I used my cars warranty towing...if Subaru sends you to this company immediately request a different towing company. I called this tow in at 0417. I was told 60min. Then it went to 36min at 0506. Here it is nearing 0630 and they are MIA. This company is a joke.
Update: this company never showed, never called, and I had to call Subaru roadside to get the case reassigned! 2 hrs on the sholder and the reassigned company came within 20min. Stay far away from this company.Feb 18, 2026 -
Used my roadside insurance for a lockout. C.A.F. was assigned to my call. I was told a 1 hour wait. I called after an hour and was told “30 minutes”. Well another hour goes by, at this point it’s been two hours I’ve been waiting. When I called at the 2 hour mark I was told another hour so I cancelled the service. I have a 2 month old baby and had an hour drive home. I wasn’t waiting till 2am to drive home.

God damn they accepted my call for a lock out, told me 30 minutes.
An hour later I call and get told he’s on a job, I get an updated eta for 30 more minutes.
Another hour later I fall again, this time they’re an hour away,
An hour and a half later I call them and they say he’s on the way now.
Don’t even bother with them, I could have paid 10 more and gotten actual service in 30 minutes from Spartanburg Locksmith.
The only conclusion I can draw is they didn’t want to pass up on the 105 dollars I’m paying them to unlock my car. They’d rather string me along until they can actually get a someone to me to unlock my car.
-10/5, this was an absolute WASTE of my time.

I was assigned CAF Wrecker from my insurance company for key lockout. They gave a time frame of 30-60 minutes and after 2 hours were still not there. My phone died 45 minutes into waiting so I stood and waited until I broke into my own vehicle and got my keys. Damaging the vehicle of course. I do not recommend and if you are assigned this company ask for another!

Had my car slide off the road in the ice storm. Javier saved me. He was great! Went out of his way to help me. Super guy!! Caf is awesome. If you need a tow don't hesitate, call them!

horrible establishment. my tire popped on the side of the road and i needed a tow. what was initially quoted as a 35-minute wait turned into me sitting on the side of the highway for FOUR AND A HALF hours REALLY FIVE ! every time i called for an update, i was given a different time frame: “25 minutes,” then “45 minutes,” then “two cars are ahead of you,” and then back to “25 minutes” again.
i am 21 years old and had never experienced being stranded like this before. relying on this company made an already stressful situation significantly worse. the final time i called to speak with the driver assigned to pick up my car, the call was answered and i was immediately placed on hold once they realized it was me, instead of simply being honest about the delay.
due to their inconsistency and horrible communication, i had to have my family drive over an hour to come get me. this experience was unacceptable and extremely disappointing.Feb 05, 2026 -
My husband broke down during ice storm and someone had to pick him up because he had to get to work. He then returned 3 hours later during his lunch to pick it up and it was already towed. Ridiculous amount of money to pick it up now and they are never there for you to get your car. Absolutely disgusting

How shameful this place is. I ordered a tow through my insurance, and this company accepted the job but made no attempt to contact me or send anyone for over two hours. After waiting that long, I called them and was told that “no truck had been sent out due to the ice."
They left me on the side of the interstate in below-freezing temperatures with a broken-down car. Not a single time did anyone from this company reach out to me in any way.
When I called, I was then told it would be another 2–3 hours, after I had already been waiting for two hours.
I complained to my insureance, who canceled this company’s assignment and gave the job to another company that arrived within 40 minutes.
I cannot express how dangerous, embarrassing, and shameful this is, and I will be escalating this further for review and investigation.Jan 28, 2026 -
I have had some very negative interactions with Tow truck drivers. One man I wouldn't even let tow my car so when I had to call for a wrecker for this vehicle, I was not looking forward to it. In fact, I had my son here in case I needed to walk away. Tre is the driver that was assigned to me and let me tell you, this young man was professional, friendly and knowledgable. He made this whole situation a little better and I am so thankful that he took care of my Jeep. Even at the place it was delivered, he was the same way. He's definitely a keeper!

