

Not enough parking ? has become very crowded. Tons if beautiful deer in the area but no on goes the speed limit so I fear they may not survive.

What a beautiful and peaceful view just 15 minutes from downtown Hendersonville. At just over 3000 ft elevation, you can see 4 states on a clear day. Relax on a park bench or enjoy a short hike. Either way, you can't go wrong. The lookout is easily handicapped accessible from the parking lot. There is a pump for water bottles or pups to drink. Unfortunately there are no restrooms available.

Very nice little park with walkway to the overlook. It also has two or three very short trails with steep elevation change. Very interesting 30 minute walk in the trees. I was there at the end of October, and the fall color was beautiful! The parking is rather limited, but people are coming and going fairly quickly, so if you wait a bit you should be able to find parking.

Beautiful views from all directions. It's a little hard to find but well worth it.

Beautiful scenery. A lot of care and thought put into making the area accessible for viewing. Railings and paved areas make it feel safe to enjoy this amazing natural area.

A very small park with a big view. It was a bit overcast the day we went. The drive up to the park was even better than the park itself. Very easy access to the viewing area, even for the mobility challenged.

An excellent place for a great scenic view. The trails are well maintained. The red and yellow trails are 0.25 miles each and the blue trail is 0.1 mile. The trails are a little steep in places and a couple of easy rock crossings. The view is about a 180 degree panoramic. One of the roads is still out from hurricane Helena so make a are to check google maps and or nc dot site.

Beautiful place for viewing the sunset and mountains. There are a couple benches and enough parking spots.

This was definitely a hidden gem and Ive lived and traveled all over NC all my 63 years. Parking is a bit limited at times but it doesn't take long to see it and move on so other's can find Parking. We were there on a Saturday so Im betting weekdays Parking is plentiful. No bathroom on-site so prepare and stop before you go. Very nice landscaping and a million dollar view of surrounding mountain range.

It was a really foggy morning, but it was still such a beautiful view. There is parking and a very short walk.

Peaceful, tranquil, and beautiful views. Several benches to rest on and enjoy the scenery and plenty of grass for littles to play on or have a picnic as a family was doing. Lovely spot to step away from it all for a bit.

Great small Park at the back of a neighborhood. The trails are high moderate level. Must be in relatively good shape. Steep drop offs.

Such a beautiful area and overlook. A few easy short walk/hikes around. Easy and free parking. No restrooms.

Perfect place to view the mountains or an approaching storm. There are 3 trails there, 1 mi, or two of them that are .25, I didn't get to try them as I have a bad knee. Will have to return after I'm well again. If you are ever in Hendersonville, you should go.

A friend told us about this spot. It is worth the drive and a few extra minutes to come and visit it. The view is amazing. There are people up here reading and working on laptops. If you like to work in a peaceful space. They have a few benches or you can bring you own chairs to sit under the large trees.

Jump Off Rock took my breath away! The view of the Blue Ridge Mountains was absolutely stunning—especially at sunset. It’s peaceful, easy to get to, and has just the right amount of charm for a quick escape into nature. I loved how quiet and uncrowded it felt. One of my favorite spots in the Hendersonville area!

Really enjoyed this scenic overlook. They have some very small hiking trails that I didn’t explore because I was by myself. Really beautiful views of the mountains.

Easy drive up through neighborhood streets- lots of twists and turns since you are going up the mountain. There was still some washed out parts of the roads due to Helene so use caution. ⚠️ The view was amazing and the park is very well kept with plenty of parking. There are also 3 small trails for hiking - rocky and steep in parts. Dogs welcome and they have a poo station and a dog water fountain.

Great set of trails here! Although,it's important to be careful because there are quite a few cliffs. I would not suggest taking children on the hiking trails due to them not being safe for the younger ones who wander.

Gorgeous views with very short trails. So if the trails are on the steep side, but they're none are very long. If you take kids, make sure you stay with them as there are several drop offs that are tall. The center area is a really nice and flat grass area.

Wow!!! Beautiful, breath taking view, on December 24th. Easy parking, easy path to walk but be careful on the larger rocks to see the view, especially older folks or handicapped. Nice places to sit, though, and look out over the mountain if you are unable to walk the larger rocks. We took our dog, on a leash, she was ok with it.

As an introvert who is not fully afraid of heights (there is a limit), this is the perfect place to be early in the morning. It was a beautiful day, lots of sun, but chilly. In November, it is a great idea to take a jacket and gloves. I had the place to myself, which was awesome. I didn't hike the trails, but I am guessing it would be lovely to do so. If you own a nice camera that takes awesome shots, bring it with you. I used my cell phone, but wished I had a good camera. Cell phones do not do justice to the awesome beauty. The road is narrow, 20-25 miles per hour. Trust, you will not really want to drive any faster. I love the mountains, but I would not live up there. The houses on the side of the mountain, man, that is crazy. That is the limit I spoke about at the beginning of my post. Not living up there. Otherwise, it is worth the drive if 3,100 feet above sea level doesn't disturb you. Just beautiful is all I can say. Makes me know that someone more powerful than human beings created this earth. It did not just show up out of the blue. Thought went into this.

Stunning views of the mountains, lots of parking and spots for parking in the shade. Friendly people. Somewhat secluded area, not crowded the two times I've been there. Some hiking trails, parts are a little difficult. Off the beaten path but so worth it for the views. I imagine a sunrise or sunset, either, could be quite awe inspiring. Certainly a precious gem of a place, unspoiled by graffiti that is so prevalent in the area. A couple of benches for drinking in the view. What's not to love? Elevation over 2000' so cooler in summer, and a little sign tells you what the peaks are. Been in the Carolinas 44 years and never knew... been twice in the last two weeks.

Another place to see the magnificent view of NC mountains, so PLEASE do not destroy the area with trash and graffiti. We would say the trails were still easy given that these were 0.1 to 0.25 miles. We visited in the spring, so we some flowers including the mountain laurel. Nature's beauty was bastardized by graffiti thanks to deplorable human beings. We heard that the people living in the upscale area across Jump of Rock think that they own the place and would sometimes harass visitors. We did not experience this and everyone we encountered during our visit was pleasant and respectable. None of the visitors had to pay to visit or park.