My vehicle was towed from my apartment complex due to an expired license plate decal (sure, that part’s my bad). I called them early the next morning (a Friday), about 9:30, paid the fee, and was told someone would contact me shortly to schedule pickup. My plan was to get my car (with the registration in it, which I would need), go to the DMV, and get a new decal since I had no idea where mine was. I never received a call. I called back around 3:00 PM and was given an excuse about them being busy and was promised I’d receive a call as soon as the person got back in the office. No call for the rest of the day. I was able to pick it up the following morning (Saturday), but obviously at this point the DMV was closed Saturday, Sunday, and Monday for MLK day. I go back to work Tuesday and can’t make it to the DMV during their open hours until Tuesday of the following week. That’s why I tried to get everything done as soon as possible Friday. They also assured me that if I brought my car back to my apartment, it would absolutely be towed again, and I’d be required to pay the fee again. Seems pretty unfair to require me to keep my car somewhere other than where I live simply because they were too lazy or inconsiderate to just give me a call like they promised to do, twice.

I had an excellent experience with this company yesterday. The gentleman they sent out here from AAA was courteous and had excellent customer service skills. He was even able to get my car started so that I didn’t have to use up my AAA tow. Also the dispatcher reached out early by phone to give me a time estimate on my wait, and not all towing companies do that. I highly recommend this company.

This company was dispatched to a AAA call for me yesterday. When filling out the tripple AAA Thing I used my current location. We'll the guy coming to do the job didntt call b4 getting here but that doesnt matter as he planned on not doing his job b4 he was here. He was on the other side of the pond literally in the SAME complex that I am in just on the other side at a different entrance. He proceeded to get an attitude with me. This guy had obviously decided he was in a bad mood and didnt want to do the Job well b4 he got here. The owner did offer to send som1 else out but I felt incredibly uncomfortable using the same business after this incident. She even stuck up for her employee which tells me he will receive no dispensary action and is allowed to do and say whatever he wants and treat customers of someone they have a contract with any way he wants to treat them. I havent got to contact AAA about this yet. But I certainly want to make sure the company is not paid and hopefully reprimanded for this behavior. Its fine to apologize after the fact but justification of an employee that acts like that is absolutely ridiculous i would be fired so fast my head would spin if I ever talked to a client like he talked to me. And im not the only person this has happened to the last 1 star review for this company is from the exact same driver doing the exact same thing. Thats wild

Leann and JoJo were amazing. They were both so courteous and so kind and I would recommend them 10 times over. They made the worst experience of me being on side of the road, the best and showed so much empathy. I am beyond grateful and they were super fast!!! Thank you so much

If I could leave a negative 5 stars I would. Was told it take about 2 hours to get there, at 2 hours I call the driver he was finishing up a drop of and would be there, he was 20-25 minutes away Columbus to chimney rock an hour later still no show . Saw he had driven all the way back to Hendersonville and wasn't even headed my direction. So after waiting three hours and being told he was on his way I cancelled the tow and will never use or recommend this towing company. Thank you corey for wasting my time I can see why maybe the other guy refused to pay you. Not mention a 250 dollars cost.

If there was a NEGATIVE rating, that's what I would give, based on my experience with this company. They were assigned to my roadside assistance claim through my auto insurance. I accidentally locked my keys and my phone inside my car after work one evening. I had my two year old granddaughter and somehow during the shuffle of getting her and myself and all of our "stuff" out of the car, I locked myself out of the car, and locked my phone in. Luckily I had access to my laptop and was able to use it to have my daughter-in-law call for help. After receiving a text indicating that C, A. F. had been notified, that I should expect them within the hour, we prepared to wait the hour. After the first hour passed, we received a text asking if they had arrived and we indicated that no, they had not, another hour passed and finally there was a text from the wrecker company stating that their driver was held up by an accident, and he would text when he was close by so we would be ready for him. That text never came and neither did the driver. The next morning when my daughter-in-law called back to roadside assistance the operator told her that the wrecker service said they had been given the wrong address, however we have the confirmation text that lists the correct address. Finally, after ten am the next morning, the wrecker service called my daughter and said that their driver was unable to find the address, had driven through the development and didn't see my vehicle, so he left. He was already ten minutes away from where my car was sitting, with the keys still locked inside. He had not driven down the road that we were parked on, even though he knew that we were in that development, had been there waiting since the night before. He was equipped with not only the address, but a description of my vehicle as well as the tag number. Yet, after a cursory check, he left without locating me. Eventually the dispatcher was able to get him to return and after giving him turn by turn instructions to my location, he arrived. I told him that I thought it was inconsiderate of him to not make more of an effort to locate my vehicle considering I had been waiting since the night before. He had a terrible attitude and a nasty disposition. After his sidekick had unlocked my door and I opened it, he slammed it back shut as I was walking around the vehicle to retrieve my granddaughter's diaper bag. He thought he was locking me out of the car again, but much to his chagrin, I had already retrieved the keys. This was the most unprofessional exchange I have ever had with a tow truck driver/locksmith. Roadside assistance is a service usually reserved for an emergency, yet my situation was treated as an afterthought. This driver left me and my two year old granddaughter stuck overnight, unable to get home, or even make a phone call. We were never offered so much as a "my bad", let alone the professional treatment we deserved. I would not recommend this company to anyone for anything. Avoid at all costs!!

I have AAA and they responded to my battery which was completely dead. They were quick and responsive and went way over what I expected in service. I so appreciate that. I was in a time crunch, leaving North Carolina The very next day early morning.

They pulled my brand new Nissan Frontier out of a very deep ditch on Thanksgiving night at 10:30 pm in 38 degree weather. Arrived promptly and were very professional in their efforts. 0 damage inflicted during the recovery.

People who are stranded on the side of a road requests towes. We were 35 miles from home. Thankfully, we caught a ride with a passing relative after appx. 5-1/2 hrs. Otherwise, I would have added stranded with no water, food, heat, coats,blankets or toilet paper. Apparently, this is acceptable as long as the driver gets to have turkey with his family on Thanksgiving Day. The car was delivered unharmed the next morning. What gets me the most is the ongoing arrival times, none of which were honored, when 'We'll be there when we get there' would have been the honest thing to say. Despite the delay, an ounce of truthfulness would have gained for you four more stars.

My girlfriend got into a major car accident a couple weeks ago!! She lives in South Carolina, and isn't readily available between work to come and collect her tag, personal items ect. We were contacted by a number and a couple phones calls from said number, where we spoke to a nice lady about coming this weekend *today* to come and collect what we needed to. We called CAF wrecker to be met by a very rude and unprofessional spokesman who hung up in our face. The opposite treatment we'd received from the lady. When we came in person, we were told that the man who towed my girlfriends car in currently in jail, whom they hired. Word for word, was told to "hit the road if that was the man that towed it". I proceeded to explain that we cant help who you choose to hire, and we would still like our belongings back from the vehicle. He then proceed to tell me, my girlfriend, and my family, to "Get out, im already having a bad day". My girlfriend told him she had her license for physical ID, and he still wanted us out over his "bad day". Long story short, we never were able to receive any belongings or possessions from said vehicle, due to some guy THEY hired who's currently in jail, and the rudest customer service ive ever recieved. Stay as far away as possible from this place, at least until whoever the young man is upfront isn't working there speaking to people like dogs. All in all, worst wrecker I've ever dealt with.

I called AAA for help on the side of the road......I Love AAA, and it's so useful to have that safety net. I will ALWAYS keep a AAA membership.
However, the down side of AAA is that you don't really know who is going to show up to help you. Last time I got a quote for a tow, I was told that they couldn't tow on the interstate, which made the fee phenomenally more for me. I ended up cancelling the tow.
TODAY, I was fortunate enough to get a lucky roll of the dice, for once. I got a call from Terry, CAF Wrecker service, and from the moment we first spoke on the phone, I knew this was going to be a completely different and superior experience. Instead of the 2+ hour waiting period I was quoted the first time, Terry said, "I'm gonna be there in 12 minutes!". Omg the car had been parked prior to today, and I had to go pick up the key and drive to Tuxedo. I was happy but now worried he couldn't or WOULDN'T wait for me. I realize time is money. I hesitantly explained that I was not still with the car AND had to go pick up the key. He was so kind, cordial, and understanding. He said to do what I needed to do and he would be at the car. I asked if he could wait 30 mins and he said if course. He will be waiting at the car for me.
Anyhow, I arrived and he was funny, he was efficient, he had the car towed in no time flat, ande he even used the interstate, explaining that whatever route kept the mileage down for me, is the way he's going to go. He referenced numerous times that he did this kind of work bc he truly enjoyed helping people. And I have no doubt that's true. He was a complete gentleman and so kind and waited for me and even drove on the interstate bc it was in my favor to go that way instead of his favor of making extra money. Mr. Terry got me and my husband home safely after our transmission decided to fail on our trip to the mountains, we were 2 hours away from home. He brought us and our vehicle home safely. Even stopped to let us use the bathroom and get snacks after we were stuck for about 3 hours. He’s a man of his word and you can tell he has love for his job and customers. If we’re ever stuck again on the side of a mountain in NC I know who I’m calling first! Mr. Terry thank you so much! You brought us so much peace and comfort on our journey home!

We broke down (flat tire) in the middle of nowhere and could barely even give an address for them to reach us. They found us super quick and were able to switch out our tire and get us back on the road home. With a car full of kids I was really grateful. They’re quick and professional and kind. 10 out of 10 recommend.

Called them through my insurance company (Hagerty) when I broke down on the highway. First estimate was 1:00. By 1:20 they hadn’t shown, so I called and was told another 30 minutes. Hagerty also called and they told them the same thing. After 50 minutes they STILL hadn’t shown, so I called again and was now told the driver was on another job and would get to me next, no ETA. The excuse was it was a weekend (Saturday afternoon) and they only had one driver. Totally fine, but why promise times that you have no chance of making? I was on the side of highway for 4 hours before another company came to get me. (That company was on time.) Had CAF been upfront about the time it would take, I would have called for a ride and left my keys in the vehicle. Instead they strung me along on the side of the highway with false promises.

Very poor experience. Had a young boy come out to jump a battery per roadside request. Instead got threatened and insulted because he couldn't manage driving a car up a driveway. Had to tell him to leave because of the aggressive and foul mouth. Called company and was lied to about how she was on the phone when all this went down, when in fact there was no phone present. Will be contacting the Better Business Bureau. Don't ever come to a customer's home and act like a petulant child, talk about a waste of time. Insurance company is already looking into this. Should change the name to Toxic Towing. Don't get out of your vehicle and threaten a customer and yelling about how a customer wasted your time. Seems like he was more interested in making threats than helping a customer.

Eric just picked up my explorer to tow it a few miles up the road to the Spartanburg Ford dealership. Time was mostly spot on for what they estimated; and I was worried because they operate out of a different city. I got timely updates to track how far away they were. I would say only 10 minutes or so past the initial estimated time. Very professional! Did a great job loading and unloading my vehicle! I definitely recommend this company. Have never heard of them before, but would use them again if I needed to! Thank you Eric!

These guys are great people. They help me move my car from one city to the other. They didn’t charge me a lot of money. It was an affordable price not only that, but the people were very kind and helped me to get it there. I think they’re our family own business because the owner was there and everybody there seemed like they were family. Very nice people great business thanks guys.

I blew a tire in my Audi in Asheville. I contacted my insurance Company, USAA, who I could only reach by texting a robot. It texted me back very quickly that a wrecker was dispatched from another wrecker company. I waited a while, then got a text that it was cancelled because I was not at the address USAA thought I was. I tried feverishly to contact USAA because the address of me, my car, and my cell phone were at a different location. I was not able to clear that up till later that evening with USAA.. In the meantime, Michael from CAF called to inform me that he was on his way also to the incorrect address. I quickly informed him that the address he was given was wrong and gave him the correct address. Shortly thereafter, he arrived, changed the tire, and was as pleasant and professional as he could be. I appreciate that he took the effort to contact me; otherwise, I might have been there for who knows how long. USAA is a great insurance company, also and followed up with me when I indicated that I was not totally satisfied. They understood the glitch and promised to look into fixing that issue. CAF was great, and Michael deserves credit.

CAF Wrecker out of Hendersonville really came through for us. Terry, the tow truck driver, was a true pro—you could tell it wasn’t his first rodeo getting my truck out of a tough spot. The whole experience was stressful, but CAF made it so much easier with great dispatch (LeAnn!!!!!), follow-up, timeliness, and professionalism. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Had to have it towed (they were picked through my insurance company) and they left my keys out in the car overnight in downtown Charlotte and did not put it in a lockbox, my heys were left in the same spot under my floor mat and I left the window half way down in case it locked. Then when I called the front desk women, she was very rude to me about the situation saying they aren’t responsible and I can see why with the unprofessional way she came at me on the phone. I had a lot of my clothes and shoes damaged from this. The only people who were compliant and tried to help me figure out what happened was the place it got dropped off at

Excellent service. I had to get my Grand Cherokee towed for service. CAF was dispatched by Jeep customer care. They got to my vehicle very quickly and the driver was very courteous and helpful. They called with updates and I knew exactly when they’d be here. Highly recommend.
